So I am thinking of getting myself on Furaffinity too, as I am quite well known in the Spyro community on DA. My question is, is it safe? Does it have viruses? Stupid GIMP destroyed my other computer with viruses and pop-ups, so now I am SO paranoid. :I I asked someone if it does, they said they don't know if it still does, but it used to. I looked online, but can't find answers. D: Please help.

I know of a few users that have a furinfinity, though they are never on. I think it's safe though. Not exactly sure. Though I was thinking of getting one too.

1. Depends how you define "safe" - it's NSFW, that's for sure.
2. That's not how websites work, get yourself some security and you'll be fine (AVG is free)
3. That wouldn't be GIMP, that would be your lack of security when you downloaded GIMP

But... I will mention this. You know what furaffinity is, right? You didn't just hear about it as another version of DA and think "I might go on there!", you know the reputation it has - yes?

You have the option of not looking at NSFW stuff on the site by changing the maturity filter.

Yes, but the community still has a bad reputation.

Even if turn off the NSFW, keep Brain Bleach handy at all times. The furry fandom is rather infamous on the internet and that site's the poster child. <.<;

It's hard to guarantee that sort of thing on any website, but compared to dA, I haven't had any bad experiences browsing the site. A number of ads on dA are pretty vicious, as they'll often redirect the page you were going to view into another page with the ad wanting you to download obviously fake spyware. I haven't experienced that sort of thing on FA, but then again, I just browse occasionally. I don't really associate myself with the community there or much of the site itself.

Okay, you see, I thought the problem was you were referring to me as a slut, which in no way I am.
