Sold out already. This was. telco exclusive in the UK, and I had one in my hand and didn't buy it. Regret that now as they say they are never getting any more in.

According to the electronics guy at my local target, it has been discontinued at target and everywhere will be carrying it soon. I don't know if there is any truth to that, but that is what he told me.

I've was looking the last couple of days, target website says they have them but when you go they don't i actually got lucky at one store yesterday the guy looked in the back and had one box left and I bought a few.

What's the DCPI for this one? Online said "Limited Stock" but nothing in the store.

This same thing happened with S1 Whirlwind while it was Target-exclusive. Once Target designates it as "Discontinued" in their system, the stock locator is essentially frozen and only shows what the stock levels were on the day Target discontinued it. The stores showing "In stock" or "Limited stock" probably sold out weeks/months ago, but the tracker will never update.

I got 3 yesterday. It said in stock they told me they didn't have it but they had a full box in the back that was just left back there and never brought out

I gave in and bought mine a month ago for about $30. They've gone up in price already it sounds.

Call a head of time if your local Target shows available online.

Found out the hard way when I went to one about 40 mins away cause it said online it was available.

When I asked the guy working electronics he said that their is a major disconnect from the store inventory and what Target.com says. To the point he wouldn't trust what the web site says.

FYI the target I went to still say's they have in available in the store and he said they haven't had him in a long time.

I concur with this statement by Pirg.
Yesterday, I went to a Target and gave Granite Crusher's DPCI to the customer service desk clerk. She input it into the computer and printed out a receipt paper for me that showed 4 different local Targets having a stock of one-to-three Granite Crushers. Both the clerk and the paper print-out encouraged me to actually call the individual stores to confirm inventory. I'm glad I did, because all four stores had no Granite Crushers, despite what the inventory database said.

My wife used to work in retail long ago, and she said she wasn't particularly surprised by this. There are lots of reasons why an inventory database would show stock when there isn't any actual stock. These include: theft, mishandled returns, and employees hoarding items for themselves, among other things.

Anyway .... does anyone know of an actual way to purchase Granite Crusher at retail prices now? Or it is fair to say that the supply is totally dried up and the only option is Ebay?

^It seems eBay is it. I bought mine at double retail and now they're starting to rise. Based on how badly they are handling these in game variants is enough for me to shy away from then next time (assuming there is a next time).
