I will apologize up-front if this has been addressed and/or answered in another thread. I took a cursory look and search and couldn't find anything, so I'm just gonna ask.

Does anyone have a reference for which of the Swap Force characters will be released as "wave 1" when Swap Force hits the shelves in stores in mid-October?
I know we have confirmation that Wash Buckler, Blast Zone, and Ninja Stealth Elf will be sold inside the Starter Packs, but beyond that, do we know which characters to expect to be in stores on October 13th? Or is it all just speculation at this point?

Nothing has been confirmed by Activision at this point.

Previously, we've found out what is in a wave (including launch waves) when random store employees (that often get negativly lumped in one bad group) take their time (and potentially risk their job) and leak the information out when the stores start receiving their shipments.

Although we had the kerfuffle with Giants where some TRU stores had Wave 2 boxes... that made things.... Interesting.

Like UB said we don't know much but other then Blast Zone,Wash Buckler and Ninja Stealth Elf we know Free Ranger,attle Shake and Volcanic Eruptor are coming in the 3DS starter pack,also Volcanic Eruptor being the 3DS varient this time.

My two kids are all excited about the SwapForce releases, obviously. I'm trying to set realistic expectations with them about which characters are actually likely to be on store shelves in October. I have no doubt that Activision will hold-out on some until the winter and even the spring ... I'd like to be able to tell the kids (who are saving up dimes and quarters for doing odds and ends household chores each day) who will likely be available in October, and subsequently, who they'll have to wait for.

I think we'll see...

You should pre-order the Adventure pack and Battle Pack now so you don't have to worry about that on day 1.

Also use the $10 off coupons you get from the Giants Sidekick codes. If you are buying a starter pack for the console and
presumably the 3DS that will save you $20 in which you can put towards 2 other $10 figures. Every little bit helps.

Yes I preordered the two packs--for the exact reason mentioned--something I csn mark off the day one list.
I totally forgot about tge $10 coupons! That'll save us $40!
Im going to go sell our blue wii/gnarley bundle at gamestop today--and our old Wii (we got a Wii U for Christmas)
They have some special going on for selling consoles--(I think)
So that will give us credit for "the big day."
I wonder about buying everything at Gamestop--will they have it all?--are there going to be other store exclusives? If I remember correctly Granite Crusher was released day one at Target ...could be things like that ..

I would presume, as with the Giants launch, there will be retailer exclusives at launch for SWAPForce.

I pre-ordered the GS exclusive, went to TRU for most everything and their exclusives, had my wife go to Target for when they opened for Granite Crusher, went to Walmart to buy the games for their exclusives, then went to Best Buy, they had *one* single figure I missed at Toys R Us (S2 Terrafin), so I went to buy him and they had tons of trouble ringing him up at the register (for some reason, he was the only one they couldn't get to ring up...). I joked with the eventual manager who came by that they should give me one of the goodie bags for my trouble. He looked at one of the other employees who said they didn't count as inventory, then tossed me one. It was junk, but it was free junk.

Depending on the exclusives, I'll probably do something similar again - Pre-order exclusives wherever possible, Toys R Us for their stuff, send my wife to the opening of whatever place has the best exclusive (or Target, since they seem to sell out faster than anyone).

I remember there being talk in an advertisement that GameStop was doing some frequent buyer promotion for Swap Force. I don't believe there have been any further details made available on it though.

So--will there be any possibility--high probability--of retailers running out of promos on day 1?

I don't think anyone did for Giants... however, I think retailers might be a little more conservative on their orders this time around - between Infinity taking up shelf space and the worry that consumers might be getting toy-fatigue, I wouldn't be surprised if retailers have smaller Day-1 orders.

I doubt it. There was no issue when Giants came out and now that there is competition (Infinity) there may be a few less $$$ to go around or forgive me for saying this but they may even jump ship after getting a taste of Infinity or even waiting for some deals/holiday.

I'd say target stuff, many have said granite was around day one and never seen again. So ya anything variant wise at target i'd go for day 1.

Out of curiosity, why do you guys think 5 light cores will ship in the 1st wave? Wouldn't it be 4 for 1st wave and 4 for 2nd wave?

Well--he also said it was from a good source--so I was trusting the info.

But just saying, how does he know this? If he works for Avarice, of Vicariouse Visions then its reliable but a store dealer is just an educated guess.

Well--I would guess that if he could be more specific about where he got info --he would have--again just a guess

Of course we are talking about day 1. I would try and get any store exclusives (Especially Target exclusives), a few days later it maybe hard to find them since all the scalpers have been set loose.
