Could the accounts that have been unactive for more than a year be closed/Ripto'd, so new users could use their usernames? This just occurred to me when I remembered I was going to call myself Spyro and that name was taken by somebody not even active. And my friend tried to make an account with a name that had been taken, but the account hasn't been used for ages. Also, the birthday list is all clogged up with unactive users. Don't bother if it's too much trouble Dark.

I know some forums do this, it's a "spring cleaning" of sorts where once a year inactive accounts are deactivated. I know that moving servers caused some of the data of all the old, inactive accounts to disappear (like "last post" and "last visit"). My only concern with this is that sometimes you may be incapacitated even though you want to go on. I went to a boarding school without internet access for 16 months. So in your scenario, my account would be deactivated, when it's out of my control.

A year is too soon to be doing such a thing, tbh. I have a friend who was unable to log on for nearly a year (or maybe an actual year, dunno) due to complicated circumstances.

That said, while I can understand the desire for something like this, there are too many other things to consider.

I like this idea. Some accounts dont post at all anymore and dont notify dark about them not coming back on.

'Nearly' can mean a lot of things. It could also mean I'm simply saying it was awhile. But my point still stands. :/

Or, Dark could email them with a warning and they could email back saying if they want their account closed?

I think at least all ripto accounts should be deleted.

Well, as it stands, Ripto accounts don't actually appear on the list of users. You can't find them unless you find a post a Ripto'd account made and click their name. <.<;

They're still around. Nothing happens to them.

This is a pretty good idea because there are over 10,000 users and only about 500 of them post. And only about 50 in the S&N section.

Pfft, I don't even really post in the Spyro sections anymore. (This doesn't exactly relate...)

Heck, I'm pretty sure the only people that actually look in Site Help & Suggestions are people who don't spend most of their time in the Skylanders board. <.>

But you go outside the Skylanders boards. I'd say a huge batch of members don't. Or if they do, they only go to the General or Fandom boards. <.<;

Simple Solution. 2 Years Inactive, you get the boot. I mean 2 Years is a LONG time. If not then 3 years, because I agree with JStar in saying that we really need to get rid of some completely unnecessary inactive accounts.

Yeah, I think it could work. Since we have mods, you could have 1 or more of them go through and start shutting down old accounts, especially since most of the old topics are gone anyway. <.<;

Right, well, I'll give a to-do list to Dark.

1. Do something about Kappa
   
2.Explain why he hasn't done anything about Kappa
3. Go through Help and Suggestions
4. Post his agreement/disagreement in H&S

Well, then him/her could tell Dark before they leave.
