OOC: Hey redwes, I might have to include your character in the artwork soon

"Great great great, I'm starving!" the hyperactive kea yelled, heading in that direction and dragging poor little Rose along...

OOC: Thank-you. I certainly hope so, as my current character does not have three strikes available. If I manage to fail again and am forced to abandon this again, there's no chance of returning. I was lucky that I was able to add-on the whole abusive owner/gold collar part to Sayan's existing story (Partly thanks to your "He left for business elsewhere." line). If it were to happen again, I couldn't possibly think of a logical reason for it. Thank-you for mentioning that particular line by the way...

The Amur leopard was still unconscious on the ground. His breathing was much lighter, however, and the collar was no longer a threat.

Ooc: can you remind me the kinds of prey that can be found?

OOC: Most of them can be found in the wetland area (pigeons, wombats, numbats, ect.) There are not exactly large animals, unless you want to count kangaroos in the Outbacks...

Voracivenom didn't reply to Cole's statement. Rather, he looked up at Sybil, waiting for an answer.

Ooc: ignore what I just said.

Chica dropped her large wombat, and looked around for rose. She finally looked in her direction, and motioned to come

"a wombat" Chica answered. "I've never really eaten Australian food, but I hope it tastes good"

"Now now friend, don't you think you are being too hasty here? I already discussed this with Mambo, and everyone wants to give things a new start." Sybil explained, hoping to end that pointless feud. "Listed, I'll gather everyone here and told them to apologize, alright?" she then assured, not so sure if everyone, especially Skaliscin, were going to agree.

Cole took one look at her sister, her eyes telling him to agree and start all over, which was enough to convince him and stay behind until the civet gathered those who had the dispute...

"Wow, look at that... thing. It looks a lot like those Amazonian rodents, the capibara, but they aren't, aren't they? No doubt the Australian fauna is one of the most unique in the world." Mambo said excitedly, giving the impression he was looking at the animal as an object of study rather than food...

"have you ever eaten Australian fauna?" Chica asked curiously.

Jaerl nudges his dad, Royal.

"Admit it dad, you didn't know if it would work or not, but you were willing to try it for a friend," he says with a smile.

Royal turn toward Jaerl and nods.

"Alright its true, I didn't know if it was going to work, but I will do anything for a friend."

Slowly but suddenly, Sayan begins to regain consciousness. The Amur leopard slowly gets up, noticing the sliced collar on the ground. Someone must of sliced it off... (he thought)

Royal upon seeing Sayan awake walks over to him.

"Feeling better my friend? You need not worry about the collar anymore, it is as good as dead. My talons made short work of its defenses."

Sayan nodded, "Thank-you..." He then lowers his voice so that any nearby kea couldn't hear, "I don't know what was worse... the collar itself or those stupid kea almost killing me over it." He sighs, "At least its over with now and I certainly don't plan on leaving this haven again. One taste of the real world is enough to last a lifetime."

Royal nods at Sayan's comments.

"You were lucky my friend, Chica tells me that Aeriji, the margay was less fortunate. Scars adorn his entire body as souvenirs of his past among humans. She also talks about severe emotional trauma that he went through but will not elaborate anymore. When anyone asks all she says is that they were horrors that we can't even imagine."

"No. But we keas love to study the different species from the world, even if we can't leave our hometown that often. I however, was lucky enough to explore the Brazilian jungle for a couple of months. It was so beautiful, I didn't even get homesick." Mambo kindly explained, joyed that he amended with the wolf.

"that sounded like fun" chica said, "what is this brazil like"

"Well, the foliage was very vast, the food and water was plenty, but above all, it is one dangerous jungle." Mambo specified, though sounding as if it was no big deal.

"There is a very little number of humans there, but unlike those who use all those metallic artifacts, these humans used natural material. They really don't damage nature, they just take what they need. Oh, and you should see how they hunt; they grab a very poisonous frog and insert the point of their spears with it. It is quite cool." Mambo said excitedly, feeling almost like a teacher.

"poison dart frogs..." Chica murmured, and bit into the wombat. "what do keas eat?"

Sayan briefly looks back down at the sliced collar, "Though I do have some scars, they are nether as deep nor traumatic as his. You are correct... I am truly fortunate." He sighs and slowly shakes his head, "Why do the humans have to be so... cruel? If it wasn't for that, a place like this wouldn't be necessary and experiences such as what Aeriji experienced wouldn't occur."

Royal shakes hie head.

"I don't know my friend. They're are just some wicked people in the world. Though the conservationists are good people. They do everything within their power to protect animals and nature alike. These people would be our friends, but I do not think that we will ever get their help because of the storms and dangers that keep this island hidden and safe. Though a world without humans is better."

Mambo heard the whisper, but didn't understand it. He didn't mind asking though. Instead, he concentrated on answering Chica's question. "Well you see, we love eating plants and insects, especially larvae. Anyway, we never pass the opportunity of eating meat, especially sheep." he said with a smile.

"Oh, but it's not what you think. We only eat very little meat, and we make sure the sheep don't get too hurt, but some of them die after a while. Those silly things are just so prone to infections... I wonder if that's why humans hate us?" Mambo asked himself, pretending to be naive.

"possibly, thats basically the same reason why they hate wolves" chica said, and ate more of the wombat.

"It is incredible how most humans don't accept nature the way it is. You know, there are some animals that have no choice but to adapt themselves to the city, and people calls them plagues. How ignorant can you get? Don't they realize they are the the ones invading?" Mambo said with some unease, then tried to change the subject, since that topic was very unpleasant...

Skaliscin emerged from the bushes behind Sybil, Speckles clambering up to her head. Flicking her tongue, she tasted the scents of all the conservationists: Sybil, Royal, Jaerl, lingering trails of the badger, that irritating kea she met earlier, an unidentified kea, and a few other scents...
"Do I s-s-smell a S-s-sayan?" she questioned aloud, in an oddly friendlily tone.
Speckles's head jolted up at the serpent's statement. "Sayan?"
Then, Skaliscin focused on another smell... it seemed familiar...
"Hey! I think I s-s-smell another s-s-sentipede-eater!" she announced loudly, with an odd edge to her voice.

Voracivenom had frozen in his tracks, only flicking his tongue occasionally. That voice... he knew that voice... no, his mind must be playing tricks on him. After all, it's been a while since he ate anything; the hunger must be finally getting at him.
When he didn't move, he heard the stranger again. "I know you're there out there; I could s-s-smell your masculine odor from miles away."
"You could not! And that's a sorry attempt at being flirtatious; you sound so desperate!" another, higher-pitched voice interjected.
"I am des-s-sperate, pinhead!" the serpentine voice retorted.
Voracivenom continued to stay still as a statue; not even his tongue licked the air, he was so befuddled.

Jaerl walks over to Skaliscin.. He wants to ask her about me.

"Uh Skaliscin I was wondering about Aeriji. Since you were seen near there, I thought I'd ask you before I go visit him. How is he," he asks gently out of courtesy too not hurt her if this is a painful subject.

OOC: Uh, sorry Wyrstel. I think you got the wrong impression. Let me edit that last post...
EDIT: Fixed it. See, Speckles was arguing with Skaliscin(as usual), not Voracivenom. Sorry I didn't verify that at first.

"Sybil felt uncomfortable, and so was Cole. He was still too angry at Skaliscin, so to avoid trouble, he flew above a tree branch, away from that... moving reunion? Either the case, now that he was there, he glanced at Sybil, hoping she would do something to correct Skaliscin's behavior towards him...

"So then, spare a little of that will you? This Haven is just s interesting, I must keep exploring. You two take care, alright?" he said to Rose and Chica before flying off (and to think that he was "starving"). He hoped that didn't seemed rude. In fact, he only used that as an excuse to go to where Sybil was.
Before arriving to the forest with her, he was sure he heard one of his fellow keas yelling. As the leader, it was his duty to see what was the matter...

While Jaerl was talking to Skaliscin, Voracivenom managed to peer around Sybil. Skaliscin noticed this movement, and her eyes remained locked with male serpent's when what she was seeing fully sank in.
Speckles watched with intensity at the exchange. Realization sparked, and he instantly face-palmed.
"Not two seconds, and they're already smitten with each other. Great," the exasperated velvet worm muttered.
Whether Skaliscin didn't hear or didn't care about Speckles's remark, the world may never know. After an uncomfortable moment(which felt like an eternity), the flabbergasted serpent finally replied, "Never better..."

"good bye" chica called back, and looked at the rest of the wombat. she pushed it over to rose. "have the rest"

Jaerl upon seeing the two serpents' eyes locked together he smiles slightly. Not knowing what never better means, he hopes that it mean good or alright. He walks over to Sybil and speaks.

"I'll be right back Sybil, I'm going to go visit Aeriji for a little bit. With that he spreads his wings and takes off in the direction of my den. He must be so lonely inside that tree all alone, unable to do anything but lay down and rest, he thinks to himself. He walks up to the opening of the den and speaks.

"Aeriji, it's Jaerl can I come in? I came to visit you and see how you are doing."

"Come on in, company is always welcome, I say solemnly. After getting my permission he steps inside. I am curled up in a corner alone with tears falling down my cheeks. He walks over and asks what's wrong.

I tell him its the pain. I tell him that at times it is unbearable but that I endure.

He sits next to me and talks to me for many hours until I finally fall asleep. Then with a sigh he flies off back to the others. Poor Aeriji, he thinks and he stands beside Sybil.

... Until the eager, ecstatic Mambo came to ruin the moment. "Hey Sybil... oh? Why isn't this a pretty sight? Two serpents falling in love, that's very unusual to see..." he exclaimed, with Sybil's eyes wide open, begging him to shut up, and Cole and her sister hiding their faces in embarrassment. How did they ended up with that particular kea as their leader?

Skaliscin snapped out of her trance at intrusive kea's words. She shot him an acidic glare and opened her mouth to retort- only to glance back at Voracivenom, who was urgently shaking his head. After a moment's hesitation, Skaliscin backed down, but continued to give Mambo the stink-eye.
Voracivenom cleared his throat. "Actually, this is my lifelong friend. I've known her for as long as I can remember."

Mambo only looked at Skaliscin with a grin. He wasn't intimidated at all, but he realized he done t that time. He really must change his attitude, and he knew that. Seeing Cole up the tree, he remembered his business with him, and flew besides him. "Hew Cole, a few minutes ago, I heard some yelling, and I think it was you. What happened?" he asked his bodyguard, only to recieve a glare from him, as if it wasn't obvious...

Sybil was looking at them, clouding her view from the two serpents. She was relieved that Mambo was taking care of that issue.

When Mambo flew up to Cole's perch, Voracivenom glanced back at Skaliscin, flashing her a broad grin. Skaliscin gave a small smile in return, and the male serpent turned his head up to the two keas. Speckles watched the exchange with interest. He was very surprised by the new arrival's... erm, arrival.
However, he wasn't very surprised that Skaliscin didn't slither all over him in her immense joy; she would never display so much sappiness in front of anyone-- even Speckles.
The velvet worm tore from his thoughts when he noticed that his scaly companion hadn't reverted her gaze from the equally reptilian male. He tapped her eye gently with a claw, resulting in her eyelid swiftly shutting out the irritation.
"What?" Skaliscin snapped irritably, her pupil contracting to a slit, glaring at Speckles.
"I guess he's kinda nice to look at," he shrugged, obviously trying hard not to crack a grin.
The black-capped snake hissed and shook her head violently, flinging the irritating invertebrate off. He landed softly in the leaves covering the ground, giggling despite his fall. Speckles popped his head out of the bedding, focusing on Skaliscin's face to see her expression. She was giving the ground the death stare, and her facial scales had changed considerably close to the same color as her spindly body.
Speckles was now laughing uncontrollably. Voracivenom was oblivious to the scenario, but made a swift glance at the hysterical worm before turning back to Cole and Mambo.

Mambo was secretly watching and listening to the spectacle, but avoiding any more distractions, he returned to the main topic; "Well?" he asked.

Cole looked at Sybil, she only nodded. "It is nothing. Something silly boss, nothing to worry about." Cole answered, much to both the civet and the kea's surprises. Mambo knew that when Cole was angry, he stood with the feeling, and Sybil was sure he was going to complain. "Come on Cheryl, it's time to settle down in our new tree." he said to his sister, flying off in the distance and waiting for her.

She looked at the reptiles, and then her boss and finally Sybil with a confused face, which then changed into a smile. Looks like her brother is learning to forget and forgive, although she didn't know why. Was it the Haven's influence? Whatever it was, she was glad he changed his mind and decided to stay. She liked the place a lot.

A single tear falls down Jaerl's face as he gazes off in the direction of my tree. His wings remain folded at his side for he knows I need rest. He begins to pace as he continues to think of me, all alone, unable to do anything due to his injures and forever internally scarred from his life among humans. He sighs and tries to think of something else. Gazing up at the sky he smiles.

"It really is a beautiful day. Its too bad that Aeriji, cannot enjoy it as well," he says sadly to himself, ignoring his tears.

Ooc: well I just offered rose the rest of the wombat, voracienom reunited with skalicen and cole and syrel went to there new tree

OOC: Hey Wystrel, I am sorry that I mention this so late, but everytime you post, you speak of both Jaerl and Royal in first person, which is confusing. I don't know whether you are talking about Royal or Jaerl :/

Sybil sighed in relief, glad that the ugly dispute was in the past now. Skaliscin was really stubborn and pesky, which reminded her the nasty bite the snake gave to her a few weeks ago. Not wanting to disturb the two reptiles any further, she quietly headed to the beach, determined to ride an orca and explore the ocean; one of her favorite hobbies...

OOC: Jaerl and Royal I do in third person. I use he rather than I. I only use first person with Aeriji, who I am being.
