Let's say you were in an on and off relationship with someone for 3 years. They constantly hurt you, betrayed you, backstabbed you, left you repeatedly for no good reason, and despite it all, you still stayed with them out of nothing but love. Finally, when things are starting to look up, they randomly message you saying they finally had sex with the person they kept leaving you for.

................"Bye" was all I could say.

Dang Metallo, it sure does look like you're being used by her. Don't you think that MAYBE you should realize it's not going to stop. She keeps playing with your emotions and unfortunately you're falling for it. I would highly suggest that you don't go back to her and find a girl that will treat you right. You know what she did by texting you, she wanted to see how you would react, so your reaction should be, don't take her back!

Exactly.
Erase all the ways you have to contact her. If you see her, pretend she's not there if you can't control your emotions.

If you love someone but know that they aren't doing you any good you should end them. The longer you leave it the harder it will be in the future.
I know it's hard but you have to get rid of them while you can.

Might not feel like it at the time but you will eventually get over them.

Also you don't deserve someone who does things like that.
And don't have sex with them as you'll regret it in the future. They don't love you properly (if they did they wouldn't treat you like that).

Could you contact someone close to her that can keep an eye on her? Maybe family?

The thing is you deserve to be happy. Why should she control you? First of all love is blind but she added stupid to it as well, Whether you leave her now or after the next time she rubs it in your face that she had sex with someone else, don't you think it is time to just leave her? Protect your emotions for once. You can even do this without trying to get revenge, just walk away, whatever she does to herself, oh well, carry on with your life. I do believe that you should forget her and be happy living your life without her. Just completely loose connections with her.

Most unfortunate, but she isn't the only one that made things end up the way they did for you. You'll get over it eventually, having learned much.

Don't hate her for what happened; In the end it doesn't make it any better. But also, don't forget what she did to you. Stay proud and move on.
