I think that Scarlet and Polar not being store exclusives makes good sense. At this point, the game is seven months old and the stores that do exclusives the most (Target, Walmart and TRU) have all has several now. It is probably hard to wring more money out for a seven month old game from stores at this point, so they put them out to all stores in a limited run.

I've been thinking scarlet and polar have been held so far to get ppl into stores for a 7-month old game. unlike most of us on here, some ppl got the game say launch day in oct or xmas, played for awhile quit. came back maybe for ninjini, break again. Having polar/scarlet hit in may/june might get ppl back to stores and heck it may drive sales. Kid wants scarlet, cant find parent gets s2 drobot etc. Just an example.

Maybe. I still think they would do it exclusive to a store. While this game is seven months old, I think someone would pony up the cash to get them exclusive as it would still create a lot of foot traffic. Keep in mind they had this planned out long ago on where the figures would go.

I always thougth TRU would get scarlet or maybe target cause of the NYC event / or cause target is red colored. I figured gamestop or bestbuy would get polar. Oh well, I got two on order from italy. That means i need to find 3 others when they hit the states and 5 scarlets all for family, friends and x2 for me (boxed and unboxed). Should be fun, i miss the hunt

I also kind of miss the hunt of going and finding these in stores. Although sometimes you just want to have them and it is way easier to just order them pay the premium and have them in the mail in a week or two.

My work schedule is changing next week to a more favorable one to hunting for landers in stores. Get off at 8 in the evening when the wal-marts are putting stock away around here.

I don't want the thrill of the hunt, I just want the figures :P
Thankfully, it seems one of the family will be going back in May, and will pick me up a 3DS. Hopefully, a Scarlet as well.
I guess it makes sense, Scarlet and Polar are currently among the most sought-after, so releasing them to all stores gives everyone a chance and no store can complain as all will have boosted business.

(To simplify, I'll refer to Lesty as "he". This is my admittance that Lesty could be he or she, but I don't want to say "he/she" every time)

Why is it ridculous? Just go to Target May 18th and you'll have a good chance at getting one. I think she'll be in lower volumes than Jade Flashwing for sure....but still..she should be found unless you act fast. That's all.

As you can see, previously Lesty had referred to mid-May, now he suddenly had a date, like we've known this all along. This sounded weird, so I asked for backup, and as previously mentioned I was ignored. I've been assuming, and still do, that Lesty isn't so stupid as to give information that would jeopardize his job, and of course I wouldn't ask him to cross that line. But with a specific date, it would seem like there would be SOMETHING he could share, a press release, a store flyer one store or another is sharing online, something. (On that thread someone jumped to the conclusion that I was asking for information that would jeopardize Lesty's job, but I was just asking for something publicly available).

Combine this mystery with the news that seems absolutely impossible: That Scarlet will be the first variant that isn't exclusive (or in a bundle). As ItsJustMe points out, exclusives are worth money, they have value. Why pass it by? Activision has been making many decisions which seems financially motivated, passing by this exclusive would be uncharacteristic. Also it seems well established that Lesty works for Target, probably not in a store but in corporate. How does he know other stores are getting Scarlini then? Having Target info is one thing, but having info about other stores?

I know Lesty has in the past provided good information. I heard all about it, though I didn't experience it myself. It's this unexclusivity that keeps me firmly doubtful. To me, the fact that she was already an Amazon exclusive makes it logical to me that they'll just extend that exclusive to the Amazon worldwide. They have an exclusive with Amazon, it seems likely they would just extend it.

To be clear, I'm not assuming Lesty is lying, I figure this is the information as he knows it. I've just grown suspicious as to how good his source is, that maybe he's gotten wrong information.

Again, grain of salt. The info is out, we'll see if it turns out to be right.

Looks like payment was just taken from amazon.it for mine and the status has changed to preparing to ship. For 2 it came to $36 exactly.

Payment deducted here too, and order is listed as being "in shipment." $18.50 for the one. That's really not that bad, considering that if it were shipping from a US distributor it would still average out to about $15. I'm still 100% confident that a US release is forthcoming, but just like with Scarjini, it was a matter of importing being easier and more reasonable than waiting around.

I think I'll wait on Polar's US release. 19$ for a s2 variant is a bit much.

The way I figure, it's $10 for the variant, and $8.50 not to have to go looking for it. Fair price to me, but your mileage may vary.

Hunting was half the fun when we didn't have a big collection. We could go and always leave with something in hand. Now that we're hunting for just specific ones, purchasing stuff online to save time has been the way to go for my son and I. I'm still on the fence with Polar from .it - I just got a feeling they will release her soon in the US. I guess my hesitation too stems from the fact my son and I have so many figures to level up so "idle hands" will not be an issue if she doesn't arrive in the near future.

I think I am going to order her this weekend when if she is still in stock. I ordered scarlet yesterday and should have her in hand on Wednesday!

My payment didn't go out yet, but that makes sense... I also ordered Lightcore Pop Fizz while I was at it - I've enjoyed Punchy so I decided I wanted another - and he's only becoming available April 30. And I picked the "Fewer packages, lower cost" option, so Polar is waiting for Pop Fizz.

I got my shipment confirmation today! Yes!!

So ... I decided to give European Amazon a 2nd chance. Fingers crossed. Now that Polar Whirlwind is no longer a "pre-order", but is actually in-stock now at Amazon.it, I placed an order.
In case anyone is wondering, the price for 2 Polar Whirlwind was 27.5 Euros, which converts to roughly $36 USD.
And it appears that Amazon.it is limiting the quantity to 2 Polar Whirlwind per order. I tried bumping up the quantity to see if discounted shipping would be offered for higher quantities ... but received an error message stating that the max quantity (at least for now?) is 2.

go to the regular amazon.com and to your account and do all the info that way first along with your payment method. log out of that one and use google chrome and log into amazon.it. use the translations so you will get the option to select your address and it should look before translating on that page with the italian words for united states or whereever else you live. All the pages you go through are no different than the normal amazon if you used it. Then it will take you through the shipping speed, most of the time it will be standard and then the final page, use translate if needed to purchase the product with the amazon currency converter on. Usually it will ask you if its the first time ordering with a different currency and you'll be all set

Hmm--I'll try again. But I was following along with English version of amazon. The problem was that it wasn't shipping to US--but clearly they do because others aren't having problem--
I didn't have any problems when I ordered scarlet at amazon.de.

I'm getting 2 for that price, that's still if you factor in close to retail if you slice it whichever way. I get that--I include shipping into my "total cost of ownership"...my point being---if Polar is showing up here--why pay the EUR 11 for shipping and the extra 30% for each figure (because of the weak dollar)....

How I see it I paid approx 12 for each figure and 12 for shipping. It came to about 36 bucks total. Yep...I get it...been on the fence with Scarlet and the LCs...finally ordered JUST ONE so the kids and I can play...I'll resort to "hunting" for my boxed collection here. I haven't ordered Polar yet and am on the brink of doing so just so we can have our "play" copy done... I totally get having to pay a slight delta for the variants as they are more limited...I've done my fair share of driving to stores to know it's sometimes good to rip off the bandaid and just get it done.

Ya part of the reason i ordered my polar and scarlet is just to finally have them to play. i still plan to hunt for them when they come out in America.

Ordered both Scarlet and Polar, finally broke down and bought a Granite off of ebay.

We live in a fairly rural area where its a half hour to even the nearest walmart, we have a pretty busy weekday schedule between my wife and I and my boy's after school activities.
So buying them online was alot easier and maybe cheaper than trying to hunt them.
The closest Target has still been getting Granites, but even when I get there on days they come in, theyre gone before I can get there. So today I buckled and spent way more than I would have liked.
The kid is really gonna have to earn him.

Last week I placed a pre-order for Polar Whirlwind, and it suggested a "Buy this with" with Lightcore Pop Fizz, from Amazon.it. Polar is due like tomorrow, Pop Fizz in a couple of days. Just found out that after I went through a LOT of trouble to change the default "1" to ordering "2" of each (one of each for me, one of each for my nephews for their birthday this weekend, which is why they're due so soon, I picked the fastest shipping), that during the Checkout process it changed them both back to ONE! If I'm not allowed to change them, why am I able to? I made SURE the totals changed. I'm so pissed!

Now I tried to place another order to replace the items they removed, and suddenly Pop Fizz is triggering a "We can't send to this address" error! Last time I heard about this, it was because the person needed to set the country properly. They did it on an English Amazon, presto. Mine was already set properly, I tried adjusting every part of my address, even picking spellings that would force Amazon to ask me to confirm, it's still not working! Grrrrrr...

On a more positive note, I checked around to figure out how to "Contact Amazon", when I got to the form one section had something like a "Be more specific", which was a drop-down list, and one of the items was "Email us in English", listed in English! Yay! I couldn't easily translate the items without meticulously typing each out, so I was glad that was in there. The proceeding form was still in Italian, but I feel more confident that it will get to somebody who can understand English.

I tried just ordering from Amazon.de, since I've had proven success, but I can't find a proper listing for Lightcore Pop Fizz (just one offering "From THESE sellers"), and the price of Polar is WAY higher.

Sorry for the rant, I just needed to unload my troubles to people who can relate and sympathize, LOL!

Heh, got two emails from Amazon.it. The first was in response to my help ticket, and the whole email was in English (YAY!), good English too! Explaining that they had gone out of stock on LC Pop Fizz, so it defaulted to some idiot reseller, who doesn't do international (well, duh, why do you think I'm trying to order from the Amazon listing itself?). They suggested to check this on the page, and indeed the reseller was listed on the side as "Available from these resellers". However, they must have since gotten back in stock, because the main listing listed fine (again, I swear it was fine yesterday, must have sold the last while I was completing my order). I had to delete LC Pop Fizz, because the order was stuck on the reseller, but I re-added him and it all went fine after that (though for some dumb reason, since I recently "changed" my address, I had to go fetch my credit card to re-enter the number to confirm. What's the point of having them save the number if I have to re-enter it anyway? Ugh. Please don't explain, I understand why, it just feels stupid).

The second email was "We didn't ship Lightcore Pop Fizz. Sorry. He'll be sent later". Ugh. Good thing my visit to give these to my nephews was bumped to next weekend, I don't want to be giving them an IOU! And luckily to speed things along they sent Polar on ahead, should be receiving any day now. Hey, maybe today, I should probably check for a delivery attempt notification, LOL!

The funny thing is that now both orders have the same ship date, May 6, LOL! (LOL #2, that's their actual birthday)

Mine came today! The estimated delivery was May 4th and it arrived on the 6th, that's alot better than the wait for scarlet ninjini.

Both of mine came today too as it had the same estimate of the 4th but made sense for it to come today. They are beautiful and it was well worth the money to obtain her now.

Between today and next Monday was the delivery window. Came the first day it was technically "supposed to."

Still waiting for my Polar Whirlwind, i guess it takes awhile to deliver to canada vancouver

I got mine today and was able to track it too. You can track it through I-parcel and then UPS. It was packaged real well. Kids were happy, one for each of them.

Weird, my delayed shipment LC Pop Fizz was supposed to only be SHIPPED today, and it arrived today! This thread reminded me to check, and he was sitting there waiting outside my door! Yay! Since I got the email saying so mid-week last week, I'm guessing they picked the 6th as a "safe bet", but they got him in stock earlier and threw him in the mail earlier. So now I have Polar and LC Pop Fizz, and can't try either as they're going to my nephews next weekend, LOL! Still have to wait for my "copies".

For statistical/informational purposes, I pre-ordered both, with Polar's release date being April 26 and LC Pop Fizz's being April 30th. I'm in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Chose the fastest shipping method so I'd have them before this weekend (as in, the weekend which ended yesterday, grrrrr!) to give to my nephews for their birthday, which was today. Luckily to avoid the chaos of a birthday party yesterday, our visit was postponed to next week. Hopefully I'll get my overdue Scarlini by then, and my gift will be complete.
