Here is the message I received from the guy in Slovenia selling silver flameslinger and silver swarm

Hi Shelly,

I work for the Activision's representing company for Slovenia and Croatia called Videotop. This means all Activision stock goes trough our hands before it goes on the shelves of the stores. These figures are genuine activision stock, they produce limited number of them and package them as they are... 1/1000, 1/10000, 1/100000 (depends on the model, nobody knows what the ratios are exactly). Since we sell thousands of skylanders figures we get one or two rare ones now or then.

Ofcouse we didn+t paint it ourselves smilie The box is sealed, genuine stock, if you want more pictures of it let me know and we'll take them.

Why in the world would you have bought that many and open them? I can see why you would buy them, to sell them later, but why open each one?

^Not quite sure I would call a profit of $0-$5 a scalper. After fees it'll likely be closer to -$1-$3, so they could even be taking a loss.

I agree, after shipping/handling, Ebay and paypal fees, your looking at $6-$8 and he/she is charging $4.50 to try and cover that cost. That's a loss in my books if someone bids and doesn't get out-bided.

I would agrue that some of these are selling well. Take Hot Head for example.... He is still kind of hard in some cases to find. Easier then 7 months ago, but could still have to hunt. This could be a case of a guy finding these somewhere or having people return them because of some unknown reason. He did make it pretty clear that no returns would be accepted this time.

Bazinga, you're probably correct about Hot Head.
That wasn't the intent of my post.
There's a few Hot Head in that humongous lot of characters .... but there's a slew of Flashwing, Sprocket, Lightcore Drobot, Swarm, and Stump Smash. Those five characters tend to be the biggest offenders for Series 2 "Self-warming" and inventory-clogging in the major USA retail outlets over the past 4-5 months (along with single-pack Cynder).

Yeah, so our skylanders are world traveled huh...painted in China and then packaged in Slovenia and we only pay $10 for them. Wow these guys are literally working for pennies!
