I appreciate the early notice of a figure being purchased off a store shelf in the US. That usually means that over the next few days they'll be made available nationwide and we can start making calls right away.

That's how I got Thumpback/Eye Brawl early, same with Molten Hot Dog and the last set of Wave 3 singles.

Frankly, these are the only notices that I pay attention to. I completely ignore all the release date speculation noise and just wait until someone actually buys them off a store shelf in the US.

So please ignore the hate and keep posting pics of your purchases!

I agree. If you already have a regular S1 Gill it will not help in the games. I got my green Gill buying a SSA starter set on Craigslist which included Trigger Happy, Spyro and Green Gill with portal and game for $25. its still a decent price. Don't look too much at the prices because right now they have Ninjini at $227.50 for a new one and with her "out", that will drop dramatically. Take the info at face value and decide.

I, however, as a "collector" (though the kids play), bought a regular S1 Gill for $5.00 the other day to have both versions.

So its a matter of what you are seeking to get out of it.

You are welcome. But I cannot take credit. Someone else had posted it in another thread and I fear I do not recall who. My hat's off to him/her because I use it when evaluating a purchase on eBay or Craigslist.

Now for some good news, guys go to target.com and look up jade flashwing, click on check store availability, type in 91352 ( yes i know that may not be your area) but now it shows 5 stores have her in stock, one would think this means she is starting to roll out , her dcpi is different from the other its
207-00-1147, untill their website shows shes in stock in you're area i guess shes not there yet, but she is a target exclusive and she has her own unique number

Target.com is not to be trusted regarding in store stock. I've gone for multiple items that were "in stock" at the store in my locale and they were nowhere to be found when I got there after target.com telling me otherwise. Be wary.

It's not stated, but Target.com is on a 24 hour update. Which means if a store has one of a certain item it will say in stock on the site. But if that item is purchased sometime in that day then the website wont show out of stock until the following day. This is why it is always best to call first and have them put thenitem on hold for you.

In case nobody saw the other thread, Jade Flashwing is available for order on Target.com. Downside is shipping is $5, but it'll save you the running around.

All week to this day, I checked Walmart, Target, & Toys R Us. No Wave 4; aka Hex Lightcore, Chill Lightcore, Pop Fizz Lightcore, Series 2 Drobot, Series 2 Spyro, & Series 2 Wrecking Ball. The only new ones I got are Jade Flashwing & Legendary Lightcore Chill...

Wave 4 doesn't have Lightcore Hex and Series 2 Drobot in it.

Just got back from the local TRU. Had a discussion with the store manager, who is very friendly and generally very helpful. I showed him a pic of the Legendary LC Chill and the "525453" number that goes along with her. He seemed surprised and genuinely hadn't seen/heard of Legendary LC Chill before. He brought me to the business office, left the door open, and asked one of his staffers to check the "525453" number in their database. They confirmed that the "525453" number is accurate, and that 6000+ boxes of Legendary LC Chill (each box containing multiple Chills) are in process (being packaged up?) at TRU warehouses currently. He said he anticipates the items hitting the sales floor here locally (Charlotte, NC) around March 20th, and that he anticipates additional "wave 4" items to accompany those shipments of Legendary LC Chill.

With all of the ingame variants... it appears that they get more Crit hit and more armor? I think. Someone can back me up or tell me what they get.

Well, I also forgot to mention single pack Shroomboom and Hot Dog being in wave 4, as well as only 1 triple pack showing up so far for wave 4, which is Fright Rider, Wrecking Ball, and Flameslinger.

It's easy to know those characters I listed above are in wave 4 from those who have the figures in the Netherlands, and stock image art showing up on various websites.

However, my predictions were always that Slam Bam would also be in wave 4, along with Bash or Hex, but now I am going with Hex, so she could be in triple pack 8, if there is a triple pack 8 in this wave, which I think would consist of Hex, Spyro, and Slam Bam.

Wave 5 isn't boring for everyone wanting one of every unique packaging, because if that's the case, people get to look forward to a single pack Jet-Vac, Chop Chop, and Zap, along with Series 2 Drobot and Lightcore Hex.

Oh, I was wondering if some report of case contents or an online review package had gone out. You are just speculating (albeit intelligently).

No wave is going to be dull for collectors that want them in package. But it is kinda dull for those like me that just want one of each and open them all. And even more dull for the average player.

The vast majority of Skylanders players are kids, and most parents won't go for multiples/reposes. In general, I am surprised that at this point TFB has shipped every single unique figure. All that is left are reposes. The only thing you cannot do in the game right now is a Wow-Pow for three figures. If you are a kid that doesn't have many, you certainly don't blow your opportunity to get a new figure on something you already have. So what news do they have to get excited about at this point? Sure they have the ones already out to get, but new figures cause new buzz around the playground.

Now, I like Hex, and her Lightcore seems very cool. But Drobot, meh, he is alright, his repose is also pretty underwhelming. I anticipate that when when Wave 4 does show up, the Hot Toy Alert line will be very short at TRU. And the Wave 5 line will be shorter.

So, does anyone know if ZapNorris got a Ninjini this morning when they were available online? So we don't have to hear about it anymore?

Wow! This info is priceless. So we can basically chill for 3 weeks and then get wave 4. I'm wondering if he knew or could confirm what wave 4 characters would be in the box--does it match what we have at the start of the thread? I'm guessing these won't be so in demand since these are all re-posed or slightly different versions of already released characters...compared to say Ninjini.

I'm guessing within two weeks we'll start seeing reports here of purchased wave 4 characters.

Well, def, I was always making predictions about wave 4 singles only for the past month or so. However, once I saw the Netherland listings and seen that only Hot Dog, Spyro, and Wrecking Ball were showing up, I revised my prediction.

My prediction always had Slam Bam and Fright Rider in wave 4. Then Shroomboom showed up. Then official pics, and I was able to piece a better prediction down, which is -

x2 Hot Dog
x2 Shroomboom
x1 Fright Rider
x1 Sprocket
x1 Spyro
x1 Wrecking Ball
x1 Slam Bam
x1 Trigg, Zook, or Ignitor (leaning more towards Trigg or Ignitor for variant potential since Zook has a variant)
x1 Flameslinger
x1 Bash or Hex (90% certain it will be Hex, so Bash can be in the 9th triple pack pending the 8th triple pack is in wave 4)

Say the second wave 2 Series 2 for wave 4 is Hex, that leaves wave 5 looking a bit like this -

x1 Flashwing (I think they're alternating wave 2 Newlanders)
x1 Chill
x1 Drobot
x1 Zap

One person has a series 2 Spyro in the US. We don't even know what store that came from. I'd hold off judgment about Series 2 Spyro being out in stores until more listings appear on Ebay, or someone comes forward saying they got one.

That item could be reserved for some kind of street dated release for all we know.

There's always the VERY OFF chance that this Spyro is a review copy, but that argument loses steam as the seller A) has multiple copies for sale (which by itself rules out the review copy theory... come on) and B ) he isn't selling the would-be companion Wrecking Ball that any reviewer given an advance copy of Spyro would have received as well.

Honestly, I think it's time somebody withheld judgment that the figures AREN'T out at this point and just gave me the benefit out the doubt for once when, let's see...

Ninjini was assumed not to be coming for a while. She was indeed out.

Jade Flashwing was assumed not to be out, even after people bought theirs. Half the forum ordered it today, and I don't hear anymore noise about her.

L. LC Chill was assumed not to be out. nomad bought her, several auctions popped up that same night, and the system didn't stop one of these sales. She's out too.

I'm assuming you work for Target and have experience using the in-store and online system right?

Straight from a Target item page "We constantly strive to provide you with accurate item availability information, but because item quantities are constantly changing, the inventory information provided here is only an approximate indication of an item's in-stock status and an item's availability cannot be guaranteed."

The online inventory checker is not "live". It updates once a day.

Hang on... I can tell you where that Spyro came from in a moment.

His response to me....... I don't think we were supposed to put them out yet, but they did. It was Kmart.

I am trying to figure out if what the street date on them are.

I would guess no street date. Him not knowing if they were supposed to go on the shelves is the logical response to receiving probably dozens of messages about where and how he got the figure. But, immaterial. It was from a store, so they're out. Anyone surprised? No?

And Kmart doesn't ever do anything Skylanders related, so drop your "event" theories at the door on this one.
