I support this idea. I probably wouldn't use it since I'm quite fond of my username, but a lot of people would.

Heeehee that is a good idea :3 I might change it to that if the option is allowed in the future.

I really think this should be approved. Like, we could have the option to change our usernames around every three months. Or just do it whenever dark chooses new mods, it just needs to happen! I want to run over my username with a truck! Pweeze dark?

Everyone should ask dark so he does it. And what he could do is do it and have it up for a week and make a topic that you must post in after changing it. In the topic, you post your old name and new name.

We also also gave him an idea in this topic on how it could be done so is not abused.

I still prefer if is on the signature. That way is less..."poppy". Also, it could serve as punishment. Taking space in the signature and all.

I was Playing the song, so It was the first post that came to my head.

You have to understand that, while it seems simple on other sites, this site might not have been built with the intention of having you be capable of changing usernames in mind, In that sense, it could mean a lot of changes with how this place works, and such. This has been requested countless times, denied, and it could also be up to the admin's preference. Don't cop it up to mere stubbornness against demands, but the fact that this current system has worked, and dark may see it as unnecessary to add such a feature, and just a potential waste of time.

though the admin should worry about his users first, if they want a what should be a basic feature of the site then they should get it, the admin's preference should not be the leading one.

If We were able to do that I think I might do is either:

Take out the 100.

Keep the name

Or change it to XD001Pika

I would just shorten mine to HDAZ. It has a nice ring to it.

Or at least user titles would be awesome.

Yeah, you are allowed, actually. "Don't claim to be someone else, or someone different, or use it to circumvent a ban" are some of the general terms of it.

You aren't exactly, but it's not like he'll ban you as long as you don't use both accounts. Other people were fine when they completely abandoned their old ones (which includes not even logging into it anymore) and just went on the new ones.
And of course not claiming to be a different person.

i think you misread my post i said "what should be a basic feature" not that it's basic in the way you thought it was and hgiehgkagahenhdg
Oh and for the bold, then why do users keep requesting the feature like you mentioned in your previous post?.
I'd also like to note that I made another account on here and then suddenly Dark wouldn't let me access it anymore, I'd also prefer to keep this account for other reasons.

That would be difficult for some of us. *sigh* But I have known since day 1 that it's most likely the coding and programming required that prevents it. Even small changes to the site require a fair amount of code, I imagine. So creating this feature would take awhile, and implementing it for all the active users would be difficult. <.<

I have a really good idea. When we hate our usernames, we can make new accounts and ask dark to transfer the gems because most people including me dont want a new account because you lose your gems.

If a username change was implemented, I think it would be a good idea if a required Gem
count was needed. Maybe a high gem count? (But not 5,000,000,000 or anything.)

Also - if the 'Formerly Known As' was displayed underneath the username (which I like better
than in the signature), I'd like for it to be a light gray. Visible, but not garish and distracting.

Changing usernames with the 'formerly known as' is much less confusing to others "trying to
keep up" than having users just create new accounts all of the time, imo.

I think this topic is the most intelligent and best topic in SH&S.
