if any canadians have address issues and paypal bounces you back to the start, just call in. they don't make you take the US citizenship test or anything lol, just have the zip code and phone number you used ready and they can see exactly what happened.

i somehow botched 4 codes using a US relatives paypal as i was using my postal service address not her home one but it didn't like that at first, so called in to reset them and the guy literally just said oh okay, here are some new ones. tried again today and the orders went through.

I had held out a slight hope that we might see the bags appear in our stores, that they wouldn't bother making special ones just for us lowly Canadians, but it looks like they did. They're not even BAGS, ours are boxes... I checked them all over, of course no mention of Skylanders or Sidekicks.

You gus have different assortments. I somewhat prefer those over what we have.

Actually, I hadn't noticed... When I saw the bags I saw at least one that didn't seem appealing, and was bugged by the usual "We'll decide what you want" mentality, but the red box looks interesting, LOL!

My knitting friend from the US is going to try to get sidekicks for me. She found a Series 2 Drobot for me. I'm finally able to stop by Skylander hunt.

I saw the chip at Walmart but no mention of Skylanders. Maybe Costco? I forgot to look when I was there.

S2 was out in Canada 2 weeks ago, well here in BC anyway. The TRU i went to only had a few shipment of him like 5 in stocks so alot of skylander hunters are still looking for him when there was only 4 of it since i bought 1 for myself , also S2 was out in the US for a while now.

Also weird is how some of the pre-discount prices are nuts, like Crusher being $19.99 before and $10.99 now. $11 is good, $20 is nuts, should have been $15.

Thanks for the heads up on VGP.ca! Grabbed some. I didn't even know about that place, so I guess they will getting some more business from me in the future.

Yea, I'm so glad I held off getting Bash from their site, I'd guess the higher prices were to combat scalpers? I missed getting Flameslinger from there though, might have to nab one at Walmart or something.
Also, I'd guess the extra pages in the search are something faulty in the search engine, maybe it counts hidden items that are now sold out? [I had a sold out Flameslinger that was sitting my cart from when it was still in stock.] I got that ¨more pages than results¨ weirdness happen to me on different browsers, so it's likely a site fail.

You're welcome! I visit their retail location often so I rarely buy from their webshop. Unlike their Canada day skylander sale, this time they did it right with free shipping and discounted figures as well as games. As mentioned before, the store stock differs from what's online; when I went to pick up a pre-order recently I checked their shelves but no SSA singles ._. There aren't many reliable gaming webshops within Canada, EB Games sucks, lol.

Extremely intelligent packers at VGP stuck packing tape on the outside of the Sky-L boxes. So much for my "collecting" extra Skylanders for the future. Idiots. I didn't mind the massage parlor ads that were all over the newspaper it came packed in, but perhaps it would tick off some parents. Oh well, get what you pay for I guess. Not recommended.

Eek, that's pretty bad; I just got my package today and it was wrapped on newspaper too, though there was a plastic slip over the top of the card on my Bash, the packaging is in perfect condition, so now I feel bad because I actually want to use him ; The only issue I had was my Empire of Ice box was covered in dust ._.;

Question about the game though, for the cosole POP games, does the actual disc case come plastic wrapped? Mine wasn't, and the top of the disc case plastic cover [that holds the paper insert] was scrunched up and I thought that was weird, but I can't remember if my 3DS games were wrapped in the boxes they came in either. Back when I ordered from them in like, 2010, they used actual packing materials [bubble wrap and those air pocket things] dunno what happened there :/

Just to confirm, I called Frito Lay and they said they are not having the promo in Canada and they did not have it last year. For some reason I thought I saw those boxes last year. Oh well.

We have boxes, if we want the chips, but there's no Skylanders promotion on them. So you might have seen the boxes last time, I did this time.

And actually the promotional product is in big bags of bags instead (seems like boxes are better, to protect the chips until you get them home, and until it's empty).

I just found a at my local supercentre joliette walmart!!! I'm so happy!

Camo, Warnado and Dino-rang were there.
Also Lighting Rod, Hex and Zook.
No adventure packs.

RE: console POP games, does the actual disc case come plastic wrapped?

Mine was a Wii-U version. I opened to check for you (I don't have a Wii-U yet). Appears to be no problems. It was sealed with clear plastic circle sticker. No wrapping on the actual disc case and there appears be no problems with the inner contents of the disc case and the paperwork inside. Take care.

Just an FYI, Future Shop is offering buy one get one free for "Skylanders Giants" figures; not sure if this includes the actual giant figures and lightcores too or not. A lot of the ones I might have been interested in are already sold out on the FS website and locally [I didnt even know there was a Bash/Spyro/Hot Dog 3 pack, would've gotten it instead of the Scorpion Striker pack if I had known then. Ah well ^-^;] Also their S2 Cynder is $4.95, guess they have too many of 'em stocked, lol. Additionally, the Giants starter packs are $39.99 until August 8th.

Thank you for the heads up on Gnarly. I was able to reserve online for pickup at Futureshop and I was also able to get S2 Drobot. I am only missing the glowing Cynder (from Walmart DS Starter Pack), Granite Crusher, and LC Hex. I don't think I will ever get a hold of Granite or the glowing Cynder though. The end is near! Yes!
