Hey yalls. So today I've been working tons with GIMP, and I wish to find more art programs that are free to work with. Can someone help me find some great ones? Thanks!

^Wouldn't have a clue. Never used it myself, just seen other people on tumblr who have. People said it was like a mix between Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai?

Mmkay, looks like I'll be trying Firealpaca and Coral Painter. Just as long as they are safe, are they?

Well I never use gimp for art unless it's feral heart map making. But, before that I used Paint.net. And see if you can get a free copy of paint tool SAI.

Inkscape is the free equivalent of illustrator.

may have been a graphics card issue. of course gimp isn't too powerful.

Yeah, there's Inkscape.
Paint.Net
OpenCanvas ( You can create servers and collaborative with others using it. Powerful little application )
MyPaint (better if you have a tablet)
Among others

I'll also be trying Inkscape then.

I wanna know this too...

I mean, I have used Gimp on my computer before, an old Windows XP Dell Dimension E310. Other than it runs slowly (and by that I mean I get a lag spike occasionally, but that's just because it's an old computer), it never killed my computer.

And Paint Tool Sai is good, but yeah it's just not free.

Well, here's what happened:

My father installed GIMP and the windows opened. I looked at them for a few minutes, I wasn't doing anything with them, just looking. I decided to go on darkSpyro, so I left the tabs open fro GIMP and so on. All of the sudden something popped up and asked if I wanted to save my progress on the GIMP window. Before I could do anything, it shut down. It turned on a couple minutes later and it said it was fixing itself, but then the screen froze for about an hour, and the computer just died. It hasn't been on since. It just won't turn on anymore.

So I did download Inkscape. I'm glad to have it.
