Lemme rephrase it... No one cares to put any colons on top of a u because sometimes you can still read it the same way regardless.

They're called a diaeresis (or umlaut). And no, when you're reading words, it's NOT read the same. Accents are used in words to specify pronounciation, inflection, and where there is and is not pause in a letter.

Maybe, but another thing. Most people don't even know the ALT+Numpad shortcuts... And I also think that Valkyrie uses a phone most of the time. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I'm on a phone, I don't want to screw around for five minutes to find the appropriate accent for a character. I would much rather type a "u" instead, and not give a damn if it's not proper.

Oh. I didn't know she used a phone. Sorry.
