Anyone else come close to completing this task, but thwarted at the last moment by the Troll Invasion?



As someone who works full-time, I cannot sit by my device and click for hours on end. Here is to hoping they will offer more realistic goals going forward.

I have had about 20 trolls today thus far, but I've had at least half a dozen sheep as well. You seem to have had some bad luck.

Out of the last 40 or so spawns, only 2 of them were sheep. Back luck indeed!

I needed 3 sheep to complete that quest. Around 10 or 11pm last night I became invaded by trolls and have not had another sheep mob since. I hate that because there is nothing I can do to change the sheep mob appearance... Oh well, no scarecrow for me.

Yes I too got to 39/40 and got cheated by the troll invasion. I stayed up late for hours waiting for sheep & only got 2 mobs in that time. The game likes do depress me all the time.

I was 35/40. This Super Tuesday was such a joke. I demand compensation, as we all should. They made it so that it was physically impossible to complete this quest, thus forcing us to spend real money on Gems to buy the Scarecrow.

Nice way to keep people playing, Activision. NOT!

It's not much help when most of your skylanders are at level 12. The mobs & camps only give like ten hero points, so would take heaps to level up. Using the sanctuaries is the best way, as well as sending them on adventures. Make sure you always have energy crops going. I don't bother with anything under "Luminaries" as I don't check in that often. So when the element of the day is either water,life or air, I usually plant Domedelions, moss stash or grave diggers depending how often I check in. I'll only plant the quick ones if required for a task.

Sorry to hear this. I still got sheep with the troll invasion so i got my scarecrow fortunately but back in april they had a different sheep or troll timed quest and i couldnt get anything to spawn at all. That was a shrine reward i think and i was mighty upset about missing that one.

Ouch! Am am thankful that it was only a scarecrow. I think just seeing the timer counting down the minutes left while at 39/40 sheep was disheartening. I hope all of us better luck going forward!

I think I was lucky. On Portalflip's advice, I started hoarding mobs and camps about a week before this came out, so I had 9 mobs right off the bat.
