It would be better if that watermark wasn't there, it's not like they owned the toys or anything D:

But I'm guessing this is what Ninjini looked like before she was cursed.

There were actually two or three different ones, but it was just a crazy day that we missed recording it. Kind of upset we didn't. My daughter also claims she saw Wash Buckler there, but I didn't see it or get it on film.

It was the earliest Giant they thought of, even before Tree Rex.

And, strangely enough, her.. erm.. top is smaller? Really Activision?

While I do not think we should, as a society, objectify women .... I also think it's silly that people are offended by Ninjini's attire, even if it's only mildly offended.
I mean ... really .... women's bellies? mild cleavage? Please. You can see the same thing (and "worse") by watching a Saturday morning cartoon, Disney animated movie, or magazines in a doctor's office waiting room.

I remember reading somewhere on this forum that a user didn't own any of the Undead element Skylanders because his/her parents disapprove of skulls. I mean, really? REALLY? I'm pretty sure every single one of us has a skull ... what's so bad about a skull?

Same thing here ... every woman has a belly, and most women have breasts. Why should those body parts be considered more or less offensive than feet or ears or elbows? Let it go.

I prefer the one that came out for many reasons. Mainly she looks more "Skylanderish". Secondly, the blue skin and general appearance look more genie like, at least as far as I am concerned. I think making her look more "human" would not look right, considering she is a giant. The figures need to look for fantasy like, particularly when they are supposed to be towering giants.

Her original outfit is no worse than Stealth Elf's, which no one complained about. The only difference is she is bigger so you can see it better, and more human like (in her original form) so I guess to some people that means something. Anyone that is offended by it don't take your kids to pretty much any beach. Their eyes will fall out.

Well I agree that it's lame to be offended by such things as bare midriffs and visible breasts (especially as un-apparent as here). But I live in the real world, and I realize that there are plenty of people who are indeed THAT lame. Especially some over-protective parents.

And I saw the same thing BahamutBreaker did, the kid whose parents wouldn't allow Undead Skylanders because of the skulls, and had the same reaction, that this is a little lame. I also feel bad for the kid, that because of this arbitrary limitation the kid cannot play all parts of the game, cannot hope to achieve 100% completion, etc.

In the end, Activision is targetting these games at kids, and as such has to be careful to be as inoffensive as possible. I actually remember being surprised they actually INCLUDED an Undead element because of this! LOL!

But yeah, a flesh-coloured Ninjini would seem weird. I don't think ANYONE is flesh-coloured, are they? smilie

The Undead element surprised me as well, but these days zombies, vampires and ghosts are a fairly common concept so not really a big deal. The game comes out around Halloween anyways. I just kind of thought they would have used the idea without necessarily calling it "Undead" - maybe the "Spooky" or "Ghost" element or something. Sure some parents get all offended for practically anything, but in the end you want to not alienate potential customers. Uptight people spend money too.

I see so much wrong with this. Though this isn't against you or her, more against society these days.

Back on topic, I would quite like to see a better picture of the "first giant". It seems rather interesting, at least of the arm and sword of it that I can see. In gerenal I am rather fascinated by things that were almost in games.

Our school district encourages that all children have an electronic device to do school work on. If you don't have one, then they are left out to read by themself, while other children are on a tablet, pc, ipod or ipad. Kind of ridiculous, but if you don't have one, your'e somehow the minority.

This is absolutely true. Classrooms these days (at least in middle class areas) use tablet PCs frequently. My son has a Google Nexus 7 for books and school. He has NO games on it AT ALL. He has a 3DS for games, but that absolutely, positively does not go to school. They use it for books (you can check books out of the public library on tablets), for a math web app they use, they use QR codes for assignments, etc. It is really well integrated, his teacher added their school wireless hot spot to it so you do not need a phone contract either. They have a classroom Nook that kids that do not have one can use, but since that is shared you obviously are better off having your own. The Nexus is $199, so it isn't very unreasonable - we just teach him to take care of it.

And the private schools over here almost require you have a MAC laptop. Of course, if you are in private school, you can probably afford it. But I still don't like the thought of a 1st grader transporting an ipad to and from school, but I'd rather not have my child feel left out. They almost force the tablet to be an iPad, most of the curriculum is on iOS devices. So those with androids, still can't even participate in all of it. It's a new program, so I am sure it will develop as it goes on.

I'm personally not getting the "society" comment. Technology changes, and education is trying to adapt to it---I am rather anemic to the social aspects of technology replacing REAL SOCIAL LIFE. I'm more horrified on the politics / socialism aspects of society in general, and of course not going there. I just want us to remain FREE and have INDIVIDUAL thought. Novel concept these days.

LoL, 90% of the people that go on about "socialism" in this country have no clue what it is. All they know is isn't that what one of the "S"s in USSR was for and Russia is bad, so that is bad. It must be just like "communism" (which Russian wasn't either). They sure do love it when it benefits them - Medicare, Social Security, Unemployment, etc... But of course hard workers never have bad things happen to them and need help. And rich people are the hardest workers. If you aren't rich you must be lazy. And free and individual thought is only valid if it is the same individual thoughts I am having. Now that IS novel.

Not saying that is you, but this state sent some nutcases to Raleigh this year. Don't you find it hilarious the way the "real Americans" in this area just love them some Ikea? Sweden is a socialist country, and many of Ikea's corporate policies are born in that tradition. How many NASCAR fans you think are going to be crowding into that store this weekend? I wonder if they realize their money is going to proud supporters of "evil" socialism?

But back on the subject, yeah public school classrooms have been embracing technology. My son knows far more about computers than I did at his age, and that's what I do for a living.
