It was early morning at the Colosseum, tiny bits of light pouring into the basement. The night guard was relieved from duty by the day guard, and one of the Captains walked in, as he did every morning.

He went by Captain Xavier. He was tall and a bit on the lean side, with well groomed brown hair that was pulled back to show off his elven ears. His icy eyes glanced over the cells, staring down at the creatures. Some of them were awake, some even glared back at the Captain.

He smirks at those who glare back, then nods to one of the guards. The guard sounds a bullhorn, as he does every morning, in order to wake everyone up for the morning announcments, which are usually the same thing over and over again.

"Rise and shine, filth!" Xavier calls out. "It's time for another wonderful day in the Colosseum!"

Mimini awoken with the yell and she shook her head as drowsiness over took her and she had not wanted to move from her spot. She simply layed on the floor of her cell and watched Captain Xavier pass by her and her cellmate's cell.

Nadia groaned, covering her ears as best she could with her tiger paws. She hadn't been here very long, and she already hated the sound of that horn. If only she could break that darn thing. Not only that, but she wasn't exactly an early riser. She liked getting a little bit more sleep before officially getting up. Plus, werecreatures in general were nocturnal. Nevertheless, she would have to get up, or they would surely complain or something. Letting out another moan, Nadia lowered her front paws, using them to instead push herself up into a sitting position. She was in her feral tiger form, as she had already found out from experience that her human form was off-limits. She also already tried to remove the collar and break out of the cell, and of course failed miserably to do either. After a certain incident with the strange collar after those attempts, she decided it wouldn't be a good idea to try again. So she sighed, simply sitting inside the cell, as that was pretty much all she could do right now.

Belle had already been awake, and stared emotionlessly at the captain. She was quite used to this routine, and tended to wake up about half an hour before Xavier even came in. Xavier was standing between her cell and cell 2C, one of the larger cells.

Rain, however, had the opposite reaction. She growled and held back her fire, knowing that it would just cause the collar to induce sleep. Being across the room, she couldn't get a clear shot anyways.

Xavier's smirk deepened. "Just a reminder that tomorrow is the weekly physical exams. To those who don't know, or are too stupid, that means that you'll each be taken out of your cell and escorted by guards to the health unit, where nurses will look over your vitals and examine your mental state. If anything is wrong, you will either be treated or sent to...the maximum security level."

Some of the creatures in the cells hissed, others glanced around nervously. No one really knew what the maximum security level, the soundproof room below their cells, looked like. All they knew was that once someone was taken down there, they were never seen again. Not in the cells, not anywhere in the Colosseum.

Belle stared down at her hooves uncomfortably.

Nadia heard Xavier from her cell. She simply scoffed and layed back down. A physical exam didn't concern or worry her at all. In her world, she was a rather skilled hunter, even considered one of the best. She was almost always working out, or training, or doing something similar. Passing an exam like this should be a walk in the park. Besides, her sister was a healer in her home world, and she would have already found about any health problems, if she had them. She was sure she wouldn't get sent down to the maximum security level. What was that anyway? It didn't sound that bad. It wasn't like these guys could actually take her on if she wasn't locked up and forced to wear this collar. Even so, Nadia felt confident in her abilities. She wasn't one to get scared easily anyway. Plus, she hadn't been there long enough to know much at all about the lower level.

Blaze slowly awake from his slumber. His big dark eyes watched General Xavier. He arose from the ground until he say his tail. His eyes shined as he chased it. He had long ago lost his dignity and as you call, "brains." He spun repeatedly in a circle until he tripped. He came crashing to the floor. He then looked over to his cell mate. He never really learned her name, and if he did it would always slip from his mind.

When Mimini heard the captain she got up and looked out of her cell and down to her left to the other cells. She sighed and moved to the back of her cell, she looked over to her cellmate and to the outside of her cell. She wasn't looking forward to the physical,Why do we even need physicals?! Why do I even need a physical? What's to examine on me?!, she thought. She started to try adjusting her bleek colored robe by tilting her neck and trying to move it up her shoulder by putting her head down on it and moving her head towards her neck area. Mimini then sat down on the floor against the wall.

Rain returned Blazes look. In the short time she'd been here, Blaze had been a warning, yet oddly also a comfort. He was an example of what would happen if she were to defy the guards much too often; insanity.

However, there was something about him. Even though he didn't have the same mental abilities as before, he seemed oddly at peace. He was literally chasing his tail while all of the others were cowering before Captain Xavier.

"In other news," the captain droned on. "The centenial is almost upon us, and we'll be attracting more tourists throughout the month. Physical standards are going to get tougher to meet, we can only keep the best of the best for the centenial celebration."

Belles ears perked in surprise. The centenial?

"Interesting. The centenial..." Shadow muttered under her breath. Meanwhile Wave awoke with a start when the horn blew. Shadow had already been awake. Wave craned his neck, peering at Blaze through the bars. I could never be so unworried, even if I was insane... He thought. Shadow reached for dagger to sharpen it before realizing it had been confiscated. She proceed to sharpen her claws on the cell wall after marking of another day.

Captain Xavier's words held Blaze's attention, but only for a little bit. He really did not understand most of his words. To long and complicated. Though, he did understand that things are going to get harder. He picked himself up, stretched, and yawned.

OOC: Man, I'm so hyped about this RP! I've been looking forward to it all day! *excited dance*


At the sound of a blaring, woodwind instrument of sorts, Pehcook swam out of the tar-like blackness that many called "unconsciousness". Startled, his head shot up, but instantly regretted it as the rest of his senses awoke. The scent of rot, decay, and poor hygiene wafted into his geometric nostrils regardless of whether he was breathing or not. The flooring was hard and stone cold; bits of sediment and derbies irritated the small yet paining cuts and slices across his neck and legs. Yet he hardly noticed any of these offensive effects, as the very worst of it all was an absolutely excruciating headache, which throbbed waves of pain bordering the intolerable through his meddled mind.
Clutching his spherical(and aching) forehead, Pehcook let himself lie limp again, inhaling and exhaling in ragged, pained breaths. When the throbbing finally died down enough for his webbed "ears" to pick up sound waves other than his heartbeat, his rectangular-shaped feet forced him upright; he heard voices.
"... Nurses will look over your vitals and examine your mental state. If anything is wrong, you will either be treated or sent to...the maximum security level."
What the extraterrestrial hoped to be an allied team was giving him the creeping suspicion that these flat-faced creatures weren't on his side. Well, metaphorically speaking, of course; the dictator was right next to his cell.
Cell?
Pehcook frantically looked around, awareness returning to him. Indeed, he was in a cell, and he wasn't alone. They filled the entire building(was it even a building?), each one of them undoubtedly filled with unlucky life-forms such as himself; this was a prison! He let out a groan of despair. He about had it with prisons.
Remembering his training(what he could remember, anyway), Pehcook inspected his body. Several small cuts from a thorny bush... the one where he was jumped by the THING... Some weird, smooth collar around his serpentine neck... his helmet gone, gloves removed, belt disconnected and well out of sight... meaning no jet pack... those brambles must have been pretty sharp to puncture his spandex suit-- wait a sec... sweet globular clusters, he was stark naked!
Letting out a squeak of surprise, which only added to his immense embarrassment, Pehcook leaped into an awkward position where his front legs and thighs crossed together to hide the exposed area. To his ever-increasing humiliation, the skin under his eyes burned with sudden heat; he sincerely prayed that the nearby cellmates and captors didn't have intense enough sight in the darkness to notice that his face had swiftly changed from green to purple.

Best of the best, huh? Nadia thought. Then she smirked confidently. No worries. I AM the best there is. This will be a piece of cake. She thought. Nadia then rolled over onto her side with a smug grin. She figured she had absolutely nothing to worry about, since she was like the best hunter back home.

Laneleh, having already been awake, glanced back around at the harsh voice, her eyebrows raised skeptically. She had been sitting, watching the wall at the back.
Fun, she thought, looking around to the other celled creatures. Not all of them looked quite, well, sane. Reeeaaaal fun. Another fight, a new way to think.

Blaze looked at the other cells. He knew none of their names. He started to pick at his feathers. After he was done, he looked up. He saw one of his feathers that he plucked glide through the air. He happily chased it. The feather passed through the gaps in the cells while Blaze slammed into the bars. He whimpered and staggered back, eventually falling back. His head was spinning and he showed it with his head moving around. He finally fell backwards onto the floor.

Calti and Darin, both of whom were asleep, woke up from the blow horn. Calti merely sighed. 'Another week, another physical...' (He thought to himself) He was used to captivity; this was just a slightly different kind of captivity. Darin, on the other hand, had literally just arrived and started to freak out. "Oh no... is this... a cage?," he thought out loud to himself. He frantically looked at the others cages, the guards, and other prisoners. He immediately noticed the collar from earlier and started to grab at it...

"Now then, breakfast will be served in a few minutes, as always. Then you have half an hour to yourself before we start to call upon you to battle." Captain Xavier said. "Today is Quadrent Day, which means the Colosseum surface level will be divided into four sections. Those fighting in each section will get further instruction prior to entering the ring."

With that, the captain turned swiftly on his heel and marched out of the room, heading back up to the health unit. The guards shifted into their positions, while two others circled through the room, glancing into each of the cells.

Belle rolled her eyes. She knew that the guards would walk around for about ten minutes, then pull out a table and chairs and start playing cards.

Meanwhile, the food carts had started rolling in. The food wasn't too bad, even if it was a little plain. Herbivores like Belle usually got simple salads for breakfast, with the dressing of their choice, and a bit of fruit. Carnivores got eggs and sausages, which were sometimes a bit cold on arrival. Omnivores got a mix of eggs and fruit. Those who they weren't sure of what they ate, got to choose between the three.

The food carts started on the cells closest to the health unit stairs, then worked their way across the room.

The collar took note of the newbies surprise and struggle. It quickly tightened and began to numb is mind, causing his limbs to go limp.

OOC: Lem, do you mean just Darin, or all of the newcomers?

Pehcook's slain dignity was temporarily forgotten when he heard "Colosseum". Crudlar, not another one! I hope I'm not having flashbacks again, he rambled in his mind with alarm, pacing across where the cell bars stood. He remembered the event that ultimately led him to becoming a Chorihzian Hero: fighting in an illegal Colosseum at the edge of his galaxy.
The plate of food that slid under the bars wasn't even noticed by Pehcook; nothing mattered to him but OUT OUT OUT!! And... perhaps a little bit of clothing couldn't hurt...
Peering his rectangular snout as far as he could out of the bars, he set his gaze on the guards that seemed to be magnetically attracted to a set of chairs and a table. Still holding his limbs close together to hide himself, he tried clearing his throat.
"Um, excuse me?" he called. His voice wasn't exactly deep, but certainly masculine. One to hear it would possibly think of a commercial narrator-- only without the annoying verbal urges to try this rad, new acne cream(which likely wouldn't work in the first place). "Hello? Guard-people? Do you take requests, just for dignity's sake?"

Blaze happily looked at the plate of eggs and sausages. He chirped happily and devoured his food. All of a sudden, there was a loud crack. Blaze had eaten all his food and even the plate. He smiled like nothing had happened and yawned.

As the collar numbed his senses, Darin became disoriented and released his grip on the collar. He collapsed to the ground, panting heavily. As the food carts went around, Calti opted for the eggs and sausages. Darin, on the other hand, was still too disoriented to choose anything.

Do'Giarah sat in his cell cross legged with his long tail curled. He had his eyes closed and was breathing calmly. He knew that to prepare himself for whatever lay ahead his mind and body had to work as one, health of the body starts with the mind and if he ever wished to pass whatever twisted test this was he would have to be in a state of total balance. He had learned well from his master that very important lesson. One day when he gets out of this prison he would sever the windpipe of that rotten dog that skinned his master alive. But right now he had to be focused on one thing, staying alive.

Nadia immediately sat up once her nose caught the scent of food. It might not have been great, but it was better than nothing. Plus, with a big appetite, she was in no position to turn down a meal. It wasn't long before Nadia was served her breakfast. Eggs and sausage. She sniffed at the food. It was a little cold as usual, and it wouldn't taste great, but it would suffice. She ate the eggs first, finishing them rather quickly. Then she moved on to what she considered to be the better portion of the meal, the actual meat. Just a few more bites, and her food was gone. It wasn't nearly enough to satisfy a tiger, but at least she wouldn't starve. Nadia now sat there in her tiger form, licking her mouth. She then grinned. The battles would start soon. She hated being confined with nothing to do, and being fed like some common animal, but she admitted she did enjoy the battles. She began to wonder who her opponent would be.

Shard heard the food carts coming. He stayed still and silent. Shard hadn't moved much of a muscle since he arrived in this cell anyway. His mind was too dazed to really think straight and his wolf senses seemed dulled, probably because he was still groggy from the little sleep he got. Shard turned his gaze to where the hellhound was, watching it a bit curiously with a fixed gaze.

Blaze looked at all the other creatures again. He wondered if they would give him their food....they probably wouldn't. He sighed and walked around the cell. He knew that he would fight soon but didn't really care. He liked the fights because they are fun. He loves to play tag with the other creatures. They always seem to chase him, even if he's it. Weird.

Heiwa was already awake when the captain came in. She wanted to have as much time to be alone and relaxed before the day at the colosseum officially started. She walked to the front of the cell, hoping to get a really good view and listen, she wants every little detail that she can get. A growl escaped her throat when the captain mentioned the maximum security. She always wanted to know what was down their, but she also knew, in the short time she has been here, no one came back out alive. She kept her ears open for new information. the best of the best for the centennial celebration you say? she thought, now getting her arrogance get to her, and groomed her claws, it's not often you get a three crossbreed of some of the fiercest carnivores around.She then noticed her cell mate, Darin, collapse on to the ground. At a moments notice, she ran right to his side.
"are you alright? Say something!" the cross breed desperately asked, while shaking the griffin. come on, please, stay alive. when the cart came around, Heiwa chose her usual carnivorous meal. "and... Get a mix of eggs and fruits for my cell mate" Heiwa added, looking back at the griffin

Jack down at the same place he awoke from.He was thinking. He thought how would his family feel about this. He also thought what would they do with a problem like this.Suddenly, Jack heard a sound, he got up from his spot and walked over to the front of the cell and saw nothing. He soon realized that he was hungry.Soon food came. He was mad at what he saw on his plate and refused to eat it.

It looks hungry. Even after the meals.....Jeez, it's looking at me like I'm the snack. He sighed, bending down and ate the measly meal silently, licked his lips, and sat right back up in the same position as before. Ugh....of course I'm the one stuck with one of the more deadly cellmates. He turned his eyes and stared at the door for a long while.

Name: Sasha
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Appearance: (Winged wolf) A dark grey fur color, with patches of white, blue eyes, a white/grey patch at the end of the tail, and white paws. Her wings are a bright white, with black at the end of the feathers.
Where/When are they from?: A distant land, but not TOO distant, called Atania (Atania is my favorite name for a country, so I use it a LOT ), that has many creatures similar to her kind inhabiting there, for most creatures in Atania have wings. Atania is mostly made up of forest/rainforest-like biomes and small waterfalls scattered around the terrain.
Personality: Sasha is usually stubborn and likes to hide her emotions. She is easily irritated, and is usually secretive, but has a friendly side under all those layers of bitterness.
Strengths: Sasha is rather experienced in combat, and is able to use forest or rainforest-like areas to her advantage, because she grew up in an area like that. She has reflexes slightly better than the average, and is able to examine the situation rather quickly, and that helps her decide on how to approach the situation. Her ability to fly also comes to her advantage most of the time. She has fairly sharp teeth and claws.
Weaknesses: Sasha's flight can easily be impaired if she injures her tail or either of her wings. This can cause her to possibly crash, and can cause further injury. She is easily enraged, and that can cause her to attack impulsively, and that can lead her to many injuries and regrets. If her wings are injured, they just add weight to her, slowing her down. She is rather thin, and doesn't have much muscle either. That may allow her to be more agile, but makes her easy to knock over or throw around.
Other: Has been in the colosseum for 3 years.

Darin, whom was still panting heavily, slowly came to his senses. He looked up at Heiwa, "Where... am... I?..."

Shadow selected her eggs and fruit, as did Wave. Before she started eating, Shadow conjured a small fire ball in her palm. It seemed the slightest bit bigger since her last attempt. She grinned. After dispersing the fireball, she ate her eggs and fruit. Wave ate his breakfast longing for the fresh hunted fish he loved. "Did you notice my fireball? I'm getting better at this!" She said to Wave. "It looked the same size to me." Wave prepared to be snapped at. "Well it was bigger!!" Shadow said almost hollering. "I... I'm sorry Wave..."

"you're in a colosseum cell, I welcome you" Heiwa explained, and smiled as she said her last statement, followed by a small bow. "and don't mess with that collar, otherwise that happens" she added, "and if you don't mind I ordered your food for you." she began to become a bit embarrassed from all her chattering. To end it, she pushed his omnivorous food to him.

Nadia wished she could shift to her human form and use weapons, like she was used to doing. She never really felt the need for weapons, but they were nice to have. She did like being able to use her human form, though, especially since she hadn't exactly mastered control over her halfling form. She was still reluctant to use it, because of how volatile her halfling form was. Still, though, she was unable to shift to her human form now, and it would be beneficial to make use of her halfling form. Nadia wondered if she should risk using it. She wondered if she had any chance of maintaining any kind of control with it. Perhaps she should try it, or should she save her halfling form only for battle? But would that be the best time to take a risk? It could end badly. Then again, her halfling form had never really failed her in combat back home. Plus, there was no risk of hurting loved ones here, since they were all back home. It should be safe to use her halfling form without much consequence. If nothing else, it would help her out during a fight.

Darin nodded as he began to eat his food. Hmm... the food could certainly be worse. (he thought to himself) As he ate, he began to calm down. Calti, from his own cell, was observing the newcomer. He'll have to learn to get used to captivity... as I did. (he thought to himself) He had finished his food and thought the same. It wasn't anything special, but wasn't too bad.

Do'Giarah opened his eyes and stood. He casually walked over to the plate with the food in it. He sat back down on the floor, taking a bit of fruit and starting to eat. He had great endurance and can go for days without food, water or rest.

OOC: Accepted! Just let me update the cell list.

The guards glanced up blankly at Pehcook. "Yeah, what is it?" one of them asked flatly.

Belle spoke up, since her cell was close to the guards. "I do believe you accidentally confiscated his clothing." she said softly. "Look at the poor thing, he's embarrassed."

The guard that had spoken up rubbed his chin. "Hmmm, yeah. I think we still have that. I guess I could go take a look...in a few minutes."

Belle rolled her eyes. She turned her gaze to the cell across from her at Pehcook. "There should be a blanket on the floor behind you. You may have to be patient in getting your clothing back. Just keep calm and have a little breakfast."

Rain eagerly ate her breakfast, perhaps a little too eagerly. With dismay, she soon realized that she was too full to finish her last egg. She eyed Blaze wearily, then slowly pushed the plate in his direction with her paw.

Mimini looked down at her eggs and fruit. She sighed and got up, she looked out her cells and asked the guards,"Excuse me, but could you happen to help me once again?". She needed help eating from a plate as she was used to eating food from places of her height. She awaited the guards response.

One of the guards, a younger one, was shoved over to Mimini's cell. "Uh, yeah, sure. Just a second here..." he mumbled. He was a bat-like humanoid, and had a small ray gun in his hands.

He aimed at the plate of food, and a glowing blue rope of energy reached toward it. With some clumsiness, he managed to use the gun to lift the plate up to Mimini's height. "Um, is this good?" he asked.

Heiwa chomped down her sausages, and nibbled on her eggs. She was never the biggest fan of eggs, but the sausages alone weren't really enough.these aren't so bad, if they didn't feed us we couldn't fight. The whole time she eyed the griffin. When she finished the last of her eggs she commented "looks like you calmed down a bit."

"Thank you kind sir," she thanks the guard as she moves her head over the plate and sucking up the eggs than the fruit down to her gizzard. She finished all of her food said to the guard,"Thank you for your patronage.".

Darin finished shortly after and nodded again. "Yeah... it was just a surprise, that's all. I don't particularly like being caged and this isn't exactly the most pleasant place to wake-up in." As he glanced at the other cells, one could see a slight look of nervousness in his eyes... or perhaps just the feeling of being trapped. The food served as a temporary distraction. In any case, he was trying to hide these feelings... partly because of the collar.

The guard slowly nodded. "Yeah, no problem." he said softly, lowering the plate to the floor. "Though, you might not be so lucky when lunch comes around. My shifts over by then, and some of the guards can be a bit harsh."

"I see, well I'm Also rather new to this place" Heiwa said, "let us hope we are good cell mates." she trudged to the front of the cell, looking through the bars. I think I'm going to like him as a cell mate, as long as my temper doesn't fuse.

Sasha lazily propped herself up without a word, she was silent the entire time. Her eyes quickly adjusted to the lighting from the deep blackness of her sleep, and slowly stood and crept to the gate that trapped her in the cell. She was given her usual, the carnivore meal, and slowly, but neatly ate her sausage and eggs, remaining quiet and emotionless. She drowned out whatever sound was going about the room, mostly because she has heard the announcements far too often, and she could easily predict their next word most of the time, and secondly because she didn't care. She looked at her surroundings, and laid back down again, settling against the cell wall once her meal was finished. She rested her head on her paws, and began listening and watching her surroundings.

Darin nodded in agreement before laying down near the back of the cell. As much as he disliked this cage, he was glad to have company. Calti, meanwhile, stopped observing the newcomer as he appeared to be settling in. He laid down as well, calm and relaxed as usual. Within the month he had been here, he never once activated his collar. Having experienced captivity throughout much of his life, he was comfortable in this setting and knew not to mess with collars and/or other restraints.

I tottaly blanked on the personality thing... I may have spread it around the rest of his sheet though(lol). Personality: Nice/brutish; caring/insane; thoughtful/murderous; careful/accide-... Danger loving; what ever he is one minute, will be the opposite the next.

Ash sat in a dark corner of the cell he was in with Mimin, trying to avoid her as much as possible. He just sat quietly with a glimmer of liquid on his cheek. Every now and then he would wipe it away and site with a smug smile staring at his cellmate. His mane changed with each little session, causing him to fix it each time his personality jumped. He had little to no control over what he did when his mane was a mess. If close enough a hum could be audiable, one that would creep anyone out if it was heard at any random moment. He constantly eyed any guards in the area when his mane was set and a drop of water on his face.

He suddenly stood at one point when his mane drooped and flipped out, just standing there shaking like he was in a mental battle, Don't do it! Leave her alone! White screamed in his mind.

Laneleh cocked her head slightly, observing Do'Giarah quietly, ignoring the food. She never felt the need to eat, seeing as she was undead and everything. Didn't stop her from missing it, though. She missed a lot of things. Rather, she concentrated on the other creature's movements.

Do'Giarah finished eating the last bit of fruit and stood up. He walked back over to the spot where he was before and knelt down without a word. He instinctively looked up and began to pray in a hushed tone muttering the words in another language.
