Suspensions and Bans are a natural part of forums/sites.
If rules are broken, the users are punished accordingly.

If they request a suspension or a ban and they get it then... wellIdunno... they.. wanted it?

Because they asked for it. Either by breaking the rules or literally asking for it.

It's that simple. The fact it's all happening around the same time is likely due to the fact it's probably easier to gnorc multiple people at once, a "While I'm here I may as well gnorc these guys too" kinda thing.
