I would expect Polar and Scarlet to come to the US, (at least I really, really hope they do!) But my theory for their release is that they probably won't be out until closer to when Wave 5 comes out. We've already had two variants come out very close together for Wave 4, it would kinda make sense that they save two more variants for Wave 5.

I know that the release of something in another country usually means that it will be here very soon, but it's possible that this time could be different. I mean, when have the Wave releases for Giants ever followed any kind of patteren? We had Wave 1 and 2 come out back to back, then nothing for a while, and then we got Wave 3 and 4, which were so stretched out that they almost blended together, and who knows how they're going to handle Wave 5?!

This is all kind of silly. If you want to make a wager, then make it something fun - after all it is just speculation and releases have been completely unpredictable. Sure some people have gotten parts right, but in general Wave contents have baffled every bit of logic anyone has come up with lately. The only truly accurate things have been things like MHD and Jade Flashwing, but that was from people with actual inside knowledge, or from store employees that have seen inside the boxes/weekly ads.

How about this for the wager then: Whoever loses has to post a YouTube of themselves performing "I'm a Little Teacup"?

And for the record, I'm definitely in the camp of Polar Whirlwind being released here eventually. Simply because this is the primary market, and Polar Whirlwind is in the Guide for all the kids to see. Maybe I'll end up being wrong - I definitely wouldn't wager either way personally. If I could find her and be able to order Internationally cheaply (like Scarlet Ninjini), I probably would do it. Simply to have it out of the way, not because I don't think she will come out here. I won't do eBay though, I'm not about to encourage scalping.

Even others here have stated that these things appear in America a matter of weeks after they're released overseas. Yet, unlike Jade and wave 4 singles, we haven't heard or seen a single thing suggesting these two are coming out in the US.

Recent Prism Break auctions have him going for $200-$270.

An open issue I have with activision is the deliberate lack of information they provide to the consumer. While I (and I am guessing many others) strongly suspect that US dates of all in-game figures is inevitable the lack of confirmation on this fuels paranoia and concern from collectors. However, it can also be stated that there is no solid evidence to promote the logic of Polar Whirlwind or Scarlet being exclusive any particular part of the world. This entire conversation is speculation and will remain so until the time these figures do start surfacing in the states.

xerokills- in all seriousness I understand why activision uses surprise in their sales tactics it maintains peoples desire to stay invested in researching the product and helps deflect in stock focused distribution issues (like how the west coast will sometimes see new figures a week before the east or central states). I am just frustrated in the chaos and concern lack of news causes to the alarmists in the community. Until there is an official notice of these variants in the states some of the members will make claims tantamount to "Oh noes the only way to gets Polar Whirlwind is to drive to Norway right now". I am personally tired of how these kind of statements rile up others up plug up the threads with needless hysteria. Although, I will admit I did succumb and buy a Scarlet from the German Amazon website, it did feel like the added cost was worth the benefit of knowing I had one coming.

Well... I talked to someone at TFB (can't say who but I do know multiple people), and they say they don't know what gets released where, or if Polar is coming out in the US. That member just told me they hope Polar does, so they can get one for themself.

So, it's obviously not in the hands of TFB as to what gets released here.

That should make things interesting, because they only allow you to do one set per address. Either way, I lose out on 2 complete sets that way, and you would lose out a set, whether it's your only set or a second set as well.

I'd say this is very likely... but I'm not much of a betting man. Unless I know for sure the outcome. And I have no reliable information regarding Giants Sidekicks.

This title needs to change to "Betting on Polar Whirlwind in the US".
