sweeet, ill go to TRU tomorrow and ask if i get single pack for free when Swap Force is out since i already pre-ordered it already or maybe its TRU deal U.S. only?

I would think you would have to wait to get the free character on 10/13/2013. Just to guarantee you follow through with the reserve.
Plus I would rather get a Swap Force character for free. It does say "ANY"

I just pre-ordered mine so as not to miss out on Lightcore Hex. I have S2 hex already as I gave up waiting for the lightcore, I also have Legendary Stealth Elf so From the 4 figures I get 2 'duplicates' of figures I have.
Oh well, at least they are cool ones.
I guess I could eBay Legendary Stealth Elf and Lightcore Hex for a reasonable amount.

Wow I really want this offer 2 free skylanders + 1 free poster plus a skylanders game for 74.99$ it's a really GOOD deal!

This might just be enough to convince me to get the game.

Considering it was fairly late in the game that we found out Walmart was going to have the exclusive pack-ins, this still isn't enough to get me to bite.

This is an IN STORE only. If you find one at the time (In Store), I would think they would have to honor it.

Since my plan was to buy both the Xbox and 3DS Starter kits, I am leaning towards buying this one for the Xbox and then go to Target to get the 3DS to get extra unlockable content. Unless Walmart can change my mind before the weekend.

I don't see any Swap Force characters in the pic. I would not assume so and personally I would ask.

Most definitely - I will ask.
Since it does say ANY SINGLE CHARACTER, they will pobably throw out an excuse that the Swap Force CHARACTERS are not SINGLES since they have 2 parts (Top / Bottom) But the repose or the new Swap Force characters (Non-Swap) should qualify since the ad does not narrow it down to SSA or GIANTS only or for that matter cancel out Swap Force charcters.

Did you qualify the free character? Or is there some legal mumbo jumbo in 1pt font somewhere?

The cashier said I had to wait to get it just like LC Hex. Just bring in the ad with the receipt (Dated on or before 6/29/2013) so there is no issues at the time of pick up.

If your asking me if I asked him if I could get a Swap Force character as my free character? No, I figured I would fight that battle on the 13 of Oct.
To me "ANY" means ANY. The only stipulation is that it's a Single character. And they will be stretching it if they say that Swap Force character is 2 characters in one.

What I've been wondering about is if preorders placed before the ad came out count for the free figure. The ad said it was good for orders placed from "now" until the 29th. Anyone know for sure if it's good for any preorder before the 29th, or if there's a start date to the promotion?

To be honest, I am not sure.
The ad does say starting now, but "now" is not referred to any date and I am sure when 10/13/2013 rolls around, no one is going to remember when the promo started but what date it ended and as long as your pre-order receipt shows a date before the expiration, you will have $10-$15 extra to add to your collection (Depending on what character you decide to get). Good Luck, I don't think you will need it.

I wonder if they're planning on bumping the price to 11.99 on 10/13? That would be sssooooo cruel. Still, good catch. Personally I'd get whatever new corelanders are out on that date.

Here are the prices for Swap Force:

In the past TRU has been $1 more than the rest of the chain stores so I would imagine that the Core Skylanders will be $10.99 instead of the normal $9.99.
They may have just did the price to cover their but incase they do raise it up, but also kept the price to low to get a Light Core.

When you Pre-Ordered, did they ask you for your email address? This is key to the Free Character, cause they will email you the coupon for your free character a week before the release of Swap Force.

I know they asked. I just can't remember if I actually gave it to them or not. I'm not fond of spam, so I tend not to just give it out to any company that asks for it. Guess I'll just have to make a trip in sometime and ask.

Dont forget to take in your receipt so hopefully they can look it up. If all else fails, cancel they Pre-Order and do it again, just do it before the 29th.

Target: Yes, They have a card for each system. The reason for different cards is to show what system you are reserving it for. From what I was told, the card will work on any system.

TRU: As long as you gave them an email address when you pre-ordered. You should get an email a week before the release date of Swap Force with 2 coupons. One for LC Hex and the other for your choice of character ($10.99 and Under)

With the release so far away, I'm holding off on any of the current offers. Hoping that when it gets closer to release there might be something more enticing to me. I think I'd rather get Free Swap Force toons over an old LC char.

If any offers arise that I prefer--well, oops wasted a couple dollars. However --if nothing better pops up, I'll be happy I spent thecoyple dollars on the wii u and 3ds starters.

The TRU ad for this week actually says "ANY character" (emphasis theirs). I suggest keeping a copy of the ad for when you pick up SWAP Force but you shouldn't have any issue picking any figure for the free one as long as it's $9.99-10.99.

I called my local ToysRus today and they had no idea what I was talking about with the third gift (Free any character). The guy on the phone proceeded to look at all the promotions they had available and he could not find it. I am in Washington state. Maybe this offer isn't available to me? or they just really don't know what they are doing lol
