First question, Does anyone have theirs showed as being shipped? I called as mine was not and they stated that my order currently being held because it was back ordered. Now, I did call over the weekend and switched shipping options on it and made sure that I was not going to lose my order, but it appears that I may have.

Second question, Did anyone else call and check on their order today? I will post more info as I get it.

Yeah............. I lost my order because I changed my shipping, After they told me I would not lose my order if I did that. Sigh, guess I will go look around or wait for it to be processed. They did upgrade me to free overnight.

That is what the guy told me.... I am not to fond of their call center staff. I have called four times and got told four different things. I guess, I learned this time.

It shouldn't have been Skylanders Dad. They were in the W4 boxes that Gamestop got. Two of them. So should be good. I just had a bad feeling about mine.

Also, they didn't upgrade me to free overnight shipping too boot. They just lowered my two day shipping to the value shipping cost.... /sigh.

Well, I ordered way more than my Wrecking Ball and Spyro...if they don't ship mine because I adjusted the quantities I'll be canceling the entire order. Mine don't show shipped...but guys--unless you pay 9.99 for shipping they have multiple business days for processing. Mine should show shipped by end of day today.

Come to think of it, the guy did make mention of the word "cancel" when I said I wanted my quantities adjusted---really guys? Is your IT system that lame? Grrr....calling now.

Does it show up as backordered on your GameStop.com order form? If not, there's always hope that the guy you talked to doesn't know anything and just fed you a story to get you off the phone. That's generally a REALLY safe assumption with customer service reps.

Hmmm....my guy says it will ship out today...who knows...regardless I'll know by end of day today so no need to get stressed about it.

Nothing on my order form says backordered...just doesn't show shipped. I'll actually assume everything will be ok here and move on.

Guys---they don't include weekends for processing time---I think everyone is jumping the gun.

Well, it's news to me that we are all working in a "queue". If we ordered the items, they should be shipped to us--bottom line. Again, the weekend doesn't count for processing days. Mine should show shipped today because I paid for the 1-day processing and 1-day shipping.

Yeah, the two day shipping allows one business day for processing also. I will know later tonight or early tomorrow I guess.

If previous Gamestop Skylander orders are anything to go by, they will changed to "Order Shipped" this evening when their UPS shipment goes out. They give 1 business day unless you do the cheapest shipping and their trucks probably don't show up until he end of the day so everything can go out at the same time with the other orders that come in today.

Speaking of online ordering, did anyone who ordered ninjini from toysrus.com get a shipping confirmation email. I feel like everything from wave 4 is taking too long to be shipped.

Well, evidently they're pretty far along on the order process for mine. Attempted to cancel after finding the toys in-store, but it's beyond the point where that's possible on the automated site. That can only mean that the order may be "open," but it is packaged.

The only reason I'm confused is that the estimated arrival is between the 5th and 8th which is this week, but I forgot weekends don't count as weekdays.

That is what the first person I talked to on Saturday told me that they could only stop/cancel my order. The second person I talked to then told me that I could upgrade my shipping with out losing my spot. They are far along in the process. They should go out tonight.

Yeah, I am angry. I sent emails to Gamestop and they sent me some back right away and now nothing. Not to happy at the moment. Good news is all of my Jade Flashwings shipped.

I got my Gamestop shipment notification for both my Fright Rider and my Wrecking ball/Spyro guys--and the other 12 or so I ordered. It seems they release the e-mails in "batch" since I received my e-mail more or less exactly as others did.

I'm kinda wishing I didn't scale back my order. Sounds like I could've helped you and someone else on their skylanders. If I find any locally I'll buy a few extra for those who REALLY need them.

I'll be honest. Part of it is my fault for not choosing the faster shipping at the start. However, they should have trained their employees better to know that upgrading is going to make someone lose their order and have to go to the back of the line basically.

Well, it's understandable that we're human and make mistakes. I think someone messed up your order--probably by accident--but they did. Yes training appears to be the issue.

For what it is worth, they did tell me that they did expect more stock in anytime from Activision. Now, I would assume that but, we don't know for sure.

They send them out when the truck leaves - so all confirmations go out at the same time.

In general, for these online order things there are a few things to keep in mind to decrease your chance at problems.

- Limit your order to only 2 max of each unique item. Most of the retailers have a history of cancelling bulk orders as few as 3 or more. Sometimes you can get more, but you are rolling the dice. If you get cancelled you get none, very few places will adjust your order - it is much easier to just cancel it and tell you to re-order (and they will be gone, of course).
- Choose the shipping that at minimum limits the processing time. Once you get a tracking number you are good to go, you want to limit the time until you get one. This almost always means avoiding the cheapest method, you pay for the peace of mind. Not to mention if they oversold being the last to get packed up means you might get backordered.
- Don't change anything after you place the order. That just increases the chance of your order being kicked to the back of the list. If they get confused they might put it on hold, and guess which orders get backordered?

GhostRoaster, Gamemaster did get 4 of each, but he did separate orders - and as he found out, they cancelled a lot of bulk orders. Yours might have gotten caught up in that, so take solace in the fact you are getting your shipment - we don't know exactly where they drew the line.

Yeah the good news is Gamestop lets you do that up until shipping. Target disallows cancelling 30 minutes after ordering. And TRU shifts things to "Located in stock" as soon as they can to prevent cancelling.

Thing that gets me is mine hadn't even shipped yet. I called on Saturday, ordered Friday night like everyone else. So, I don't know why they couldn't have updated it and not kicked me to the back.

You threw a curve ball in the system, I've had it happen to me previously too. Online ordering is set up to require a minimum of human interaction. When they have to step in things get messed up.
