Riddle Time with Metallo #2 [CLOSED]

We had a good time last time, now it's time for Round 2.

A man's wife was murdered in the middle of the night. The man called the police and told them to meet him at the scene of the crime. Upon arrival, the police arrested the man and took him into custody. How did they know it was him?

I'm going to take a shot out of the dark and say breathing. Because when you don't think about breathing, your body does it automatically, but when you try to manually do it, you can stop.

An ugly new student. She's the talk of the week when she comes because of her hideousness, but once you get to know her, or get used to her, she is just part of the scenery.

Films, no, but I've read part of the book in English class. Technically the doctor is Frankenstein and the monster has no name. Also, there is no Igor, no castle, no lightning, and no "IT'S ALIVE!!!". The monster is made while Victor is in college in his apartment. The monster is also fully aware and speaks rather fluetly.
