so far, my only reasons to own an xbone are Halo 5 and Dead Rising 3(which shouldn't have been exclusive in the first place. all other xbone titles I either haven't seen in action yet, don't care about, or are also coming to 360.

if sony and/or Nintendo do a better job at their conference and direct, I may switch to those consoles for this generation, but that depends on what they showcase.

-Final Fantasy Versus XIII has be re-branded as Final Fantasy XV. Still seems to be a part of Fabula Nova Crystallis. Apparently Yoko Shimomura is rumored to be the composer, instead of one of Uematsu or Square's inhouse peeps. Right now, it is exclusive to PS4. Could change.
-HOLY **** KINGDOM HEARTS III IS FINALLY A THING! Again, currently exclusive to PS4.
-Assassin's Creed: Black Flag had actual gameplay shown, with terrible lag
-Watch_Dogs got some gameplay as well
-No used game fees or restrictions
-No required online check in
-The Elder Scrolls Online shown off a bit
-Mad Max is getting a video game
-Destiny gameplay shown and it looks pretty wicked
-There is one issue, in order to access online multiplayer features for disc-based games, it appears you are required to have a Playstation Plus account. Which is still cheaper than the basis Xbox Live membership. But still... ¬_¬

Sony had it in the bag. It was dominating. It was going to bury X1 (and it still did) and it was winning my heart. inFamous? Hell ****ing yes. It was all looking so goddamn fantastic. No used game restrictions? No DRM? Indie game support? $400? It was like a dream come true. Ubisoft and EA earlier then guaranteed that I would have games to play on it within the coming years.

Then I heard that you need PSN Plus to play online multiplayer.

...............................I guess I'm sticking with PC this generation. I'm sorry Sony but you ruined it.

Also EA's conference was pure gold (ignoring sports). Battlefield 4, Mirror's Edge 2, AND ****ing Battlefront? EA you're my goddamn hero.

So many games I'm looking forward to. Cheap price too.
I feel good about gaming this year.

Regarding paying for online, it's fully expected.

It costs a lot to maintain online services. Games and comsole sales aren't enough to keep online services afloat, especially when heading into a new generation. It was nice of Sony to offer free online play for PS3, but they had difficulty maintaining PSN.

e3 has officially changed my mind so im getting an xbox one instead

xbox one- has all its problems with taking out the focus of games, has a used game fee system, and must always be online, with the only games giving me a reason to own it are the new halo and dead rising 3. the fact that it's more of an entertainment system than a gaming console makes me seriously disappointed. not to mention its $500 price tag.

playstation 4- does not require always online, allows used games, and while multiplayer must be payed for now, it has way more exclusives making me anticipated: Infamous: Second Sun, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Final fantasy 15, and this may be an opportunity for me to try the kingdom hearts series now that KHIII is announced, and is going to be exclusive to the console. though $400 is still a lot to pay for the console, its better than the ps3 launch. and also, THE CONSOLE IS A FREAKING PARALLELOGRAM!

wii u- the conference hasn't started yet, but with a new Mario kart, 3d Mario, smash bros 4, Sonic: Lost world, Yarn Yoshi, Pikmin 3, and Zelda: wind waker HD, i'm going to have a reason owning a wii u, even if Nintendo quite hasn't gotten how to work online multiplayer just yet. from what I've heard, Miiverse isn't so great. and its $250-$300 price tag is real nice.

well, looks like for this gaming generation, i'm still sticking to Nintendo, and switching from Microsoft to Sony. pretty much anything but the Xbox One.

I just realized, Peach playable in a Mario platformer means Nintendo's actually going to have come up with something different (or just have Bowser kidnap Daisy).

I would love for that to happen. I don't like how the plot hasn't taken any change in the main series of Mario games since Super Mario Bros 2, and for them to do something other than "Bowser kidnaps Peach and Mario must save her" really excites me even more.

Nintendo had a dope display of games. Lots of awesome looking games. They had the best offerings in my opinion, by far. Plus, I already have and love my Wii U and 3DS.

Sony had a fairly good showing too, though Kingdom Hearts 3 is the only game that made my jaw drop. I loved their obvious kick in the balls towards Microsoft, though.

I mean, nothing really looked terrible, but nothing really made me say "I WANT THAT", except for Titanfall, but that's on PC and 360 (I get that people are excited for Killer Instinct 3 as it's the return of an old franchise - I never played them though, so I can't even get excited for that. Plus, Wii U has Super Smash Bros for me). Some unique looking games, but they only showed teasers for those kinds of games. And even IF they amazed me, that doesn't change the super oppressive and consumer unfriendly crap they have got going on, and their price tag is too much for me. Granted, they said their policies can change overtime, but the only way they are going to change for the better is if people don't support them by buying their console.

And arceus, the "two free games a month" thing isn't much of a point in Microsoft's favour when Sony offer more than two (not long ago, Catherine, Malicious, and Hitman Absolution were released on PS Plus for free, and Hitman came with free DLC too. And besides PS3 games, they also offer great Vita titles and cross-play games every month. AAAAND, they've already confirmed that the PS4 will offer free games too).

Yes, those of you with PS+ memberships will be happy to know it will transfer to PS4 with no strings attached, according to Jack Tretton. <.<

I greatly enjoyed what I played of Xenoblade. Project X looks fantastic and those giant mechs in that world gave me goosebumps! @.@
