After a long while the other topic is finally dead. I'll repost everything significant from the last topic.

There are 3 new Sonic games, 2 known and 1 only hinted at.

Sonic Lost World

This is an upcoming game to be released exclusively on the Nintendo 3ds and Wii U. What is known so far is a bit about the plot (found here) and what can be seen in the trailer, 3ds gameplay trailers and the Wii U gameplay trailer. The color powers available in the game are shown here. According to this interview with Iizuka color powers will become the norm in Sonic games. One of the zones in the game appears to bear resemblance to Casino Night Zone. The game has some interesting dialogue resulting in a slightly higher rating then other recent Sonic games. One cutscene has been shown so far, in Japanese and English. Btw, Rails. Japan will also be getting a DX version of the game. Sonic Lost World: Deadly Six Edition is a special pre-order version of the game. Screenshots of world maps.


Mario & Sonic at the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games

This is the next installment in the Mario and Sonic Olympics series. Some gameplay was shown in a recent Nintendo Direct episode.


Sonic Paradox recently revealed the last of their Sonic Shorts animation series, Sonic Shorts Volume 8. Also shown at Summer of Sonic was Metropolis Mayhem, a sequel to Seaside Denied, and Sonic Unleashed in Brief.


With that said feel free to discuss anything Sonic related here. This post will be updated with any new information on upcoming/current Sonic stuff.

Okay...well at first the new Winter Olympics looked exactly the same to me but...well I guess the other events they showed were new. Gameplay changed as well. I'll give them that.

I honestly don't see myself buying it though. I'll have to wait to see what the overall setup of the game looks like.

Also, don't change this topic title until Sonic Lost World releases, because then the line will actually have context.

Also, I plan to get Lost World for Wii U on release. It releases on October 18th in Europe, and four days later in the US. I know that most people here live in the US, and also may not have a Wii U.

Wii U's Miiverse has a great feature that allows you to upload screenshots from games onto it, and if you go to Miiverse on your PC, you can grab the image URL and post it elsewhere.

So yeah, I have a way of posting a few exclusive screenshots as I play and I can post my impressions on the game too. Would you guys like me to do that (obviously, I'll spoiler tag them, and will probably use urls rather than directly posting the images here)?

Just got 'Sonic Unleashed' today and am awaiting 'Sonic '06' and 'Sonic Heroes (GameCube Version)' in the mail. Unleashed is pretty good so far, very impressive cinematics and a very nice soundtrack. The only thing I don't like about it so far is that they put in hub worlds. >.>

Just got 'Sonic Unleashed' today and am awaiting 'Sonic '06' and 'Sonic Heroes (GameCube Version)' in the mail. Unleashed is pretty good so far, very impressive cinematics and a very nice soundtrack. The only thing I don't like about it so far is that they put in hub worlds. >.>

Crush 40 did all the vocals and guitars (natch), and I believe Alex Makhlouf supplied some extra synth. At least, that's how it went in the live performance. It's only available on the Sonic the Hedgehog CD Original Soundtrack, which I think is on iTunes. <.<
