I'm interested in finding out who all here plays with their girlfriend/boyfriend or spouse? I know a lot of parents get into it because of their kids but what about those of us who are just kids at heart?
How'd you get them to start playing?
How often do you play?
I introduced my wife to flashwing and the prospect of getting ninjini and she's as hooked as I am now.

I play with my husband. My nephew got him started on it at Thanksgiving by showing him all of his figures. So we bought the starter pack and he started playing.
I resisted playing at first because I told him once I started playing then I would need to collect all of them. So yeah, he wore me down and now we go hunting for Skylanderd together. We each have our own bags of our preferred Skylanders that we are trying to level up. It's a fun activity to do together. We actually get bummed when we have no Skylanders to hunt for because we enjoy going out together and looking for them. We usually play every night. If we have TV to watch then one of us plays on the Wii U Gamepad. |

That sounds a lot like what happened with my wife ha ha. I do agree going and hunting for skylanders is fun and a great way to spend time together.

I play with my girlfriend. We're both 22.
When Skylanders first came out we were really intrigued by the concept. Basically, we were looking for a co-op game to play together and this was it!

I used to play with my girlfriend until we broke up. I encouraged her to play and she became obsessed with it. And started a quite hilarious infatuation with wreaking ball

My wife and I play together, which can be both good and bad. The good is that it can be fun to play together. We don't have many games that we both like.
The bad is that we have very different interest levels. When I'm interested in something, I tend to throw myself into it. She likes to dabble in things. It gets very frustrating, because it takes forever from my perspective to do anything if I wait for her, and she gets very irritable if I don't. |

I play skylanders with my boyfriend either that or borderlands all the time. He likes to do the heroic challenges for the variants like the legendaries or the characters I'm not too found of. His favorite is Fright Rider.

My fiancé's nephews showed him the game, and then he showed it to me in the store. I bought it instantly. Now we play together whenever we can.

My husband and I play together. We got started last year with SSA when the sidekicks came out. I do the Heroic challenges during the week while he plays Everquest and then we play Giants on the weekend

Got my boyfriend into the game when he came to visit a couple weeks ago and now his collection is bigger then mine! *laughs* We're use to playing single player games alongside each other and the great thing with Skylanders is that then we can also play together "actually" when he visits. It's also great on the collecting front. He has access to a lot of stuff I wouldn't by myself. Plus, gaming was kinda going down for me and I'm glad to have found something I really enjoy.

Ahh i remember everquest, played that game for yrs till wow came out. The wife and I got into it after our son got it from his aunt for Xmas. He had been asking for it and I sort of new of the game. Once he opened it he wanted me to play with him then I and soon the wife were hooked. We all often go on skylander hunts with our recent taking us 3 and half hrs from home to get jade whirlwind, |

Our whole family plays: The 3 kids will rotate in and out (and we occasionally get a chance) playing levels or arena battles. After the kids are in bed we will play heroic challenges or our own game save.
We had shared Skylanders, but after the kids got bday/xmas money they started buying their own that they could nickname, etc. It's been our go-to family game since we got it for Christmas 2011. |

I play Skylanders with my boyfriend of nearly six years. We are 22/23. It's just so much more fun to play in co-op! We played all the way through the main story together. I'm the one that collects them though...I think he only has around 10 figures.

My husband and I play, but I'm the collector. He loves buying all the upgrades and grinding the challenges. We got started because a friend of ours who works at gamestop was like "Look at this figure! OMG It's a DRAGON ROBOT! This is the greatest thing that ever happened" LOL... so we gave it a shot. Our collection is pretty huge. We get everything that isn't chase, and try to avoid S2 characters altogether, though the lure of those is sometimes too much. We have about 8 of the S2. Even though he says we need to slow down on buying them, he gets off work early today and is going hunting for S2 Spyro and Wrecking Ball because he's cute.

I play with my wife. She's Vhraina on the forums, although we mostly just share this account nowadays. She's the collector, I'm the Heroic Challenge slave, so we both pull our weight to some degree. Our son loves it; the portal swapping aspect of the game and the LightCores are like literal magic to a toddler. It's not either of our favorite game, but it's something we can both agree on when it comes time for co-op or PVP, and that's great.

THIS. That's the whole reason my husband and I got into this game. S:SA came out when fun co-op non-shooter games were just non-existent. They still kind of are, really, so we're still playing. |
