With E3 right around the corner, I thought it would be handy to make a topic. Here we can post any new info about stuff shown at E3. And you can talk about the different press conferences and give your feedback and opinions. Hopefully this will get more use than last year's thread.

Most excited for Pokemon X/Y news!

I'm interested in all around what info is going to be given, if I had to choose which I would want to see most probably the new Sonic game, Sonic Lost Worlds.

I'm also excited for more Pokemon X/Y news, but with SSB4 this is just a more rare thing, so it's more of a treat :3

As much as I want Pokemon X/Y news, Sonic news and 3DS Zelda news, there is one game I want to be mentioned above all the rest.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII. If this game doesn't get mentioned at E3 2013, I'm going on a rage.

And Sonic Lost World info. There's supposed to be a demo around the time E3 starts. Or on Sonics birthday. It isn't confirmed. But it's rumored. What I know for sure is that local Best Buys will have demos for a while.

I am interested in Smash 4, mainly for one reason: the developer. Having the Tekken team working on Smash makes me very nervous the party/gimmicky elements are going to be toned down and it's going to play more like a traditional fighting game. Which would make Smash 4 a "no buy" for me, since I pretty much have no interest in pure fighters. <.<

Nintendos E3 Direct will feature a Smash 4 Trailer. Also, the new MK and 3D Mario should feature as well.

I'm mainly anticipated to see what Ubisoft has in store, with Assassin's Creed IV, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Watch_Dogs, etc. I can't wait too see other ones, such as Battlefield 4, Metal Gear Solid V, and the new Smash Bros, but Ubisoft is what I'm really excited to see.

as for console companies, i'm hoping they can win their fans this year. Play Station 4 and Xbox One have all its problems right now, and the new Nintendo games other than Smash Bros better give me a reason to own a Wii U, because i'm not going to get a console just for a few games.

But the Tekken Team also made a Japan exclusive Smash Bros-esque games on the GameCube. So to be worried that they would make the new Smash Bros a Tekken-esque game is nothing short of extreme paranoia.

There's also the fact that Tekken's mechanics only work because characters are realistically proportioned, making it easy for players to adapt to different characters due to the limb-control game mechanics.

Plus, Tekken games have plenty of fun modes that deviate from the arcade formula and make it a sillier affair (Mushroom Battle in Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition is a perfect example).

And just have a look at the GameCube game I eluded to earlier and try not to think "Smash Bros".

I SHAN'T DISCUSS. Seriously though, I wonder how Jack will do as Snake. He better do good.

Lightning Returns was delayed until February 2014 for the West. Japan is still getting it in 2013, though. So the novelty of the last FFXIII game being released in 2013 has kinda been ruined. :c

Also, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix is coming this September.

I had heard the delay was specific to some sort of special edition, but I might be mistaken. Also, gillgrunt, I do hope you know Jack Bauer is not the name of the voice actor. XP

I just hope that's true information. Well, I'm not getting my hopes up, but I can't see any reason why they should delay it after them saying to 'just wait a little bit longer'.

A full day of press conferences tomorrow. Got my snacks and my laptop ready. I have very low expectations (this E3 being as bland as the last one), so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised. <.<

I think Microsoft have already shot themselves in the foot, though I hope they at least show off some interesting games.

Sony probably have a good few PS4 and Vita titles to announce.

Nintendo excites me the most, though. They've teased so much stuff already, and then some.

I used to think the same, but then I gave CoD and Uncharted a second chance, and I loved them both

I'm thinking of getting a PS4 instead of a Xbox One, after all, the Xbone won't even be compatible with all my games so....

On a real note, I find it funny how out of all the things CoD fans are most excited for in Ghosts, it's the dog, Riley. (get the reference?)

EDIT: So the press conference is winding down, and true to their word, it was virtually nothing but game announcements.
-Kojima confirms MGSV: The Phantom Pain for XO
-Crytek looks to match blows with God of War with Ryse: Sons of Rome
-Project Spark is Microsoft's answer to Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet
-HALO 5... in addition to Halo: Spartan Assault for Windows 8 AND the Halo TV series
-Battlefield 4 was shown off with quite possibly the most minimalistic HUD I've ever seen in an FPS game
-HOLY SMOKES IT'S KILLER INSTINCT 3! However development will be handled primarily by Double Helix, with Rare consulting. Given Rare's recent portfolio, that's perfectly fine.
-Forza 5 has drivatars... ahahahaha
-Titanfall has free-running, jetpacks, and giant mechs to spice up the usual FPS flare
-Insomniac Games is creating Sunset Overdrive, some sort of open world zombie game, developed by Microsoft. We'll see if they suck all the life out of it like EA did with Overstrike/Fuse.
-Dead Rising 3 looks a little bit darker and edgier... until they busted out the sledge saw.
-Minecraft is getting a version for XO
-Oh, and World of Tanks is coming to 360

Here's the problem. Microsoft did not address ANY of the concerns people have had (DRM, always on, used games controversy). And the price? Well, it's going to be 429 pounds/499 euros/499 USD at launch.

Honestly, I don't think it was too bad - it was better than the last 2 years. People complained about them not mentioning the DRM/Pre-owned/always online stuff, but that's because they mentioned that the other day. Did no one see the press release that got sent to a load of journalists?

E3 was always going to be games, and I'm glad that (despite the backlash) they stuck by their guns and showed just games; except for the few seconds where they deviated to talk about Twitch and their recording-service.

Xbox One will be $500, confirmed on the E3 website.

They showed off some solid looking games, but nothing that makes me want to buy it. Disappointed in the lack of Banjo-Kazooie.

And apparantly there was supposed to be a question taking session after the conference, but it was cancelled, conveniently after the backlash that came with the info regarding their various policies, detailed on Xbox Wire.

I didn't watch the actual 'show', but I've heard most of the highlights, mostly bland stuff. Another Kinect Sports is the dumbest idea ever, the only thing that stood out was 'Sunset Overdrive', was it because Insomniac are making it.... yes.

Apparently Microsoft cancelled a whole bunch of press interviews. Adam Sessler of Revision3 was rather angry and I think he went silent on social media.

And understand that the 499 USD pricetag is in addition to the fees that would be associated with Xbox Live. On top of that, companies like Electronic Arts are hoping to drive up the cost of next gen retail games to 70 USD. I was never an Xbox person, so it was unlikely I was going to get this system anyway. Some of the games look pretty cool though. I hope Dead Rising 3 will be on PS4. <.<;

On the bright side, Microsoft are bringing in a watered down version of PS Plus, in the sense that you can get two free games a month if you have a Gold Membership.

But I already have PS-*shot*

Also, Disco Zombie wins E3. No room for debate on this one. *brick'd*

EDIT: So the EA press conference was... a thing. Battlefield 4 was much more destructible and 64-man mode. Plants vs. Zombies is getting a Third Person Shooter spoof of sorts. Also, PEGGLE 2! *rainbows* Star Wars Battlefront was briefly teased. Dragon Age Inquisition is looking to be bigger. New Need for Speed. Nobody cares about EA Sports. And Mirror's Edge 2 is finally coming, courtesy of DICE.
