The ad this week says Giants regular singles are $7.49 as well.
so, I assume Giants are $12.50 each, and SSA singles are $6 each? Can anyone at TRU confirm if they'll do it for single purchases or does the deal only apply when you actually buy 2?

Yes all giants singles r $7.49, but also both s1 and giants singles r 2 for $12.

Yes, if you can find them. TRU has more inventory to choose from. They both are good deals if you are still looking for any or just starting out. I for one have both stores close by but I have all skylanders at this point. Curious if the TRU and/or Target are getting more (old) inventory for these sale to clear out the warehouse?

They had a TV ad I saw on Saturday...Boomer was trolling me there too!

I love how these were 4.99 just yesterday...now I get to pay $2 more when I get two. I stocked up on everything they had--as I only bought one of each when SSA was originally released.

Darklight Crypt, Boomer and Zap still to find some dupes of.

My Target has better stock then the nearest TRU. Surprisingly, the Walmart here that hardly ever restocks has better stock then the last time I was at the local TRU.

If you get Toys R Us ad walmart will always price match the 7.49 and Best Buy should too. They will not do gimmicks like targets buy 2 get 1 free though.

You are correct...
They will only price match (one for one).
They also will not match a bundle sale. Sometimes TRU will sell the Xbox360 along with2 specific games.

TRU has a new television spot with that annoying kid playing a news reporter.

All they mention is that the Skylanders Giants figures are $7.49 for this "2 Day Sale".

To best take advantage of this sale, it might be good to buy a few and take them back when you see something at another store you want. (I know that sounds a bit shady but hey...it's a tough economy amirite?)
