I atually have all but Trigger Snappy. XP Of the first 4, he's the one I like the least, so if I do end up getting a fourth which is likely, I'll probably get a second Whisper Elf for a friend, then Trigger Snappy only if I get another after that.

I've been getting mine from the GameStop promotion in the US where if you spend $20 or more on skylanders you get a sidekick free. S2 Whirlwind and S2 Flameslinger for Whisper Elf, Empire of Ice for Terrabite, and Scarlet Ninjini and Flashwing got me Gill Runt. I still intend to go back and get a S2 Gill Grunt. If they have any other singles I want I'll get another sidekick from that purchase.

Yeah, the biggest gripe with the sidekicks are that they don't do anything. It's kind of a shame because they could do all sorts of stuff- give buffs to the characters like hats, attack similar to Sparx, or let characters enter doors they can't normally (like Trigger Snappy would allow any other element to open the tech doors)

Hopefully they've fixed this in Giants, but I don't believe they have. Maybe we can hope they've been upgraded in Swap Force.

I agree that the sidekicks could do something more than they do, but can also see the issues.

If they opened elemental gates, some people may not buy a tech Skylander because they got a Trigger Snappy. At least from the Acti perspective.

If they caused damage, they would probably have a timer just like Sparx.

My son and I like to just play tag with them. Run around in game and try to get the sidekick to follow you. Or steal it from the other. Adds alot of fun to levels we have already completed.

Woah, what a pyromaniac! Just like my great-great-hfhexwhxudjysgsxwhh, Dingodile IV smilie

The Sidekicks are really cute and make a nice display, and I would be all for them... But they are extremely overpriced for what they do. They're like the collectors' symbol for those who don't buy variants.

They should unlock gates of their Elements, I think it would be a great incentive to buy them in Swap Force since that game will have multi-Element gates. Activision still profits and players that want to spend minimum won't need to worry about making sure they have both Swappable Elements and all eight Swap Skills, it's a win-win.
