OOC: Speckles was talking to Royal and Jaerl, Wyrstel. I'm not sure if you saw my post.


Skaliscin opened her mouth to retort, but shook her head instead, focusing on the unconscious tiger cub. It wasn't hard to tell that she was terribly worried; that would be a surprising fact to those who weren't particularly fond of her.

Chica lifted rose up, onto her back, to bring to her den.

Sybil was relieved. Everyone was far more concerned of Rose than her stubborness over keeping Yodel out of harm. She was still sleepy, but knew that it was gonna be extremely rude and impolite to leave the place, especially with Rose on that state. She then had an idea.

"I know! The herbs on the swamp! Those do wonders. I am gonna get some like I did with... Ivor." she said with some sorrow, remembering how she couldn't give those herbs in time to the humble, husky elephant...

"he is one elephant to remember," Chica said. that reminds me, I haven't seen the elephants in a long time. "do you think you could bring those herbs to my den?" Chica asked

"Be right back." she said, swiftly leaving the place and heading to the swamp. She was still tired, but that was for Rose. Tiredness was her lowest concern...

"hey don't worry, you will be alright" Chica comforted, as she began making her way to her den, at the edge of the lake. She laid rose in her own nest, and settled herself onto the cold stone floors.

Draco crawled to the wetlands, one of the other most common places to see him in, other than the outbacks. He traveled at a slow pace, not knowing the big catastrophe that occurred at the tree

OOC: It's fine.


Skaliscin continued to stay behind the group, silent.

Voracivenom was nowhere to be seen.

Speckles's breathing rasped as he tried to keep up with the two birds of prey.
"Still... it... was... weird... h-... how he ac-... acted!"

Royal gently scoops Speckles off the ground and places him on his shoulder.

Sybil returned with the herbs, but neither Chica nor Rose were there. "Chica? CHICA! Now where is that wolf? I told her to wait here." she complained. until she saw the footsteps and knew where she was now...

Speckles grasped on to Royal's shoulder feathers, panting heavily. Though his face expressed exhaustion, his eyes gave thanks.

"I think Chica took Ros-s-se to her den," Skaliscin stated, confirming Sybil's thoughts.

"I figured, thanks." Sybil quickly replied, heading there. The herbs were delicate, and easily dried off.

OOC: You know... I might just start posting again. If you don't mind, I'm thinking of creating a second character (same species, long lost brother of existing character) to bring Sayan out of wherever he's hiding and perhaps get him more involved. Perhaps I'll have this other leopard come injured and provide Sayan with a purpose (taking care of him and keeping him company). If necessary, I can then have Sayan "disappear" again and just use the later character. Sayan's currently in a somewhat awkward place and I really don't know to do with him. ...Unless anyone else has any suggestions?

OOC: So if you want Sayan to make a comeback, you can say that after he returned and had his collar removed, he was still too traumatized by the experience, so he moved far away from the rest of the animals, needing time to be alone. We can also say that Sybil and the others are already use to Sayan's cryptic nature, and that's why they don't express too much concern about him. Something similar happens with AJ you know.

Chica perked her ears for any signs of the civet. not yet, I hope rose is okay, she pondered while lying on the stone.

The elephant brothers come into view with my across Anvor's back. I am fast asleep on his back but a quiet and satisfied purr can be heard from my form. The other brother smiles and walks with the older one.

Hearing Rose's whining, Sybil managed to pinpoint the location, and was there in a jiffy. "Chica! Why did you move? I told you I was gonna return." she scolded, watching that the herbs were a little dried off, but hoped that the properties remained.

Elsewhere, Sayan was having a rather un-peaceful nap. Though his collar had long since been removed, the psychological effects of his traumatic experience remained. As a result, he felt the need to be alone and found a rather secluded pond deep in the forest. If one were to observe him, he would appear to be experiencing an nightmare... reliving the abusive experience again and again. On the way to the pond, he attempted to cover his tracks so that no-one would interrupt his personal solitude. He wasn't perfect, however, and one could still track him if they tried. There were no birds and no nearby animals; just him and his own thoughts. Still though, he was beginning to feel lonely and knew that he had to face the other inhabitants eventually...

"I guess we both misunderstood each other" Chica said, recalling what she said and what Sybil said. "do you think you can bring them to my den" and "I will be right back" said by sybil. When said, to Chica, they seem to clash with meanings. "look, at least rose is still alive, the herbs are here and so are you," the Mexican wolf muttered, keeping to the positive side

With the herbs arrival, Sybil inspected then, and they looked pretty dry. "Oh drat, these herbs don't last long once you pick them. But I think they still work. If not, you know where to pick them right?"she asked, but then changed her mind. "Oh never mind what I said. I don't want anyone near that swamp. The muddy waters are too dangerous." she pointed out.

Anvor rests for a moment with me still asleep on his back. Meanwhile Jaerl turns to his father and whispers something to him. Royal nods and briefly embraces his son before Jaerl takes off into the forest. He soon finds Sayan and lands on the ground beside him.

"Hello Sayan, I'm Jaerl," I say offering my wing for him to shake.

Sayan wakes up suddenly and jumps back in surprise. He looks at Jaerl for a moment with a look of fear, though that quickly changes once he realises that it's just one of the inhabitants. He shakes the wing, "You must be Royal's son..." He was still unsure about the falcon, but trusted Jaerl's father. "What are you doing here?," he asked with a slightly nervous tone.

Before Chica could give the herbs to Rose, Sybil decided to taste it first. The flavor was awful "Ugh yuck! This is disgusting... I wonder if they work even on this state..." she said, a little ashamed for not knowing that information.

Jaerl shrugs.

"Just being a good friend is all," he says smiling.

Chica shoved the herbs to rose. "take these, they should make you better," she said.

Sayan quickly glances at his surroundings, seeming reassured that there was no-one else. He looks back at Jaerl, "I see." He half suspected that Royal sent him. "It's nice to meet you, Jaerl. I will admit, it's nice to talk to someone after all this..." He again looks at his surroundings; the peaceful tranquil pond filled with fish, the thick trees hiding this place from most inhabitants, and the lack of birds and others animals. "...solitude.," he finishes.

OOC: I won't be able to post 5/17-5/20. I'll have my characters go into "sleep mode" until then.


Speckles watched with mild interest when Jaerl took off. His breaths kept him from hearing the whisper Royal made to his foster son, so he remained oblivious. The velvet worm, before he thought about what he was doing, climbed up to the eagle's neck and snuggled into his soft down feathers. He was much too tired to think straight.

Skaliscin silently followed Sybil to Chica's den, but stayed outside, watching. She knew she wasn't needed at the moment, but her concern for the injured tiger cub kept her near. Finally, she decided to coil up around a dead bush. She thought to herself until she drifted into a light slumber. If one were to notice her, she would appear to be a tightly wound up vine around the brush's dry twigs.

"after a few days you should feel better" Chica said to rose. "you can sleep here for now." the wolf turned to Sybil, "thankyou Sybil, for the herbs" she said. She also felt like adding, for everything, but her slightly proud self kept her from it. "but I have a question."

Royal slowly steps toward Chica's den with me leaning heavily against him. My eyes glisten brightly in the sunlight, but my breathing and pain are the same as when Chica visited me last. I have learned about what happened and being the gentle and compassionate person I am want to be there for Rose. I know that I will not be fully healed for a long, long time, but the least I can do is be there for another and support them as much as I can. Royal taps the wood with his talon and waits supporting me.

Chica looked to the entrance of her den when royal taps it, and sees aerigil leaning on him. "aregil!" she jogged to the eagle and the margay. "anything wrong, or..." Chica trailed off, "heard the news?"

Royal knowing how much pain I am in speaks for me.

"Aeriji's not well at all his body has been alternately from freezing to burning up for several hours now on top of all his pain. Aeriji says that can wait for later. Right now she wants to be here for Rose, keeping her company and supporting her where he can. As you know he may be shy and small as well as badly hurt but he always puts others over himself. He may be small in size but he has the biggest heart of anyone here."

Without anyone knowing, Sybil was out of view. After giving the herbs to Rose, she headed to the beach once more, and gazed at the ocean once more. She was lost in thought, as she would be seen usually. It was obvious something was upsetting her.

Chica turned sound to look at Sybil, but to see that she was nowhere to be seen. where did she go? Chica wondered. Se focused back on aregil "I'm happy that you care for all of us, come in"

I move so Rose is laying her head against against my soft fur and snuggle against her smiling. I sleep peacefully for a while but then my body begins to shiver like when Royal first found me. Cold sweat falls down my entire body as a terrible fever rages within me.

OOC: Back.


Skaliscin had awoken from her light sleep by additional voices. She watched as Royal and Aeriji entered the cave to comfort Rose. The serpent snickered when she noticed Speckles curled up in Royal's neck feathers, fast asleep.

Near Jaerl and Sayan, a rustling was heard in the underbrush, followed by a flash of vermilion scales.

A young orca noticed Sybil, and already knew what was the deal. "Again? Sybil, why do you do this? If there is someone of your own kind, wait for him to appear. It doesn't do you any good just waiting here." the young one commented. He may be young, but his wisdom exceeded much adults.

Jaerl hears the rustle and gets ready to fight if he must. His eyes watch the underbrush closely not even blinking. His talons glisten in the light.

Meanwhile back at the tree Royal hears Skaliscin snicker and just smiles. He's happy to give Speckles a comfortable place to sleep whenever he needs to. Besides its nice to know that he helps the little guy relax when he is stressed.
