Amen to you! I even explained that Spyro's original games actually had legitimate problems and that it's nowhere near perfect. Spyro's villains and allies aren't actually as memorable as you'd expect them to be. They even gave the fans Spyro co-op and have him fly and what doe it get, it gets the worst ratings and the franchise dies. So basically the anal fans have killed their own franchise like how transformers fans killed G1 after Optimus died in the film.

Indeed. I might get stoned, but I like Skylanders as much as the original.

I think most of the naysayers have been put to rest, or they've found something else to cry foul about. To be honest, Skylanders has always been tied to Spyro, but I don't think it was ever supposed to erase the original game's legacy.

That's not to say I'd never want to see another regular standalone Spyro game again though. They really should put out a HD remaster like Ocarina of Time.

I really hate the complaints that Skylanders isn't a Spyro game. Compared to Legends, it feels like the creators have DEFINITELY played the original games. Also, it's not the best game ever, but it's still pretty solid in its own right, even if you stick to the three starter figures. But it's even more fun if you buy new figures. Watch out, it can get pricey, though.

Compare Kaos to Ripto. Ripto is kind of just a generic hot-headed villain, where Kaos is quirky, bombastic, and actually likeable. I didn't like him when I first saw him, but when I actually played the game, he immediately grew on me.

I've heard about Enter the Dragonfly's dreaded legacy, but the series picked up a bit more steam after that flop. ...But then again, there's also Shadow Legacy, another flop of theirs. I did like Hero's Tail, though.

I don't think that Skylanders is a Spyro game.

Spyro's Adventure, to an extent... Giants... No.

It is not a complaint. It is a thought. It is the purists who think that is a bad thing complaining because they will never see another Spyro game.

I prefer them to the original three, though. I actually replayed them last year, and I don't really like them much now. I only really enjoyed The Dragon, I only like the other two because of nostalgia.

I only wish they could have used more characters from the Spyro games, after all, the first Skylanders was called Spyro's Adventure. The only characters I recognise are from Spyro games are: Spyro (himself), Cynder and Sparx.

I agree. I wanted to see lots more characters from the original games. Though, I have no hate at all for the Skylanders series.
