Offline Play. Can watch something else while spending endless hours upgrading all my characters abilities, levels, heroic challenges and Quests. Darn if their are not a lot of them, it takes a long time.

My living room has two TVs - one for TV and one for gaming.
No advantage to the WiiU version at all.

Yes because everyone has multiple tvs in one room....what an ignorant comment.

It's exactly as ignorant as assuming everyone wants/needs to play the game on the tablet.
I'm obviously not saying everyone should have two TVs (although any adult should consider it, as it means that you keep the family together in one room even if people are wanting to do different things). I'm just pointing out that this one feature doesn't make the Wii version definitively better.

Both of my grandparents had two TVs in one room. Granted it was because for both of them it was because the first TV was old and quit working and rather than carting it away, they just stacked a new TV on top.

...Hold on, offline play? You mean one of the benefits of the only version of the game that has online features (Miiverse integration) is that it has offline play?

Don't get me wrong, 90 % of the time I'm playing on my big tv, I was just watching a soccer match and decided, "hey, I can level up Skylanders while I'm watching". That option is what makes it so cool.

Oh, I know it's so cool to be nit picky sarcastic jags because it is so tough to do and it makes you feel good to bring others down. You know darn well what I am talking about, the little 6 1/2 inch screen that when you turn on the game it says, "Gamepad Only?". Oh wait, you don't have that.... Just never understood why people think they are so much better than others that they have to rip them down-last time I checked a bully online is still a bully.

...What? We're not "bullying" you. You said the Wii U version had offline play... But all versions do. What point were you making?

Last Time I checked, all versions do not have online play.

Offline=Not on TV=Gamepad (Wii U only feature); make the leap, it's a small distance.

I like the Wii U version for -

- Off TV play
- Objective and stats screen on Gamepad instead of always needing to interrupt the game to check my objectives or stats

Two things the other versions don't have. I generally main the Wii U version, despite owning every other system this game has come out on.

Off/online referrers to internet features, it has nothing to do with the use of the game pad. You specifically highlighted "offline play" as a reason why the Wii U version is better than all the others - despite it being the only version to actually include an online feature.

i like the wii u version best as i like being able to play skylanders on the pad while watching tv. I personally would never put two tvs in one room it would drive me nuts hearing the other tv. Maybe your living room is larger?

Yeah- I often watch DVDs or Movies while leveling my 'landers. If I couldn't, I doing think many of them would have finished their heroics. smilie

Yeah, it'd drive me nuts too - but you'll have the same problem when playing on the portable pad, right? No matter what you're playing Skylanders on, you have the same three options for the device running the game:
1) Turn the sound of the 'game' TV right off
2) Turn the music of the game off and then the volume to extremely quiet
3) Whoever is using the game TV can wear an ear-piece.

The only thing I don't like about the Wii U version is that it was poorly optimisized. I've played all of my Wii U games a lot and this is the only one that has made my console lock up, and I haven't even played it that much. My cousin has the same issue.

Also, the fact you can check objectives on the bottom screen- yet not check the time trial time on it- is just maddening. Makes "objective" screen utterly useless to me, since I still need to check the menu.

The Wii U tablet is nice, especially for Heroics, but the trophies/achievements on PS360 arguably add more replay value to the game. The only version with no advantages at all is the plain Wii version.

^ The controls on the Wii version are an advantage.

^ You can use the same Wiimote control scheme on Wii U if you prefer it, and with shiny HD graphics.

Yep, no trophies make it even more mundane.

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed.
