I am refusing to go to Ebay - at this time - for Polar. I, nor any of us, should have to bend over backwards for Skylanders. Every region should get every figure, so everyone can have a complete collection if they want one.

It's already stupid that I felt the need to reserve 4 Scarlets from Amazon.de. I am paying 18 dollars extra to get 4 of those.

I mean, it would be cool if someone in Norway started hooking us Americans up, and maybe we could start hooking them up with figures they may not have.

Even if it weren't through trading, it would be cool if someone in Norway offered them to us at cost, but asked for us to offer something they may not have at cost.

It's too bad Royal didn't come out in a single pack, which would make for easier trade fodder. Even then, a website would have to be established for trading, since this site doesn't allow it. Heck, I would give someone in Norway a sealed Volcanic Vault, plus a sealed Skylanders Battlegrounds with Royal Double Trouble, for 4 of those. That's what I would say if I were on some trade forum, but trading isn't allowed here, so I can't sit there and make a topic stating that.

Sigh. Sometimes this site is awesome, while sometimes it doesn't make any sense.

This too shall pass; TFB has been silent all along about who is getting what exclusives, and so it will go. Polar and Scarlet will, in all likelyhood be released stateside; or at the very least be available for mail-order (like Scarlet from Amazon.de) so I dont see any serious collector having much trouble getting both of them. GM78: Be the collector you have been, or don't . Small roadbumps like this shouldn't stop you. On the other hand, if you want to stop , then stop. You will have alot of extra money for other things.
Bottom line: you should enjoy your hobby/obsession/collection for what it is, and I hope you do what will bring you the most joy. Happy hunting!

I can see the point you're trying to make and I know that part of the fandom would react negatively for a while, but the same will happen regardless. I wager air that if Polar Whirlwind were in the USA for general sale right now, pinheads would still be attempting to sell her for $40.
Also, you can't exactly say "small geographical location" if they released a new character across all of Europe for example, last time I checked Europe is not exactly small. I would give an example map of where I would release X "cycle" of Y wave, but I'm whollrrible at geography.

However, at this point in time, you totally jumped the gun on your statements, based - obviously - on a lack of reading a post fully.

No, that'd never happen, It's only because they've only released the figure overseas and they're catering to evilbay and scalpers that it's selling for $40+ online. You know, ignore the fact that figures that have been released both here and world-wide also reach these same prices online.

I was talking to someone in the UK, and they don't even have Jade. I hope they're not making Jade and Royal unavailable in the UK, while they make Scarlet and Polar unavailable in the US.

If that's the case, I would easily trade some Jades for Polars, if the oppurtunity arose. However, with us being cut off from trading here, I have no idea how I could convey that message to anyone in Norway.

GM, you're being paranoid. They may very well make Jade and Royal unavailable in the UK, but let's be serious here... Europe-only exclusives? This is an American game, Europe is a secondary market, and that just doesn't make any sense at all. Glow Fright Rider is a totally different deal than a real in-game variant. For all we know, Fright Rider may well have been offered to a store in the states, but there were no takers. I sincerely doubt even that one was ever set aside as being exclusively for Europe.

But based on what happened with Jade, we got her right after - along with other wave 4 figures - they showed up overseas. Now these two show up, but no word on where they're going here? Can't be Walmart, as they just released their current exclusive. So did Target. I asked Gamestop yesterday to look in their systems for a Scarlet Ninjini or Polar Whirlwind... notta.

Best Buy? Could be possible, but since they're being released or are released overseas, we should have known something by now, right?

They could only go to Amazon, Toys R Us, or Gamestop, as they have sotres nationwide or are a popular website for buying products. They can be accessed by everyone who doesn't live in the middle of nowhere, or ordered by the people in the middle of nowhere.

I never said that Walmart or Target hasn't locked down either of these two figures, though. It's more likely they'll pop up at GameStop or on Amazon, but who's to say Walmart doesn't have Scarlet Ninjini lined up to launch as a follow-up to Molten Hot Dog? Or that Target doesn't have Polar Whirlwind set for May? Sure, the other retailers are more likely, but don't count Target and Walmart out completely just yet.

Still though, have faith. We might have a bit of a wait ahead of us, but they'll be here. No doubt about it.

Guess we will see. I just don't think Target or Walmart would get 3 exclusives (5 for walmart if you include GITD SB and Cynder), with the last two coming so soon after Jade and Molten.

I would think Gamestop, Toys R Us, Amazon or Best Buy, but even then, didn't you say on the old wave 4 topic, that since they started showing up overseas, it's only a matter of time (weeks) before they show up here in the US, when refering to wave 4 and Jade?

By that logic, we should already know where these are heading, since they've been released or about to be released.

There's not any reason, today, to doubt that Scarlet Ninjini is coming to Amazon in all countries. The listing in Germany is just the first one, and there's plenty of precedent for that happening. Germany almost always has their listings up first, they're incredibly consistent about those. If March 15 passes with nothing here, THAT is the time to start worrying--not today, and without cause.

Holy crap guys, breathe. Keep an eye out, be a little patient and within 3 to 4 weeks, we will either see it on shelves, for order on a website or at the very least we will know where they are going to be available. I know we all get excited, we all get jumpy and we all have some fear sometimes about "missing out" on getting some of these; wait and see, we won't need to ebay to get these. I agree it is far too early to start worrying about them skipping a US release. These in game variants are in the game guide. It isn't just us collectors that know about them. My son has no idea about chase variants (we don't let him on Internet forums), but he can sure as heck tell you all about Polar Whirlwind and Scarlet Ninjini - and didn't I tell him about them.

And Tashiji is right, it is a game made by a US company, for better or worse for other regions sadly, we are the primary region. A GiTD "special" variant is different from an in game variant that is highlighted in the official game guide.

Also, for some reason I couldn't find regular Ninjini at all on Amazon.de. Anyone else notice that?

But, they did post packaged images Scarlet Ninjini in the past day

Back on subject. Any word on Polar Whirlwind? It's been 5 days since its first sighting in Norway & 3 days since its second sighting in Austria. Any sightings of her in Sweden or is there any insider information on how to get her in the US?

No clue, but I checked out that website through Chrome, and it's not showing if they deliver to the US.

Eh, I'm fine waiting for Polar Whirlwind here - I merely looked out of curiosity. I might order if it was on a site like Amazon, since they are a reputable company here as well and my ID worked over there too. But, I highly doubt that Polar is going to be unique to a few local chains in a few European countries.

Amazon.de delivers to the USA.......I purchased from them before....Use google chrome for order....log in with ur same USA amazon acct Info ( Email and Password or watever you chose ) which has ur address info already if you ordered before....you going to see....( Vereinigte Staaten von Amerika = United States Of America.....)

If you mean Polar, I would love for that to be the case, and I would love to be wrong.

But, we all usually have our signs when something is coming out, yet this one is dead silent in the info department.

With that said - keep in mind, Target's Jade Flashwing wasn't supposed to release until the 19th. It's entirely possible that there are retailers that are getting a "Wave 4" variant that hasn't released info yet.

And... there's nothing saying that a mega retailer (like Walmart or something) might not get another variant.

Thank you UncleBob! Some of these posters are in hysterics and panicking over items that will surely be out in the US.

They will be risking A LOT if they don't get these variants out. The chase variants made exclusives are a different story and the waves aren't done so who's to say EU won't get Royal Double Trouble?

I agree with Unclebob on this - the only thing predictable about Skylanders this year is they are unpredictable. It's fun to talk over and speculate, but I'm not about to swear off the game over this sort of thing. It'll be here eventually.

Well, there is something about saying Walmart might get it - that's your department. If it was coming to Walmart people are thinking you would have said something about it by now. Or maybe you just did ... hmm.
