In the ToysRUs ad that came out today they have all Skylanders Spyro characters single packs 2 for $14 and guess who is pictured? Boomer of course! Anyone have any luck with this or was it just a tease to get us into the stores?

yes. Bait and Switch. I hope someone calls them out on it.

The ToysRUs I checked had the sign up, they had about 6 boxes of figures that contain:

Drill Sergeant

Chop Chop

Hex

Ugh..

But there were a few Camo, Ignitor, Warnado packs there (one had an Ignitor that was coming out of the plastic holder at the bottom).

Nah he's in almost every ad that they advertise Spyro Skylanders. My friends aunt works there and has been checking for me since February with no luck.

I figured as much. I had some other shopping to do in the area and the ad did get me to take a look in their store so I guess it worked. I already have S1 Whirlwind and Stealth Elf....thanks anyway.

The problem with Boomer is he was really only distributed in waves 2 and I think 4 of the initial line. These were both waves that disappeared from shelves relatively quickly. The SSA product that stores are choking on and still appears in the backrooms and wharehouses of large retail chains have been boxes of wave 5 and 6. This helps if you are looking for WhamShell, Zap, Voodood or any of the others from this wave. However, the characters that were not in these late waves just become rarer. I hope people are paying attention the same thing will happen to figures from Giants next year.

TRU in my area had a ton of stock, but SSA was limited to Hex, Whirlwind and an unusual amount of Camo/Warnado 3 packs.

I saw a Voodood Boomer and Prism Break box before should I have bought it and kept it? There pretty rare nowadays right?

I need a series 1 zap...where u seen that?

I need boomer, voodood, flameslinger, and wham-shell. My TRU had the camo war ado 3 pack, and a single ninjini, the rest was standard fare.

Check Wal-MArt for those. It seems Wal-Marts have/are getting late waves of S:SA. I found a wham shell the other day at my local one.

I would grab him, but I like s2 flameslinger better...

They did not have Boomer at ToysRUs but when i went they did recieve a new shipment of LC Chill, Legendary LC Chill and LC Pop-Fizz also Ninjini. Just a heads up!

Also as for my Walmart they have These SSAs Whirlwind, Sonic Boom, Ignitor, Flame Slinger, Stump Smash, Double Trouble, Prism Break and Drobot.

Not the first time Toys R Us has done that. Won't be the last, either.
It's a tease. Nothing to get excited about, unfortunately.

I can always find Voodood at mine. I picked up 2 when they were on sale for 4.99 awhile back along with Flame Slinger. I see him every once in awhile at my store in Evansville IN. I have never seen s1 Hex there though which i still need.

One of my local Walmarts put out 6 boxes of Wham Shell cases, while another store put out boxes of wave 4, which had Zook, Lightning Rod, Dino-Rang.

Some people say their local stores are putting out cases that have Camo and Warnado, but I have yet to see those here.

Two of my TRU have multiple Camo/Warnado packs. One of the stores had about 6 in stock.

I managed to find one at TRU along with Ignitor one week, and I managed to buy it the week after. I'm surprised it was still there.

i saw hex somewhere the other day.

Today I went to ToysRUs, without knowing about the deal, and I found 1 Voodood, several Ninjini's, a couple of Ignitors, and a few others that were common like Whirlwind. That was about it. They had some common Giants as well. No Legendarys though.

our local tru has tons of the triple packs with warnado and camo. We also have a ton of s1 left, like hex, chop chop, drill sergeant, sonic boom, stealth elf, cynder, prism break, stump smash, not too many giants though. Also so you are aware, TRU doens't just make these right before the event, i think they were just using an example of a character in s1. They actually make these advertisements about 6-10 months ahead of time, so they don't actually have an exact guess what ones will be available. They possibly didn't know. HE might've been available when they created the advertisement. Just so you know haha. But i WISH they had boomer wouldn't that be awesome.
