On the TRU japan website if you click skylanders click the wrecking ball 3 pack translate it and then read the description it will say rekkin-ball instead of wrecking ball and if you click the stump smash single pack and ranslate in the description it says stamp smash 0_0

EDIT: I just realized that wrecking ball isn't in a single pack but they have him in a triple pack could he be a triple pack exclusive? oh and the wrecking ball triple pack is triple pack C in japan

So you're looking for Stealth Elf? I've seen plenty of S1 Stealth Elfs at Walmart.

As for the Japanese versions, will they work with the US portal and game?

I'm thinking that if they're able to put them out in Japan, then even the ones considered out of production (Boomer & Ghost Roaster) should still be ready to be in production.
