I have been playing this free app for a while, and it's fun and addicting.

Mino Monsters is like a rip off of Pokemon, but the animation is fluid and pretty neat. You battle these Grublings that have taken over the islands and sealed the Guardian Minos, and it's up to you to stop them and catch, collect and train Minos along the way. It's available for free on the iPhone, iPad and iOS so far.

They added a new updated, with the Arena Island multiplater PvP arenas.

Back when you had to pay for it you could explore paths.

I decided to look up some game apps for my iPhone 4 that might interest me. MinoMonsters was one of them.

This game looks interesting. So it's free, and it's gameplay is like pokemon right?

Yep, it's free, but there are in-game app purchases. And it's like Pokemon (evolving, getting new powers...).

No word on an android version, but they mentioned that there hoping to make one in the near future.

This is the only reason for me to get an iPhone or an Ipad. Sure it may be an American rip-off of Pokemon, but gosh darn it the designs are really interesting and I have fallen in love with the battle music. Very pirate/ambush-y.

I picked the fire one, but I don't like that it needs to download every single thing that wasn't in the App File.

Apparently there's a ton of updates being inserted into the game.

They posted concept art of Embur, Fireline's pre-evolution in the upcoming update. They recently submitted the update to Apple, which may take up 3 to 14 days to put up...

Oh, MinoMonsters. I started playing this with my sister a few days ago.. It's a fun game, though I haven't gotten very far yet. I'll post my FC later and add you guys. ^.^

There aren't silly purchases like "if you wanna battle more today, pay this amount of money", is there? I hate apps that do that kinda thing. You can play it easily without having to pay any money, right?

Yeah, there's no 'paying for more battles' thing in this game. :3

Also, are there any "legendary"-ish Mino's? That deer toward the end of that gameplay video looked like a possible one.

Yeah, there are currently two Legendary Minos, the Water and the Earth one. The Fire Legendary Mino won't be in the next update, but possibly the one afterwards.

That's pretty cool.
I'd be playing it right now, but my grandmothers phone is charging, and I have an old type of phone. I'll deffinately be playing it once her phone is fully charged though.
