I can only get one. I'm trying to decide by priority of rarity. I get paid on the last day of the month and don't know if one or all of them will still be around for these prices. None of them are free shipping (I've heard nightmares on that count) and all are apparently in mint packaging. I'm looking at (evil) Ebay but Europe only, not America - I don't want to possibly get stung by customs. Amazon UK seems to be much more expensive. My choices are;

Molten Hot Dog - around £17 (I missed it as ASDA for £8 which I'm kinda bitter about but then how else am I going to get it)
Jade Flashwing - around £22 (Target exclusive so I don't think it'll come to the UK? Oddly enough from a UK seller)
Polar Whirlwind - around £30 (Which I begrudge because the sellers are all from Germany/Denmark and they seem to have a lot of them and are selling them off to us UK folk who can't get it any other way, grrr)

I'm in the UK - specifically England if it matters - so availability info would be great too if you have it (in other words, I don't want to pay too much over what I have to to get it if someone comes in all "oh apparently Polar Whirlwind is coming to the UK" or something, haha). I don't think I'll be opening them, considering how expensive they seem to be to get hold of, so I won't be playing with them.

I would Polar. Only because I can not get her yet. Otherwise I Would personally go with Jade Flashwing. I like her better than Hot Dog.

You can still play without opening, the RFID chip should read through the package.

1 Jade = Because it is a Traget Exclusive and we know how they handle the exclusives
2 Polar = It has not hit everywhere yet, so you still have a chance to get it.
3 Molten = Its a Walmart exclusive and should be easier to get then the others

Get molten as he wont be availiable again in the UK. Wait for the other two as there is still chance they might be released here.

Jadewing is the best looking and playing in my opinion.
However, i say choice 4, Scarlet Ninjini. She's statistically the best, in-demand, and pretty sweet looking.
Also, Polar just became available for pre-order on Amazon.it

As doomslicer just stated polar is retail pre order on amazon.it and you can find the other two variants there as well for the same price. Seeing as how you are much closer to there than me as I am in the US, you'd probably be able to score jade and polar closer to retail.

Molten on there is far above retail sadly.

Since your in England, I'd recommend Molten Hot Dog. If you missed him, then £17 isn't as bad a price as it can reach.

At the OP, if I were you I would choose the one that you like the most!

And if you have any doubts that you'll later regret not getting the other two when you had the opportunity, then just buy all 3 now. You can always leave 2 in the box in a cabinet out of reach from children for now, and if you end-up deciding in a month or two that you didn't really want them after all, sell them. The market for them will still be strong then.

Doomslicer & tigerdr - thank you so much! That has enabled me to be able to get all three - I've pre-ordered both Jade Flashwing and Polar Whirlwind for 10 euros each and only 7 euros for shipping, not half bad for two that I thought were going to be ridiculous to get hold of!

And to Doomslicer; I'm still looking to get hold of the normal Ninjini right now, apparently she's out here at the end of April but who knows. So she's rare right now; the Scarlet one seems even rarer.

I also bought Molten Hot Dog from Ebay because that was the one I figured wouldn't be coming back to the UK via Ash64's advice. I couldn't do £25 per figure but this way is much better, haha.

I'm not buying Scarlet or Polar until they grace our native soil. If they want to take their sweet time, great...if they think I'm sweating it...I'm not. If anything I'm getting irritated as the weeks become months.

I would go with Polar Whirlwind, she is a beautiful figure. I too am in the UK and managed to get her on ebay for £16.99 The deals are there, you just need to search for them!

Raw skylanders sell BETTER than boxed ones. No lie. (not inc chase)

Ok... good to know I have red drilly and pirate seas and two of the Forgotten.
Also, Scarlet's the rarest of the rare and best of the best. If you want something that'll be worth something down the line, get her.

Hmmm maybe I should look for another boxed Whammy if this is the case, I noticed certain Raw Skylanders do sell for a nice penny.

To the OP, Polar would be my suggestion, followed by Jade, then Molten. Rationality tells me that she might be the rarer of the 3. However Jade seems to be slowly making her way up the latter as well. In time all 3 will be a beautiful memory of how it was to find that one variation of a Skylander.

Whichever you choose, good luck. I personally like the paint job on Polar, then Molten, followed by Jade. In game is the same. Polar looks just as good as her paint job. Cheers

Edit: you got all 3! Congrats, skim reading took me. And you got them for a decent price which is also a plus. Now you can tell us you preference if you really only had one to choose which would it be.

Good to know, though looking at amazon prices, .92 for a loose cynder, i got fooled.
Also, in case you haven't figured it out, I'm obsessed with acquiring Scarlet, but with no credit card or stores that sell Skylanders (at close to retail prices anyway) anywhere within the country, it's not easy.

Yes ... frankly, it's hard to explain, but if one excludes the "chase" variant ultra-rare figurines, Skylanders tend to sell better as open-box "loose" or "raw" goods on the secondary market (i.e. Ebay, etc.)

I've been trying to understand this phenomenon, but at this point, I don't have a solid clue as to why Ebay buyers tend to favor the used Skylanders for sale, rather than the new/boxed ones.

So, yeah, unless you're planning to return the boxed Skylander to the retail store where you purchased it originally, don't worry about opening-up your boxes on the commonplace characters; it's all good.

Well thanks to this thread I got Polar Whirlwind last night from Amazon.it... But Jade Flashwing was out of stock.

Anyway, for some reason I checked my order on the site this morning (even though I already had the confirmation email) and noticed that Jade was in stock! "Disponibilità: solo 1"

So I did end up paying a bit extra for postage but as I got Legendary Stealth Elf as well for €10, each one will work out about £12.50 including shipping, which seems fairly reasonable.

A similar thing happened to me with Molten Hot Dog, which was out of stock on Asda.com, but I had the tab open, reloaded on a Monday morning and there it was. It went back out of stock after I bought it so maybe I got the last one of those? It seems I have had a bit of luck with the variants but I guess the lesson is, keep checking!

Unfortunately my connection must be slow, when I went to add her to the cart and check out, several times when she was at retail $14.99, I got a message saying the item is no longer available from the seller you selected.

OH GOOD HEAVENS WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THE NAME "POLARWIND!"
Anyway, good job. I've had to switch sources like 5 times for Jadewing, and it seems I won't be getting her any time soon. I'll likely just save my money and get (guess which variant who I've clearly shown to be obsessed with, with Jadewing being a close second due to my like of jaden things).
