They are 2 different sightings...
you can look at the original and see the hook is USA made:
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html...cat=0&_from=R40
The youtube video has a UK hook

I also asked where cindybean got it from and this is the response:

I have a direct account with Activision. I received in a shipment of 250 boxes of the Wave 5.1 single pack Skylander Giants these were in that shipment. If you would like pictures I will gladly show you the shipment sitting on 3 pallets

Thanks

Anthony

But didn't we already establish that she couldn't have had an account with Activision because her net worth wasn't high enough? I for one would just like a clear, not shady or distorted answer. I'm so close to not even caring about variants anymore after all this headache.

Just saw a purple variant metallic EyeBrawl from another site.

[User Posted Image]

Unless I was able to get one for retail or they showed up as an in-game variant I'd rather make my own customs.

I thought someone asked her this earlier and she said the above statement.
If this is true thou and she has account with them then it makes some sense shes finding these things. I for one have seen wave 5.1 1 time at Walmart. the Walmart buy me got one wave 5.1 box and not another since. I know its very rare but maybe those first set had none of these are so little that the 1-5 ppl that found them just kept them and haven't come online to sell them etc.

I think these well be popping up by months end more on eBay or at most August. I mean Swap force is due to Oct there not much time left.

For someone that claims moral superiority, that is quite a vivid picture you are painting. Shall we call you out for using a mature insult indicating someone is playing with their excrement, or should we just assume you are using a slang term and don't mean it like that? After all these are just little plastic toys and fragile children minds we are talking about. That sort of salty language isn't nice!

See how that works?

Aren't you tired of getting taken to the psychological woodshed by Defpally yet, UncleTroll?
If someone took me to the woodshed as many times as you've been taken there over the past couple of days ... I know I would be tired and sore.

Regarding Cindy Beans ... there is no way that she has an "account" with Activision. She even said so herself. She has a personal "in" with someone at a major retailer's distribution center and/or brick-and-mortar storefront. The other two possibilities are that she buys them stolen/black market or from an international wholesaler, most likely from China. Regardless of which of these scenarios is the reality, it obviously involves some shady activity (at best) or illegal activity (at worst). I would lean toward shady, rather than illegal, because if what she has been doing was illegal, I'd like to think she would have been caught after being "in business" for over a decade.

If we make a (very modest) estimate that each 12-box of brand new sealed Skylanders costs $60 (it's probably higher than that), then she would have had to spend $15,000 to acquire 250 boxes. Think about that.

EDIT: Or rather the first sighting according to the date the video was posted.

NOW we're talking.

That little girl's accent .... Australian?
Pardon me if I'm wrong, Australians.

I've never heard of "TESCO" stores ... so I assume this came from outside the USA.

AHHH! Her accent is so cute! And she sounds like she's from the UK., I've watched plenty of UK TV to recognize it. I believe I've also heard of Tesco as a UK store. Also, notice it has the Euro peg hole, which I think is also in the UK, I believe Australia has the same peg holes we North Americans do.

Aside from the obvious, to assume "Cindy's Beans" is run by someone named Cindy, so presumably female... In another thread, I think the similar "Metallic Purple Wrecking Ball" thread, someone came across and shared Cindy's Facebook page, indeed a woman named Cindy. Although Cindy's Beans appears too small to be dealing with Activision, they DO seem to be considerably sized, I've seen "her" own page, I've seen eBay listings/store, and my first encounter was seeing her on Amazon (For a couple of "So-and-so is back in stock on Amazon" threads, every time they declared it to be Amazon listings with proper store prices, every time I checked they were out again and I only saw the reseller price, and it was always CINDYSBEANS). This sounds large enough to have employees. Maybe Anthony is her right hand man, or a manager, or a boyfriend, and as one of the above is the one who has a contact/account within Activision, which would be why HE answered and not Cindy. smilie

Late to the party, but what the heck...

After seeing that the Eye-brawl has a prismatic effect to it, which I'm sure is shared by Lightning Rod and Wrecking ball, and knowing that this color is pretty much referred to as "blurple" among the automobile customizing community, I'm going with that...Blurple Lightning Rod.

So Niceguy, Bahmut, or anybody who has an answer---
In one of those messages back and forth with Cindy Beans---she said that her Activision rep told her that these were "very rare, maybe only 500 or so total"
The context of that comment was that I should buy the one she had listed so that I didn't miss it. Of course that is a common sales technique. But I wondered, in the history of chase variants released...have there ever been any that are THAT rare? That couldn't possibly be true---RIGHT?

The Employee Prism Break, or Gold Flocked Prism Break, is probably less than 500. That's not much of a comparison, because it's a REALLY special case, but just to say it's not unheard of. smilie

Otherwise, I mostly only know what I read on these forums. smilie That, and my own grasp of logic. I suspect in this case it's rare right now since it's so new, but I expect it will be just as rare as other chase variants, like Glitter Hot Head. Especially since this isn't just one variant like this, there are 3 Metallic Purple variants.

Shelly:

I highly doubt only 500 of these were made. That's too few ... they wouldn't have bothered with the production. However, you can be 100% sure that the total number made is relatively small. This number is pure speculation, but if only 5,000 were made, that wouldn't surprise me.

If you're really serious about buying this Blurple Eye-Brawl, I would track the 4 or 5 listings that are on E-Bay right now. I would be shocked if any of them ends up selling higher than the CindyBeans fixed price. But you're definitely going to be spending at least $200 on this item on Ebay, and probably at least $300, to be honest. That's a lot of cash, but it's still less than whatever CindyBeans was asking for ... wasn't her price like $450 or something ridiculous like that?

If you look now at the later pages of this forum talk, there is a link to the cindys bean persons website shes selling the new variant lightning rod, If you look at the others listed you'll find that the other violet variant is wrecking ball, the scheme on him looks very well applied and this brings up the question, are these new variants real?, and with this my opinion is yes. evidence #1: toys for bob employee confirmed the variant, evidence #2: two different characters have been seen in the new colors, evidence #3: another person found the new variant in question and posted a video up on youtube.
