Is Pacific Rim a long movie? [CLOSED]

131 minutes apparently. I heard that there's a whole bunch of action scenes to keep you enertained. Also very lound and ear-deafening.

On Sunday, my dad and I tried to see it, but (in our opinions) it was so boring in the first part we just left and saw Despicable Me 2 instead. smilie

I do wish to try and see that movie again since my cousins said it was "awesome" and "just like Transformers".

There's one problem that I had with it. It's too repetitive. Meaning the whole movie is just fighting a bunch of aliens, and everytime it's always the same. The robot comes out, they fight the alien, the alien goes down, and then that's that. The climax of the story didn't really last long. It was once again, fighting all the aliens, but this time with a resolution. That's the main issue I had with it.

The rest was OK, but I can agree that all the talking was rather...not really boring IMO, but not interesting enough to listen to.

Dude, that's how kaiju movies are supposed to be. If it's nothing but action, then there's no plot.

It did. After a set number of fights and what feels like too much talking, it really felt long.
