Well, I got an S1 from my 3DS SSA starter kit sitting in one of my drawers, and if I can't find a copy of Giants 3DS game only on Amazon/eBay, I'm going to have to deal with an extra from the 3DS portal owner's pack, since I got a from the PS3 Giants starter pack. I was thinking of giving my extra 'landers to the local dentist, where they have a toy box filled with cheap toys and things, where I'll assume they'll only give Skylanders to the really good kids. I was also thinking of donating them somewhere else or selling them on eBay. Feel free to provide any suggestions on what to do with my extra 'landers I might end up have laying around.

You could wait until the S1 figures are obsolete, then you could sell her.

It really depends on how patient you are. You could sell them, which right now won't get you a whole lot. You could donate them and hope karma pays you back 10 fold. Or if you are an artsy type, paint them and then display or if they are good some people can make a few bucks on ebay from them.

I keep my extra's on display with my other toys and knick-knacks. My boyfriend and I are hoarders/collectors of sorts so we have all sorts of figures/toys displayed in our home. I currently keep the extras in the living room. There is currently Tree-Rex, Cynder, S1 Zook, Flashwing, Warnado, Gill Runt and Scarlet Ninjini. They sit high and mighty with Ezio, Shinku and some of our Lego figures.
The Warnado and Gill-Runt are being given away, I'm not sure what to do with the other guys though. Most likely keep them. . . just in case.

save'em and string them up as xmas ornaments,hang one from you rear view drill a hole and insert a magnet for the fridge.what cant you do with them?

That basically gets done when reposes occur...at that point you can only sell to completionists/collectors...of which I'm betting they are few and far between.

Use them as chess pieces.

Lol--my son plays chess with his friends with them. They have a whole system worked out for which represent specific pieces.

i usaly paint them, wait over one or two years and then sell them, heehheeeee

Unpopular answer, but I sell them on eBay. Make a couple bucks back from the enormous cost of the game. No sense keeping extra repeat figures around when nobody in the house has time to do customs for them, which I guess is what we would do in a perfect world.

Yeah, if I end up with a figure I want or one I already have I sell it. Thanks to a few SKylanders I have $7.50 store credit at Movie Trading Company.

Gotta do what you gotta do. The cash from triple pack spares and such certainly made unnecessary Skylanders like the LightCores an easier pill to swallow for me, I'll say that much.

I have been kind of back and forth on Ebay and selling figures on it. However, what Tashiji does and I have done sometimes is not what I look down upon. If you end up with an extra figure because of a three pack or what has happened to me is my wife and I will buy it and not realize it. I will throw those up on Ebay instead of driving back and wasting my time returning them. What makes me upset on Ebay is when you have people who buy the new figures just to sell on Ebay.

^ Agreed there. And it's not even really that much money for a working adult, considering eBay invoices and shipping/packaging costs.

Same. Most of the extras are going on, so I have enough money to cover the variants I need.

I have been trading away most of our extras for figures that we are missing. Helping someone else complete their collection, and helping us too!

I have 2 step daughters and 3 little cousins that play skylanders. So I either give them away or have tournaments at my place and use them as prizes for the winners.
