So I found out recently that EB/Gamestop actually does trade in's on Skylanders for in store credit. While we were at the mall today I decided to pop into EB and look at Skylanders.
Everything they had on the shelf were figures we had, so I asked to see their trade ins. Man oh man did I hit gold! There were a lot of green bases and I even got most of the Pirate Sea's Adventure Pack (minus the Ghost Pirate Swords).
Since I collect them to play (and all of my Skylanders do come out of the packaging) I had no problem that they were all open, but it just made me wonder if anyone had found good deals in the trade-in boxes? Or if they even knew about them?

Oh! And they don't put them on display, you'll hafta ask an employee to see them.

My only question was if you saw any used orange bases there?

Last i knew they used to take them for trade in but stopped. This would explain why they still had them in the back.

They did. All of them were pieces we already owned, but they did have them.
I specifically remember they had Swarm and ShroomBoom.

Interesting... I know they did this for S:SA and was told from my local store they stopped. But didn't know it started again. I wonder if we can find the pricing sheet like was posted somewhere on here before.

So, do you mind asking how much? I'm tired of trolling eBay for a decent set, and if the price is nice I'll stop buy and see if they have a set in person.

Figure Characters: 7.99
Magic Items: 3.99
Level Figures: 9.99

Not a great deal, but better prices for me on Ebay. The shipping alone would have cost how much I spent today.

I got a Trigger Happy for $0.89 back when they were doing it last year.
