Should I wait to get Scarlet, in hopes that she comes to the US, but potentially not get her for a while (as I won't be going to the US for a little while, though I have a friend who's going back and can pick stuff up pretty soon), or buy her of Amazon.de. How much does shipping cost, and how long will it take. I have an amazon gift card, so I can pay. Or I can hope that she comes to Amazon.jo. What do you think? I really, really, want to get Scarlet, maybe even two (one to take out of the box). I could also get Jadewing on Amazon.de for only a little more than at Target.

She'll be coming, along with Polar. Be patient, and save some cash. No in game variant has yet NOT to show up, I don't expect it to start now.

Yeah, since the Giants era isn't over yet, it's safe to assume that all of the Giants era variants will be worldwide releases like they were in the SA era.

So it is safe to say GITD Fright Rider is eventually going to be released in the US? It's been out for a while now, but I haven't seen any news on it making its way here.

I'm talking about IN GAME variants. My guess is GITD Fright Rider will not grace US shores.

But you'd be wrong on this one, because the Ninjinis are certainly shipping as described. No reason to mistrust a sure thing. Just use Google Chrome to translate. There is no more reputable or honest online retailer than Amazon.

Yes I ordered 2 and got two. Amazon.de is the same as US site. They came in a nice box and the wait was 8 days at a cost of 22.48 each that included shipping. How can you go wrong? Use Google chrome and have at it what are you waiting on?

I ordered mine and supposed to be here Monday, but it might be a few days behind according to recent purchasers they are getting them a day or 2 later than expected. but the 6-7 dollar shipping is worth it to get it now than to wait a month or 2 for it to be released to the US.

I ordered mine, she arrived 1 day before the original estimate and 2 days before the last estimate. Got her the next day. And she looks slightly better than Ninjini in a couple of ways...She has nail polish while Nin doesn't, Scar's arm braces are glittery red while Nin's are plain purple... And personal preference that my fave colour is red, and her swords are gold instead of the same old ordinary silver.

My only complaint is that her lightcore effect is a little messed up, especially compared to the obviously-proper one on my Ninjini. She was supposed to ship on the 15th, she was listed as shipped that day, and I got the delivery notice 6 days later, instead of the predicted 7 or 8 (so, shipped Friday, got the delivery attempt slip Thursday).

Worked fine, and I don't have Google Chrome. Instead I copied stuff into another window, into Google Translate, did a good enough job. All that was left was the buttons, I used normal Windows Character Map to type the accented characters to help me re-type the command buttons.

Just make sure you use normal Amazon to set up your delivery address and payment information so you don't have to do that in a foreign language. That stuff was already there and waiting for me when I completed the order.

And final price, EVERYTHING included, was $30 (don't forget the exchange rate), way lower than the feared $50. And I live in Canada, pretty sure shipping to Canada is more due to lower demand.

Let me be clear--I have no problems ordering from a reputable online retailer like Amazon--regardless of hosted country. I have less faith in eBay sellers and the overall shipping process--I've had my share of USPS screw ups.

My ability to say "No" simply is because I don't want to bother with overseas shipping worry, paying extra $8 or more per figure. For ME, personally, it's not worth it. I'll wait for the J hooks and an American appearance, thank you very much.

I never said Amazon was untrustable. I should've said this earlier but the real reason is because I don't like paying extra for figures or google translating stuff. I'll wait for an American appearance for a while now. I do agree with you on all your points though.

Store-exclusive chase variants are most likely going to remain with their region restriction.

But, that's the thing. It doesn't cost $30. It costs just over $22 all said and done. If I go to TRU, pay $15.99 plus sales tax I'm close to that. If I ordered from the TRU website plus tax and shipping it is OVER that. Amazon is a single company - your ID here is your ID there, all of your info is present on both sites.

But american gift cards won't work there, period. Anyway, I suppose 22$s not bad, but if it can be bought in america I'd save a few $ and could buy another one or maybe Jadewing.

It was $30 for ME, but that's because I'm in Canada... Everyone I've seen quote a price in the States has quoted $22. And it sounds like you're placing too much fear into the translation... Sure, automatic/computerized translators don't do a perfect job. BUT! Google Translate has done the best job I've seen (I like in a "bilingual" area, where I don't speak the main language, so I've had to use translators A LOT), and all you REALLY need is a vague, general idea to know what you're doing. If translating a button results in "Place In Truck", do you think you can figure out that's the Add To Cart button? And Google Translate usually does a better job than THAT.

In the end it's up to you, of course, I'm just saying that your worries are not necessary, and it's only a little extra effort, a little extra waiting, and for Americans REALLY not a heck of a lot more than what you would spend all told in a store. And it works, as evidenced by the many people who tried it and successfully received her.

Stranger things have happened I suppose, but I, for one, can not see Activision leaving easy money on the table by NOT releasing a special desirable in-game variant character in its largest market, North America.
I'm quite certain the the "early" releases in Europe are designed to create "buzz" and anxiety among North American Skylanders fans, and many of ya'll are falling right into that trap. That doesn't make you a bad person; just gullible, or nervous.

To be honest, I bet Activision could have created four or five variant color Ninjinis, and if they did, there would undoubtedly be people that would HAVE to have all four/five. That's *EASY* money for a manufacturer when its product is "hot" ... and there is no way that Scarlet Ninjini and Polar Whirlwind won't grace the shelves of American retail stores. And when they do, you can be certain that you'll "hear it here first". Just gotta be patient.

Yeah, my biggest surprise is that Activision didn't really got nuts with the variants. I guess they realize there is a breaking point on color swaps. Once you create "too many" to where people go "I can't get them all" then they might think "Why worry about any variants at all"?. As a collector, most people have a line in the sand - and that line differs for each person. The trick for Activision is to not step over that line for most people.

To be clear, I didn't get Scarlet because I'm worried she won't come to North America, I'm sure she will... I got her because I'm fed up for waiting to even get NEWS about her availability. As far as I know, most of us who pre-ordered her now have her, and I STILL haven't heard when or where she'll be in North America! I have her, I'm done, I can stop worrying and waiting. Period. It's really nice, and I find worth the extra money.

That's cool. I almost broke and got one...but I figured--we've had a ton of new releases in the last month or so so I'm enjoying the lull frankly. Trust me, I'm still stressing about some extra SSA characters cause I thought these things would be there forever---and now TRU even got rid of the SSA Legendary sku online. It's been a good education for me to "be prompt" when they get released. To that end, technically Polar and Scarlet isn't "released" where I live so why worry?

As hard as I know it is to wait- trust me I've been tempted to bid/buy a Scarlet Ninjini and Polar Whirlwind too but I'm almost 100% positive that they'll find their way here to the US.
Its totally your call though on what you'd rather do- I know its hard to wait but I'm almost positive it'll be worth your while- and your wallet will probably thank you as well

Be nice if they ended up in Asia :P.
Anyway, I have yet to get an Undead, so maybe I'll wait and get the fright rider 3-pack and Scarlet if she comes to US (preferably on amazon USA).
