Am I missing anyone? I'm not worried about variants.
LC Hex
LC Chill
Singles-
Drobot
chop chop
Polar whirlwind
Scarlet ninjini

This is all I can think of. It's it finally almost over? Do we know when any of these are going to be released and where?

Only I don't see is LC Pop Fizz. You can preorder him on TRU. It used to say he'd ship on 3/10/13 but now says 12/31/13 so i predict all preorders to be canceled smilie

Single pack Chop Chop is still not confirmed. Same with single Zap.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did not release those as singles.

Yeah I didn't add lc pop fizz bc I preordered him. Forgot about single zap and jet vac of they make a single. Was there ever a single for gill grunt from SSA? Or a single spyro? I was thinking one of them was never released in a single bc of the starter packs. They may do the same with Jet vac bc he is in every starter pack. It would still be nice to have a single pack to add to the collection tho.

No single pack for Gill Grunt. They have a Dark Spyro Single pack and an E3 Spyro single pack but that;s it.

Technically, there was a SSA single pack of Spyro, Gill Grunt, and Trigger Happy. These are the ever elusive 2011 E3 promo figures given out ONLY to media and judges prior to the E3 in July of 2011. To date, these are the rarest figures one can find in a sealed package...

Those don't really count as relating to the topic though.

This may be true, but then your reference to the E3 Spyro single pack would also not count as relating either... thus I prefaced my response with "technically."

Is there such a thing as Blizzard Jet Vac? If so you can add him to the mix

I got the dark spyro pack but everyone of those others look all jacked up in the package and even if there was a legit one in the package to me they would be much more worthless than something like a rock or glitter variant. I wouldn't pay 5 $ or less for any of those and I've spent a pretty penny on the variants I like. I don't collect all the variants just the ones I really like. If these things ever became worth anything years down the road or wouldn't be the variants selling. They are just popular right now. I've seen things like factory sealed nintendo games like tetris sell for 500 bucks bc they are factory sealed and original. I've seen the same game where tetris was mispelled on the package and it was listed for months and never sold. I know this is a whole different ballgame bit I still think in the long run of skylanders ever become a vintage item the originals would be more sought after. However its kind of like sports cards. Now that there are so many people collecting these things hoping for a decent payday they actually won't even be worth what we paid for them years from now which is why I stay away from the variants unless it is one I like. I have the gotta have them all mentality but not to the point of dropping 200 $ on every variant just to have them all or pay over retail just to have a figure a few days sooner than the release date. If anyone is in this to collect and make moneytotake the most they will ever get for their figures or collections is now. As time goes on the market just gets saturated and overloaded with these things they won't be able to hold their value. So I don't mind buying one of each and opening them. 15-20 years from now if I see the original SSA set selling for thousands then I'll eat crore but I highly doubt that day will ever come.

I have seen this post but I guess I should have been more specific:
So is it a ProtoType or an in-game variant?

I don't disagree that the E3's aren't visually appealing, but if you were to acquire one and sell it to the right collector, they can go for big money. This would just give you more opportunity to turn around and buy the variants you really want. GM78 has previously mentioned his distaste for how they look and that he passed up buying some for fairly cheap. Had he bought them only to sell them to those who really wanted them, he could have easily added even more Skylanders to his already growing collection.

As far as future value goes, yes these quite possibly will be worth next to nada in 20 years. If their high point in value is now, even more reason to buy the rare stuff and turn around and sell it to add what you truly want to your collection...

I trust the blog of the person who created the 3D prototype print much more than a few retail websites that have used the same image. This is a 3D prototype print created from TFB's print machine. I don't even think its made of colored plastic like the factory figures. I'm fairly certain it's a prototype.

There is no such thing as a Blizzard Jet-Vac.
The picture was a 3D render of the figure. The word "Blizzard" on the base is the logo of the company "Blizzard Entertainment." The people who make Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo for PC. That being on the base may have indication that Blizzard had some early involvement.

Here is a link to the Blizzard website, so you can look at the Jet-Vac 3D render and see that the logo matches. I hope everyone who thinks there is some Blizzard Jet-Vac reads this... This rumor needs to die...

Help!

I am only 3 away from a complete collection. I don't have all variants. But I do have most light cores and legendaries. I just started skylander hunting a few months ago. I realize I'm late to the party. But I've gotten very lucky. Most I found at or below retail price!

I'm just trying to complete my 1 of each right now. Any helpful (affordable) suggestions in finding:
Boomer
Wham-shell
Ghost roaster

Any advice? Any one want to sell? I've tried eBay. That's just crazy too much for one skylander. I've got 5 kids!
Or do i keep hoping for blind luck?

Thanks guys!

Your only gonna get ghost roaster on Ebay if you are looking for the character only since he came in the Darklight Crypt expansion which Acti is no longer making. They appear from time to time in random places so you just need to keep an eye out. As far as the other two go, Wham-shell and Boomer are two of the hardest ones to find in my opinion as they show up randomly as well. So if you are in a hurry to complete your collection then Ebay is the way your gonna need to go.

Keep searching Target, Walmart, BJ's, etc. for the Darklight Crypt expansion and you find one there. I've found at Target if you don't see any on the shelf and you ask at Electronics for them to check the back you can get lucky.

Wham-shell can be had at toysrus with the castle pack. Not to be confused with the tower thingy, its a cartboard wall thingy and says hes free inside. It cost like $30 or so but atm should be BOCO 50% with other stuff.

I keep seeing people listing the Chop Chop S2 single pack on the list of remaining Skylanders.... How is it you guys don't have him yet? Did you skip the two Dragonfire three packs (Golden and regular, they have different cards so they are different items)?

Am I missing something or hasn't S2 Chop Chop been around since launch?

Wow. What a great response. Thank you! Any more advice? I'm collecting due to wanting to play the game fully. I'm not just collecting. I've played every spyro game since the beginning. I know skylander is a take in a different direction, but great nonetheless. I'll go hunt down the toys r us thing. I hope I can figure out what you're talking about. Haha. Thanks again!
