I can't speak for Hot Dog as my wife leveled him up, however Bouncer is fun. He starts off a little slow, (when I say slow, I don't mean speed wise. I mean takes awhile to get into.) but after playing with him he grows on you!

As far as collecting goes, neither of them should be too tricky to find, at least if the ridiculous number of "Gummi" Drill Sergeants and Glow-in-the-Dark Sonic Booms were any indication. But I'd probably grab Molten Hot Dog first because he's more likely to be sold out in the short-term.

In terms of gameplay, I liked Bouncer more than Hot Dog (your mileage may vary), and Legendary Bouncer gives a slight stat bonus compared to his normal variant. Molten Hot Dog's just a palette swap when it's all said and done, and won't recognized as any different than regular Hot Dog in any of the iOS games. (Not even sure if he has a unique appearance in Universe.)

Hot Dog is my favorite flame skylander. Flame Wall is pretty good, just got Molten Hot Dog to lvl up and go down the other path.

I did all of the arena's with HD and completed all of the heroic challenges.

Also the first Skylander I lvl'ed to 15.

May have to do with the fact that my daughter also loves Hot Dog!

Gee, I think that I'll get . Which magic 'lander should I get (not counting Spyro). Also I am asking from a half gameplay half collecting standpoint with amazon price in mind too.

Nope...I compared the cards. Exactly the same.

Let the answer to this depend on which you have the regular versions of. If you have plain Hot Dog but no iteration of Bouncer, then L. Bouncer is clearly the better idea. Likewise for if you have plain Bouncer but never bothered with the Scorpion Striker. If you do have both, I'd recommend L. Bouncer, simply because that one is less likely to stick around in stores for the long-term. Molten being new, and a Walmart exclusive, I'd say it's safe to expect you'll be able to get him for a long while. I'm not sure if they plan to print any more Legendary Bouncers or not.

I don't think you can go by the cards. Crusher and Granite Crusher cards are the same but they have been proven to have different stats. I think (Not 100% on this) that Granite Crusher gets more armor and Crit hit.

Oh, tough! Both characters look cool and play well.

If you have one and not the other, that might help.

L. Bouncer has been out longer and has improved stats.

But hot dog is one of my favorite Skylanders--I think he plays great and want Molten just to do both of his paths.

Hot Dog kicks serious butt in the arenas. I'm *terrible* at that kinda stuff and I've cleared all of them with him because he moves quick, his fireballs shot at a good range and flame wall rocks for taking care of little crap and letting you turn to deal with something else once it's gone off.
