I've just been informed that the Jade Flashwing DPCI will be hard locked in Targets' system starting tomorrow 3/6. And will show a pop up on the register that says "Do not sell until 3/17".
So you have until the store closes tonight to get your hands on a Jade Flashwing or wait until 3/17.

Might want to change the article on the front page also.

That explains why the availability status is now unavailable on the website. Thanks for the info.

Whew... Good thing I called Target to have them hold me a couple until tonight.

Glad I bought one and had another on order before they realized they had to save them for a weekly ad.

Whew - for a minute there, I thought my iPhone was having problems, or I was going to be screwed! I went to one store that had them in stock (according to their App, and the fact that I saw them on pegs), but I forgot to hit the ATM before I went there. I got cash and hit a different location, and the app was unable to give me an inventory status, and none were on shelves. I entered the DPCI into the price scanner, and saw that they had some in the back, so I found a nice kid to go and get me 2! I'm glad I didn't get shut out!

This is being done to ensure all stores have enough quantities to support the Weekly Ad that falls on St. Patricks day. I'm sure the inventory analysts at Target HQ saw that these were selling earlier than they anticipated, and are stopping sales to make sure the shelves are stocked on St. Patricks day.
Especially since Target will also be promoting her in the following ad (March 24th) as well.

Still, no reason to panic. If you don't get one now, you know you can be pretty much guaranteed to get one for 9.99 (or take advantage of the Buy 2, Get 1 Free promotion that week) between March 17-30th.

lol. So, all those posters who where giving Target associates a hard time for not selling them... looks like the associates were doing the right thing.

I hope no employees got in trouble/fired over this. From the stories I've seen some people were getting pretty pushy. Their instincts to not just put them out were apparently correct.

Like I said in another thread. They should have never been out on the sales floor until the 17th. Jade has her own DPCI that doesn't set on the 17th. But, it had no street date so it was okay to sell.
No one will get in trouble for it so you don't have to worry about that.

Just went 30 minutes ago and the employee took the box out of the back unopened. He put the rest on the shelves. So you said they are going back into the box into the 17th? That doesn't make sense?

They are going to show up at the register as "Do not sell until 3/17"
So yes, once someone tries to buy one on the shelf after today they will be going back in the box until 3/17

I just received my shipping confirmation for mine from Target. Will arrive on Monday!

The guy at my Target today said they didn't have any. He searched the computer and said there weren't any in the back.

My buddy and I got lucky then.
I went to Target this morning and picked up three. One for my kids and two for his. They had 20 of them on hand. Had I known they were going to be street-dated, I would have grabbed a few more for other friends. Oh well...

And for those tempted to buy on ebay for scalpers, for the love of god, wait 11 more days!
I promise, you will have no problem finding her at Target the week of the 17th.
I can see if it was a brand new character, but this is just a color variant. Wait 11 days if you can make it that long.

Glad I got mine this last weekend! The store I picked her up from had about 15 or so on the shelf. I actually had to ask the guy to look up the number (called ahead first). He was skeptical but did it anyway. Lo and behold they had a box in the back. He set one aside for me and when I got there the rest were out on pegs.

This most unfortunate. I'm going to the US on Sunday and was hoping to pick up a jade flash wing. Guess that won 't be happening now.

You never know - if you go to the right store and sweet talk the right manager, they might make an exception.

Got my shipping confirmation a few days ago. Mine'll be here on Monday. So glad I was able to go ahead and buy while she was still available!

Just wanted to say that I can confirm that they will no longer sell JF until the 17th. I tried to buy one today.

Our Jade Flashwing just arrived today via UPS. Although it was packed in a darn bubble pack envelope, it was in perfect shape (not crushed in the slightest)! Target & UPS did good for once.
