I feel like need to be there when they open for wave 4 but I cant find where I read that.......should I be there?

I doubt they will be in stores tomorrow. We have sources in all stores and would have let us know if a store was getting new figures tomorrow.

I posted this in another thread, but my son and I each have a set. The others stay packaged as part of a box collection. I'm a mini version of GameMaster78. I did mess up Shroom and Hot Dog--I only needed 3 each. Might sell those extras.

Spyro ran out of stock literally as I was placing the order. I got Wrecking Ball though.

Wrecking Ball and Spyro both sold out. Only ShroomBoom and Hot Dog individual packs remain.

I say as long as people are ordering 4 for themselves and not to scalp, there ain't a **** thing wrong with that.

Can't wait to have these babies on my wall. I don't know if I should update my collection pics when these come in, or after I get the two new Lightcores, which could come at anytime, but we don't know when?

I ordered LC Shroomboom and Molten Hot Dog from Amazon, so I'm good as far as adding them to my collection is concerned. As for Spryo and Wrecking Ball, I may have to wait until they're available again.

GhostRoaster, the thing that is wrong with it is Gamestop is pretty well known for banning people for ordering multiple (more than 1 or 2) of hot items. It happened with Wham Shell, and it happens all the time with flippers (buy games on sale to trade in other places for a higher value) over on CAG. You might wind up being prevented from ordering from Gamestop.com for a long time - and get labelled as a re-seller. And get your order cancelled and end up with none.

That's nice to know...thanks. It would be a more proactive business approach if they just limit the number to 1 or 2 then, wouldn't you think? Wow--let's alienate the customer who wants to buy something lol. I'm sure they clearly list this policy somewhere on the web site...?

Btw, over half my order was "non hot" items (this was a LARGE order), because I never got some of the wave 1/2 characters in full quantity. If they cancel my order they'd be shooting themselves in the foot...

Well I'm sure they disagree...simply stating they could proactively solve this problem. And I'm not a scalper.

It all goes back to that "make one happy, 20 unhappy" vs. "make one unhappy, 20 happy" logic. Re-sellers compete for dollars they want.

Put it like this, imagine going to Pizza buffet. The first guy that goes up grabs every single piece of the good pizza, stacking his plate up. All that is left is that stupid taco pizza and crumbs for the next 10 in line. Now what is good for business, allowing that to happen or telling the guy to get a reasonable amount?

You might get lucky and not be a problem, or not. It simply isn't worth it because you may end up with nothing. On something new it is always best to stick with 1 or 2. They will be much more common down the road for filling up your packaged collection. Let someone have it that now will open it and enjoy it.

Def, I think I remember instances where they "MIGHT" have cancelled people for ordering more than a couple, but I also remember instances where someone ordered 4 of an item from Spyro's Adventure and they arrived to that person.

However, if one is worried, check your bank account. I've have money taken out of my bank for the orders. Gamestop normally doesn't take money until something is instock and ready to ship.

They deducted money from me, but they assure people they don't do that unless the item is available. So, they would be getting quite a few nasty phone calls if money was held back from people, only to release and cancel it.

I have money also deducted from the Jade Flashwing order from target.com as well.

Money isn't deducted, that's an authorization (until it posts, and that won't happen until Monday at minimum, the money isn't theirs) - and they can put it back as easily as they take it out. That is just a "do they have the money, if so reserve it" sort of thing.

Not that I disagree, they have let things like that through before. I just mentioned it as a warning. Several people on CAG have gotten shafted over things like that (Wham Shell most notably, I think even a moderator there got nailed), it all depends on when they choose to take action.

A whole lot of people got really mad at Walmart the other day. The short term memory loss around here is astounding at times.

I could go on there right now and order something else that is reservable and they wouldn't even put an authorization hold on the money in my bank.

That's what leads me to believe that - MAYBE - they won't cancel it.

Guys: I'll admit it---I should've ordered 2 instead of 4 on a very new item. I have no problem selling it at cost here for anyone who wants one. I always buy 1 or 2 but for once wanted to stop messing around with it and get it done. I'm ready to be done buying these things, in all honesty. I'll even call them on Monday to see if they can adjust quantities.

As everyone can attest in the other thread I'm trying to help people here GET these things...I assure you it's not to scalp. Those guys are WAY slicker than me...I'm just using brute skills to know when it's available. They have access to people and information I do not lol.

I wasn't talking about reserving one, I was talking about the banks reserving the money in an authorization. Honestly trust me on this one, it is my line of work. It isn't indicative of a transaction being final. They have processed the transaction, which means you might be ok - they are at the point of confirming credit card information, but until it ships they can still change it.

I agree it is much more likely that the 10-20+ guys will get nipped. When they have to put those in a box someone is bound to notice, and that's when they make adjustments. I'm just making the suggestion for those that aren't scalpers on how to best avoid the problem. I ordered two Jade myself yesterday, so a friend and I could split shipping costs - and yet I am still a little uneasy myself about that. Don't let your anxiousness to complete your collection put you in a bad situation. It would suck to get banned then that store gets an exclusive.

Like I said, I'm going to call and get clarification on their policy and if I need to adjust quantities. I simply bought too much "junk" in my order that I honestly don't think they would consider it, but I'll err on the side of safety. Thanks for the advice--duely noted. Now let's move on and help others get theirs.

Well, maybe it is a good thing I did do 4 seperate orders. 4 in one, 4 in another, 1 in another, and 1 in another.

Ghostroaster if you have atleast 30 minutes to kill you can call now. I have been on hold with them for the last 30 minutes trying to see if they can adjust my shipping.

I don't think anybody has anything to worry about if they placed their order early. Obviously these things are filled chronologically. Considering that the figures have been in and out of stock periodically since last night, I really doubt anyone who ordered theirs immediately after the listing posted has even the first thing to worry about. Granted, it's like people are saying, nothing is final until shipping confirmation... but be confident. If they're going to cancel orders, it'll be the people who ordered this morning first. Last night's orders only have cause to worry if the availability itself was somehow an error, which I doubt sincerely.

Yeah just think logically about it, you are a guy in the warehouse packing up orders (this is done by hand). You get an order that has 20 of the exact same item and you then have to get a bigger box for it (the vast majority of their orders don't need huge boxes). That's the sort of thing that makes them call a manager over and question.

Scalpers (most of them) aren't terribly slick. They get greedy, and that's when they get cut off.

I do have to say Gamestop could use some more help in their call center... been holding for 45 minutes now.

So.... I finally got thru to Gamestop.... They have my order packed and ready to ship on Monday. It was too late to change the shipping on it however. Oh well, atleast I won't have to look around for it. Also, looks like we don't have anything to worry about as far as orders being cancelled.

Anyone order stuff from Gamestop with value shipping, does it really take the 5-10 days transit time? Somehow I just can't see it really taking that long.

It took longer when I bought my Glitter Skylanders from GS. (13 days)

Everything is cool...I changed the quantities to 2 of everything and I'll order 2 more of these guys later on in another order. Just a PITA to pay for another shipping charge, but oh well. Think of the children.

I will also see temporary charges for two orders...depends on the CC company to take it off. So now I have to watch that. But it's ok, cause it's all about being fair.

How long did you hold ghost?
