can somone explain more about the sidekick promotion by gamestop, i am going to the US this summer and i would like to know if that could be my chance to get any sidekick?

also: how rare is s1 zap?
another also : what can i do with my spare boomer ?, i hate it to see him in my team//////I NEED TO GET RID OF HIM

I don't know if the promo will still be going on when you arrive as it us "while supplies last" and one of our local gamestops is already out.
But it is--each time you spend $25 dollars you can choose a sidekick. So, if you spend $100 you could theoretically get all four characters--if all are in stock. Please feel free to PM if you have any further questions or if I can help in any way

The promotion is very close to over and you most likely won't be able to get all (if any) sidekicks. Most of our locations are sold out and the others only have a few (Whisper Elf and Terra Bite). So your chances of getting a sidekick are very slim.

S1 Zap? Where I live, very very very rare. I've only seen him once and I bought it on the spot (and was obtained from a used game store so he wasn't new).

My general rule of thumb on worth is 'how ever much the person buying it is willing to pay'.

If he's loose, $36.

You aren't a scalper if your item sells for a high price, as most starting bids are REALLY low.

If you're talking about the original 4 Sidekicks, those will probably be ending their second appearance at Gamestop. I'd assume they won't have them again but we never expected to see them after the Frito-Lay promo so ehhhh.

As for the Giants ones, those are a distinct possibility if they don't drag their feet/if they haven't been entirely canned. (I find it fishy that we've heard zip about them since they were mentioned in a Giants interview) If they haven't been scrapped, you basically buy a bag of chips and then mail in for them. You could potentially put your regular address on them but I dunno exactly; you'd have to read the rules.

As for S1 Zap, I haven't seen him in quite some time. Your best bet would be trying online, although a good number of users have reported seeing S1 guys at Walmart recently. I dunno if anyone saw Zap yet, but you could always contact one of them that took pics and see if they'd be able to get you one.

Last I was at Gamestop they said for each $19.99 spent on Skylander merchandise (HAD to be skylander merchandise according to the guy) you could pick 1 sidekick.

Everywhere I've read it's $20 (or rather, $19.99) of Skylanders merchandise to get a Sidekick. Granted, I'm in Canada so I can't see this for myself (our thing is somewhat separate, it started at a different time, and it's literally listed as $20), but on these forums everyone has said $20/19.99.

"Rare" isn't a matter of opinion, it's a matter of experience, LOL! And yes, he is unquestionably rare. Widely regarded as the rarest non-variant, Wham Shell would be second place. If he's not rare to you, that would mean you can find lots of him in the stores near you, is that the case? If so, buy as many as you can and let us know, you'll get plenty of PMs from people wanting him... It's not scalping if you don't charge extra, just cost + S&H.

As it is, for SSA, between me and my nephews, we only lack Boomer and Wham Shell, and we have Wham Shell's Heroic Challenge in Giants, so I am REALLY motivated to get Boomer, LOL! I'd be able to get the SSA Accolade for having a character complete all 32 Heroic Challenges. Plus I find his psychotic look and his waving around of sticks of dynamite to be appealing. I kick myself that I'm pretty sure I spotted him on several occasions last summer and didn't pull the trigger to buy him. I think I often saw the Prism Break/Boomer/Voodood triple pack, but rejected it because I already had Prism Break. If you hadn't have gotten rid of him already you'd be getting a PM from me requesting him.

I think it was $@5 the first time here in the US back in marc-ish?, then recently in may it was 19.98 (as 2 singles would = 19.98 before tax)
