Sort of off topic but thanks for the ad post cause I'll be using that Buy 2 Get 1 on games if it runs through the end of this month but not on Skylanders lol.

Is this thing gonna be a madhouse? IE: If I go to Target at open on Sunday morning is there going to be a bunch of people?

I remember seeing granite crusher on shelves for a while just perusing Target every now and again. We already had regular Crusher so that wasn't going to happen, however, Jade is much cooler looking than regular Flash and we don't have that one yet, so I'm up for it this go. But I really am fine just getting the regular one if it is going to be a fiasco looking for this thing.

^ I seriously doubt anyone will have a problem getting her on Sun. I've got 2 right now, 1 of which I don't want/need and plan to take back at some point after Sun. I've really gotta stop grabbing figures up for others when I see them if I can't get hold of the person first to see if they actually need it lol.

The question is: Do you have your receipt? Because of the sale on the 17th, buy 2 get one free. If you return it on the 17th or after they may only give you a discount or none at all because you have no proof of buying it during the sale. So either return it before the 17th or produce the receipt to show proof of you paying full price.

I hope Target comes strong with a very large and varied display/stock of characters for this sale starting Sunday.
Recently, whenever I visit a Target location, I just find a mixture of Series 2 Cynder, Whirlwind, Flashwing, Lightcore Eruptor, Lightcore Jet-Vac, Lightcore Drobot, Stump Smash, and Swarm.

Literally, that's seemingly all Target ever has during the past 2 months. It's lame!

Ideally you wouldn't have posted the actual Target ad since the rest of the ad isn't meant to be seen by the general public until Saturday at the earliest, but if it's out there, then it's out there.
The skylanders case is exclusive to Target, but I don't think it has Jade Flashwing on it.

You shouldn't have a problem getting Jade starting Sunday. If she happens to sell out at your location on Sunday, check back later in the week. She'll be featured in next Sunday's ad as well, so they quantities are heavy for the next two weeks.

I noticed the ad shows the carrying case priced at $39.99.
That's odd, because I've seen it marked down to $25.00 at several Target locations recently.
I wonder if they'll remove the clearance price just in time for the Buy2Get1 sale ....?

Yeah this ain't my first rodeo with returning something to a store lol. The extra one is still sealed and I still have the receipt. Also I paid on my debit card so Target could look it up that way if something should happen to the receipt. My wife was working at Target when I first met her years ago and she told me about the debit look up when I had something else to take back there before but couldn't find my receipt.

I would've gone already but I wasn't sure if I'd run into problems returning it because of the fact they weren't supposed to sell them until the 17th.

I don't see how that would pose a problem. They are going to know you bought it before the 17th based on your receipt anyway.

^ yeah that's true and I'm not worried about them knowing I bought it early. I wasn't sure if the lockout in the system to stop them from selling it would now also cause problems with trying to return it. That's why I decided to just wait once they put the lockout in the system.

I didn't think about the lockout in reverse. Yeah, I'd probably wait too.

I do. But I rarely ever go looking for the next weeks ad. It's bad enough that I have to be the one putting up these signs on the shelves lol.

Actually that skylanders transport case does have Jade on it. I never realized it before. Whenever they do a buy 2, get 1 offer, everything is at regular price. There may have been similar cases on sale/clearance in the past, but I doubt this one has hit the floor yet.
I've been waiting to buy S2 Spyro until the Target promotion starting this weekend, so I hope they have him in most of their stores by then.

How many skylanders do you think you can fit in one of those cases? Even if you stuck more than 1 in each "window" and do the Giants fit realistically in that? I am just trying to decide if I should get the Molten Hot Dog carrying bag or this case, this case looks pretty sweet with Ninjini on it. Thanks

The Skylanders accessories are also part of the buy 2, get 1 free offer this weekend, so if you need skylander characters too, you might want to wait until Sunday to buy it.

Does anybody know if Target is going to be expanding the area they put the Skylanders Giants for this sale or put it in a different area also? Most of the Targets where I live have rather small Skylanders sections.

I have one of those cases (the original Giants case) and I can fit all mine in there, though it can be tricky sometimes. I do have to put more than 1 in each slot, and the right side has bigger slots to accomodate the Giants. Some Giants fit no problem, like Thumpback and Crusher, but Ninjini and Swarm cause a little difficulty because of their height. But then, I don't collect any variants, so I probably have less to carry than most other people.

Thanks for the info. We have all of Series 1 and almost all of series 2. I may grab one of these instead of the Molten Hot Dog bag.

I also forgot to mention, the normal price for the carrying case was $39.99 but the one I got was on sale for $25.

Only thing for sure I know of is the extra peg hook for Jade Flashwing being put in the main Skylanders section. It varies from store to store but right now my Target has 3 Skylanders locations. Main section is with the Wii games, then 4 peg hooks on a video game end cap and a side cap in toys that has about 8 peg hooks.

Sounds like all you guys have really small areas. Mine are pretty big at most stores, and then some have one like 4-5 pegs on the front of the video game area (usually in front of the touch screen TV thing) and occasionally a smaller rectangle rack on the end of a toy aisle.

I've only been to one so far that hasn't changed over into the new Target style, and they had about 5 racks by the games, then a larger 7-8 rack behind the main counter (still accessible), another 7-8 rack on the back aisle, PLUS one more of the rectangle ones on an endcap.


Looks like Target is also following suit with Walmart though- the one I went into yesterday had another section over by the toys with other Skylanders merch (plush and the rubber things). They appear to be by the Ben 10 and Pokemon stuff, so look there.

Gonna try for this tomorrow. Hope the odds are in my favor!

It can't be purchased until tomorrow so it was probably one they forgot to take off the shelf.

That makes sense. I have three so I didn't try to buy it.
