Is it still possible to find one in the stores? Or am i going o have to dish out a crap load of money to a scalper?

They are very very very very very very rare in stores. A couple of people have found them in a Target in NJ recently. However, more than likely going to have to go to Evilbay!

I got one, and tipotay got the last in Brick.

Last time I saw one was at Target before Giants came out.

Good luck finding one. I've searched for a month now. Would have saved money if I'd have just bought one off fleabay, but I refuse....for now. I'll even offer up jade flashwing, molten hotdog, or ninjini if somebody finds one local and wants to do some trading.

I have them at my local Target. I have seen them there each week for the past 4 weeks running. I even bought one and now I have got two. I might buy another so I would have a third just in case.

My local walmart had multiples of every expansion pack except dark light crypt today when I was there.

Interestingly I recently saw Adventure Packs (all 3 except Darklight Crypt) at Target...frankly to see any SSA in the wild at this point in a retail store is pretty rare. I pretty much pick them up anytime I see them as I now want a couple of extras.

I did get the last one in the Brick, NJ Target. I see the Empire of Ice pack practically everywhere I go.

I once picked up two and traded them for various skylanders thinking I had another on the way from wal mart online and then they cancelled my order!! I regret it to this day!

This set is cheaper to buy on eBay than in stores.

Where are you looking because I've been seeing them go for $50 plus

Question to the OP, are looking to open and play or keep boxed? You may be able to get stuff cheaper if you buy it in singles pieces if you are okay with it being out of the box.

Depending on where you live, they can be either easy to find or impossible. I recommend visiting a variety of Skylanders forums and asking around; many players dislike scalpers and like other players, so you very well may find someone who will buy and ship one to you at cost.

I'm really hopeful DC will show up somewhere since you guys are saying they are actually still appearing. I'm still kicking myself for not getting them Christmas 2011 when they were all over the place.

Darklight Crypt is back in the SA Boxes that TRU gets in. Problem is getting TRU to stock it. My TRU is sitting on some much new SA stuff. They have tons of Voodood prism break boomer triple packs along with Camo and Warnado Triple back, the original Legendary pack, and all the adventure packs, BUT they rarely pop those open and stock them due to so much giants backstock. When Hot head was still semi hard to find, they sat on 30 wave 2 cases forever.

and Yes TRU gets back new SA shipments, that label as ST W6, or SA W8 or whatever. I believe the camo and warnado are in ST W7 cases, and the case has 4 of those

My TRU is litered with SA stock on the floor---Chop Chop Hex Drill Sgt...but none of them are available at BOGO/40...I'll have to ask them if they have any SA stock in the back.

I found one at a target about a month ago. Only one I've come across.

Im just gonna open it when i find it. Its to actually play with, not to re-sell, lol. So if i could find an open set (as long as it has the cards too) id buy em. I guess il keep checkin stores just for the heck of it. maybe il get lucky

That seems to be the problem with my TRU, they don't stock very well. When they do they move stuff quickly. I wish I could go thru their back stock and see if I could find any good stuff.

I know what all they have, I've gotten really good with several of the managers, I've gone through all those SA cases and Wave 2 cases. I also know when they get new stuff in, I keep telling them if they stock better they can move more. but it falls on the night stockers

So should i start asking the electronics section sales people at toys r us and target, if they have what im looking for in the stock room? I can just see them looking at me n saying "if its not out here, we dont have it", lol

I've only come across Darklight Crypt at Target.

When my brother got one at Target, we were actually looking for the Dragon's Peak pack. He asked the person in Electronics and she went in the back and brought out the Dragon's Peak and Darklight Crypt packs. So in that instance they didn't even have Darklight Crypt out on the floor.

It doesn't hurt to ask the person at Electronics to check the stock in the back. You might get lucky.

Id do that but targets have signs up saying we cant ask for stock in back lol

they are out there i got lucky and found 3 at a target in orange ca, and i saw at least 6 at a walmart in buena park ca, just a few days ago

I've seen 2 at Target and 5 at Walmart since December.

Ohhhhhh.......... NY that explains it. I would take a picture and then send it to corporate. I don't think they would like that.

Well if anyone sees "Darklight Crypt" anywhere or even boomer around NY/pa/nj/ct area let me know. I don't mind taking road trips for stuff. I went 4hrs for jade flashwing, thou I did visit family that lived there so it wasnt bad

That said, if I see SSA sets I'll post their locations (Michigan only).

Some folks weren't paying attention during the Frito Lay promo. I was a lazy collector back in SSA... Give me some S1 Wrecking Ball and Boomer please!

The darklight crypt chapter, when played in giants, appears to be bugged. The enemy goal number continually resets to zero and some of the board elements flash in and out. I wonder if Activision has stopped producing this expansion to limit customer complaints over the software. I have found several people post about the same error but found no ways to resolve.

Can you post links? And they can't post bug updates to their software? What they need another billion in sales to pay some guy in India to fix this?

I'm not sure what kind of links you want but you will find several references to the bug by searching Google for "Darklight Crypt enemy goal."
I personally experience the bug every time I play that chapter and have yet to get the third star. I have gone so far as to farm the bark demons at the very end of the chapter but it always resets to zero before reaching 75.
I play on the Wii. Perhaps it is limited to that platform

I don't think it is limited to the Wii. I know that Ghost Roaster has problems also. One of his quests is glitched.

well i checked at target n asked them to look in the stock room. the lady looked for a darklight crypt but didnt find one. she did however find a series2 Spyro, which i was happy to buy.
Sadly i may end up having to buy one from ebay

I found mine at Walmart a few weeks ago. (In Illinois)

I have seen all the other adventure packs at Target, but never DC.

I checked a regular Target and Super Target yesterday and WalMart...good news is adventure packs are kinda coming back...bad news---no DC.

check sams club if you have a few close by ive seen adventure packs there

^My Sams Club has the most pathetic availability of anything Skylanders...

A question for those of us that know more about the inner workings of retailing and inventory than I know ...

Is the Target DPCI number 207-00-0048 the same for all SSA Adventure Packs?
If so, that makes it pretty tough to nail down a Target location that has the Darklight Crypt in stock, right?

Any suggestions?
Almost every Target I visit has Pirate Seas, Empire of Ice, or Dragon's Peak in stock ... but literally none of them have the Darklight Crypt. Maybe I'm just unlucky?

That's been my experience everywhere. I'm generally surprised ANY of them are now slowly resurfacing, but DC is not checking in anywhere.

no sam's club up here, been to one once in PA it was ok.

Just to follow-up on this thread ... I was shocked, but I did indeed locate Darklight Crypt today at a Sams Club. As a bonus, the Adventure Packs are only 17.99 there (as opposed to 19.99 at Target).

The really odd thing was that the ONLY Skylanders Sams Club had in stock were 3-packs and Adventure Packs. They had no single character packs for sale. Kinda weird; but I'm not complaining, at least today!
