I would say around the same time the first 4 came out. If Frito-Lay is doing the promo (All indications, they are) they will do it to promote Back-to-School again.
End of August/Early September.

Did you try EB Games? They had a promotion going a while back ..... not sure if it is over now. If you bough a certain amount of Skylander merchandise you got a sidekick free.

I think that promo is done.

Today I was told it IS over, that the promotion went until June 2.

I'm in Montreal, Canada, and I went to EBGames at the Hippodrome Blue Bonnets, at Namur metro, and that's what they said (said with enough confidence that it seems likely the guys really did know what was going on and what they were talking about). He said whatever they had left was in front, indicating a secondary display of Skylander figures that isn't usually there, but no Sidekicks were there.

I REALLY wanted to land another Sidekick, so I went to another EBGames, where I got my Whisper Elf, at Place Vertu. Last time they said all they had left was Whisper Elf, and this time was the same, I caught a glimpse of several tucked away by the cash register, looked like at least 4, besides the one I got. Just got back 2 hours ago, had to report my findings in a PM first.

I was really hoping this promotion would go on for a while, seeing as this was our first chance to get Sidekicks, as far as I can tell over a year after the Lays thing started. I thought maybe they'd get restocked with Sidekicks, but running out of all but one was kind of telling.

I think Activision should make it up to Canada by making the Giants Sidekicks available here first.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Sidekicks are nothing but meat shields. They do nothing but follow you around.

i wonder when the giants sidekicks will be out? i think they look cooler

And Lloyd: I live in your part of the world, in the Province of Quebec, and I got TWO Whisper Elves from the store! Before June 2, if you spent $20 on Skylanders stuff at EBGames, you could get a free Sidekick. A few days ago EB Boutique at Place Vertu (n St. Laurent, on the island of Montreal) still had a few Whisper Elves.
