They had a TON of new stock at my local BJ's this week. None of the hot giants...but all kinds of the regular skylanders Giants characters.

There were quite a few Slam Bams there and the stock guy told me he just put them out (I was looking for Wrecking Ball...No go on he or Spyro...but most of all the rest of the Giants singles...You name it and I probably I saw it). Don't pay the Ebay premium if you are looking for Slammy. Looks like he's back open for business. Zook single was another one stocked aplenty. Fright rider too...etc etc.

That's cool. I'm curious for those who know the box stock if this is something someone can confirm. They might have simply found some stock in the back and just put them out.

BTW, my Target had ZERO Jade Flashwings at 2pm on Sunday... and most of their stock was decimated. They do have the starter pack for 39.99 which is by far the BEST price I've seen since the game has been out.

Best Buy has skylanders for 7.99 and I scored another Spyro/Wrecking Ball there today...starter packs were 54.99 which was the Amazon price a few weeks ago.

My TRU had no legendaries of any kind but I scored a few of the old SSA guys I wanted to stock up on.

Seeking S1 Boomer and Zap in single packs and more adventure packs. Where can I score a 3DS Skylanders SSA and SG game the cheapest?

My local KMart was selling all SSA starters for $39.99 a few days ago. Unfortunately, they didn't have the 3DS available...

I usually don't think of K-mart (stock is usually not good), but will now...thanks!

You could be right about it being in the back rather than new...However, if it was...Their inventory system is absolutely terrible because we're talking they had about 300 characters between two shelves about 6 foot wide each and all the way back. It was wild...The guy came to me cuz I was sifting through them looking for Wrecking Ball (IE: HEY...I just made that shelf all nice and you're just botching my clean frontage sifting all of them to the back...so he was trying to head me off at the pass before it looked like a tornado came through and ask me what I was looking for since he was just working with it...LOL)

I should have taken a picture of it. It was impressive.

I was just at my local BJ's Saturday morning, and they had the same paltry gradually diminishing leftover stock of Skylanders that remain there since Christmas 2012.

I suppose stocking toys isn't exactly a priority for BJ's most of the time, so it's totally possible that any new stock simply hadn't been put out yet at my location.

Nonetheless, just as a curiousity, Skylanders Dad, where is your location?

Local Bj's here I checked 4 of them. 1 had a slam bam and zook last week i got. Others had wave 1 and 2, nothing new. All on sale thou.

Just wanted to follow-up on this thread.

I was at a BJ's location today, and they are currently running a GREAT deal on Skylanders series 2 single packs!

The regular price for these @ BJ's is $8.99 ... but right now there is a promotion where you get a $4.00 "instant rebate" for each Skylander at checkout. Depending on the sales tax in your state, that means each character cost less than $6.00!!

This is even better than the promotion that Target ran the past two weeks (Buy 2, Get 1 Free @ $9.99 each). BJ's definitely has Series 2 Zook, Ignitor, Pop Fizz, Chill, Fright Rider, Stealth Elf, Terrafin, and Prism Break available at this price right now, although supply will undoubtedly vary by specific location. I didn't see any Bash or Slam Bam, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few of those mixed-in at a few BJ's locations.

Did you see any Bash single packs?

Yeah, I find it odd that BJ's doesn't expand into more places. They do huge amounts of business anywhere that I've ever seen one. You really can't go wrong with a business named "BJ's", after all, right?

I just checked my BJs, I Bucks county, Pa, and they have a ton there. Slam bam, zook, ignitor, terrafin, fright rider, chill, pop fizz, trigger happy, and a few others, all on sale. They also had giants, lightcore, and triple packs.

Was shopping at BJS this morning and they are still dwindling in skylanders stock. Nothing but same stuff for a couple months.

When I went there, it was well on being cleaned out. I got a spare Whirlwind, Chill, Trigger Happy, Pop Fizz and Fright Rider...did get the Ignitor/Chill/Zook 3 pack which I'm finding is getting elusive. Chill had the red lips so at least I got the "variant" lol.

No love for Chill or Whirlwind...always available and always in abundance.

^ When I left BJ's this afternoon around 2:00 PM they still had Ignitor, Terrafin, and Zook. I'm sure news of their $4 off promo has spread and people maybe finally got to the store on Friday afternoon/early evening (maybe was payday for many folks? not sure).

I'm taking what I bought at TRU on Tue and hopefully replacing with some others I need or getting my money back. Kinda fun to walk out for 8 Giants S2 skylanders for less than $50.

I don't blame you one bit. It makes you wonder what retailers pay to acquire Skylanders to stock their shelves. I suppose it's possible that BJ's could be willing to take a loss in order to clear their Skylanders off the shelves ... but I suspect that even at $4.99 each, BJ's was still making some trivial amount of profit. I don't mind paying $9.99 at the larger retailers. After all, they have employees to pay and their marketing and advertising costs greatly exceed what BJ's spends on that stuff, I'm sure. However, it does let me know that specific retailers (*cough* Toys R Us and Walgreens *cough*) are really sticking it to the consumer by charging $10.99 or $11.99 per Skylander. If Toys R Us did a better job of keeping their shelves stocked with the "hottest" Skylanders, then I would overlook their higher-than-normal pricing ... however, in my experience at least, that simply isn't the case. Other than the famous Wednesday morning Ninjini release last month, Toys R Us seems to be the worst of the major retailers (in my opinion/experience) when it comes to maintaining stock/variety. I realize that Toys R Us has more than "one fish to fry" since they need to ensure stock on a very wide array of toys ... but every time I visit a TRU, I leave thinking that they really need someone more knowledgeable stocking their Skylanders. They need to (like Amazon) get some serious markdowns/giveaways going on the characters they have way too many of (Stump Smash, Whirlwind, Cynder, Flashwing, Swarm, Shroomboom, etc.) and get those shelves filled with more desirable characters. I realize that supply is part of the issue ... but I think incompetence is a bigger part of the issue.

I agree. My Best Buy technically carries more variety of stock on a more consistent basis than my TRU...and they charge a buck less (if you have to do retail). I will admit though that most of them goes through peaks and valleys but it seems TRU has more valleys than peaks. I've been there once a week for about two months now, and have only seen legendaries there once...and when they were there...they were sold out in just a couple of days. And that's stock that you'd EXPECT them to ALWAYS carry.
