Pretty much par for the course for him. I might wonder if he truly thought you were being serious, but it isn't his first time. Pick out some minor minor detail, get all offended about it, then won't let it go or look at it from a reasonable point of view. Argue and argue until a mod closes the thread or deletes it. Just talk around him, he has no intention of coming to a resolution, so explaining it to him in smaller and smaller words is wasted time - because argument is the goal. Yes, "troll" is a valid term.

Not much going on with Giants anyways, and before other people get all upset about a thread going *gasp* off topic, remember that UncleTroll veered it into the ditch by taking an off hand comment very literally. No one else took it like that, and in fact I spoke to a few friends in addition to my wife about it (including female) and they all laughed at him. One has to wonder how he took an old Dan Akroyd/Jane Curtain SNL meme and came to that conclusion. Even when clarified for him, and shown how ridiculous it sounded, it wasn't good enough.

Of course, us forum goers don't want to offend him or he might not dangle his super secret infoz with us next time, and then hold it over people's heads for the next six months for not instantly believing him.

Oh great and all knowing defpally, please explain to the class, in small words, exactly how I was the one who took this thread off topic? It seems the thread was intended to be about the purple Wrecking Ball variant (See: Title and OP). Then, around post #17, some troll went on a rant about a seller is getting their stock for resell. Nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Bahamut takes the thread off topic, posts attacks and disgusting comments about other individuals (across three different threads, no less) and clearly posts comments intended to troll - yet, somehow, I'm responsible for all the evil in the world or something. Gotcha.

the fact they keep making variants this late in the game is really screaming some desperation now. they have another game coming out in a few months and they want to try to keep people in the stores. most likely you'll be able to find this and any other of the variants for retail or lower prices by the time swap force gets out

Thread was going fine until some troll around about post #35 decided to hang on a slang phrase as some horrible insult against womankind. Of course everyone already sees that, except the guy that cannot possibly ever be wrong. It was amusing the first time you did it, but these days it is obvious you are just trying to get a rise out of people and get the thread police to silence both sides and close the thread. Is that victory to you? If you want to debate women's rights there are a ton of posters over on Fox Nation that will say pretty much all your offended little ears can handle, no need to feign outrage.

You know, I backed you up when GM was getting overly sensitive about figure releases and you were debating him about it. Now you need to stop and listen to yourself. He acknowledged he was over the edge, apologized and you just kept right on taunting him over your bet. Take a lesson from him.

Has Chris or anybody verified that purple wrecking ball is authentic? Based on his confirmation of lightning rod I have no problem believing that wrecking ball is real--but just curious.

I too wish that there weren't any new variants coming out now. I wanted to spend this time wrapping up any missing items I have from SSA and Giants---not spending time/money on new chase variants. Also saving cash for our SF fund. That being said we love these two they look-super cool.

Yeah I agree. I wish there weren't any new variants coming out. I asked Chris about the purple wrecking ball, but haven't heard back from him yet. I am sure the wrecking ball is real.

Chris from Toys for Bob confirmed this.

Personally, I have never seen an actual "high-level" (for lack of a better word) Skylanders variant. "High-level" as in Silver, Stone, Pearl, Glitter...etc and not like the store exclusives including GITD Sonic Boom or the Legendaries. Perhaps I just have very bad luck when it comes to these items but I have none of them and pictures on the internet are the only way I even know these things exist. I think it is important to remain skeptical when these new variants come available as I realize there are people that try to make their own and try to sell them as being legitimate. But to say a toy isn't real until it is personally spotted in store I think is the wrong way to answer this question.

I'm a little late to this thread, but yes I can confirm that this Wrecking Ball variant is real.

Well I think the main goal here is to try to keep ppl going to stores during the summer. Only the diehards are going to be looking for this variant as I cant see at this point who would still be shopping for skylanders still unless:

1. They joined the game late/just got into skylanders
2. Lack the funds to get the last of the last they want
3. Can't find the last figures they need and/or refuse to pay above retail (IE eBay) for them or see #7
4. Are looking for special rare variants
5. Waiting on Jetvac (which I would at this point say is a collectors only search as it came with skylander giants)
6. Some reason I can't think of
7. Collecting/waiting on the last triple packs to save money/find the figure they can't find as a single but want (bash series 2 comes to mind)

#1 and 3 for me. Started in Janurary and for a few reasons ordering online is difficult so I am stuck with the hunt going from store to store to track down the last few. (S2 Drobot, S2 Slam Bam, LC Hex, Darklight Crypt, L-Stealth Elf, Dark Spyro) Would be going after more, but I'm holding out for S3 in order to get Spyro, Eruptor, and Terrafin.

Allow me to (re)connect the dots for you. Pictures shared show that Cindy Beans gets the big delivery boxes that only the big chains which deal directly with Activision are supposed to be getting, and I believe by her OWN claims she got 200 of. She shouldn't be getting 1, never mind 200, so this sparked the insult you objected to. Since Cindy's Beans got such a huge volume, she managed to score not one but two variants we haven't previously or otherwise seen, including a Purple Wrecking Ball. Sound familiar? You know, the character who appears in the title of this very thread? The very topic of this thread?

Again, it was on-topic. Secondly this individual has been basically proven to be doing something underhanded, the "insult" was calling her out on it. See, in ANY conversation, especially in online forums such as this one, topics have a natural growth and flow. Usually a general topic is introduced, and it fluctuates from there. Even ignoring anything that is truly off topic, plenty can be said that merely relates to the original topic and still remains "on-topic". In this case, this thread is about a mysterious Purple Wrecking Ball variant and the mystery surrounding it. Once it was established that it's genuine, that naturally raises the question of how this reseller got it. Where it came from is PART of the mystery, is part of the original topic.

Again, talking about where the Metallic Purple Wrecking Ball came from is indeed on the topic of the Metallic Purple Wrecking Ball. Not sure why that's so hard to understand.

Wrecking Ball has a Glow in the Dark variant.
